Just wondering, since my account is running out and I most likely will have no time to play wotlk:
Is there anyone who wants to take Yata over and continue development?

Oct 14, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from Logio13I used Yata some months ago and today I gave it another try (r80544). I´m not sure but I thought the "Main Totems" (the four always displayed) should be the one last dropped. Has this changed or did I simply mix it up? Right now these totems never change regardless which totem I drop, and I can´t find any way to change them via the menu either.
This only applies to the wotlk beta, the r8xxxx versions can't swap buttons automatically

I was thinking, that maybe when you have auto switch enabled; press swap and the totem will be put on the main button (totem won't be cast). No swap I'm not sure if there'd be a use for in this mode.
Thanks for your answers
I guess you're using the button cooldowns, with the bars the gc is shown, gonna take a look at it.
Oct 13, 2008- I noticed the dropdown menu appearing/disappearing once too, dunno where the bug is, need time to track that down.Posted in: General AddOns
- Yes there will be a way to switch totem sets easily, slash command probably. Currently you can do it via /script Yata:ChangeTotemSet("setname")
- The swap/no-swap keys won't work without auto-switch (with auto-switch disabled it behaves exactly like the old yata)
- Will fix the tooltip
- Not showing any global cooldown will be only possible with bars I think, not with the button cooldowns.
Oct 11, 2008You downloaded the updated wotlk version, which is not compatible with the 2.4.3 patch, I have no idea why the curse updater does that, but in any case you need to get the old version here http://static.wowace.com/uploads/18/143/816/Yata-r80544.3.zipPosted in: AddOn HELP!
Oct 9, 2008Ah ok yes the mini timer below can be disabled/enabled in the next version, i will check if I can move it offset it for the blizzard layout.Posted in: General AddOns
Gonna take a look at the autobutton, maybe some typo
Tooltip setting is buggy atm (dunno why, throws a lua error in some blizzard feedback ui code, not even used by me, as soon as I use GameTooltip:SetSpell and mouseover the buttons i get an lua error) that's why it is disabled (the code is there, but not used).
the blizzard button style should be enabled by default, gonna recheck, but it should be the case if you don't select any buttonfacade stuff for it
Totem sets will be done sooner or later, possibly including the ability to load/unload during combat, but that will probably take awhile.
I think it should be possible to include something like [shift/configurable]-leftclick to move the button to main without doing anything
Oct 9, 2008Posted in: UpdatersQuote from ThrillseekerWill everyone be able to use the svn-server to download addons? I mean for free...
Whats the difference between bandwidth caused by the svn-server and bandwidth caused by updaters?
Why shouldn't / wouldn't everyone just use svn to update their addons thus bypassing CursedClient?
Quite a difference, svn is a different server mechanism, it is uncompressed.
So if everyone would update from svn, it would generate extreme load on the svn servers (so the developers would have quite a few problems updating their addons) and the bandwidth necessary would be a magnitude higher due to the missing compression.
And you would need support for more than svn (git etc.)
I'm sure if there will be wau style applications updating from svn directly it will lead to svn servers which require authorization/credentials for checking out
So the bottom line is:
Worst solution possible
Oct 7, 2008To prepare for a 3.0 release, I'd like to ask shamans with ruRU, frFr, esES, zhTW, koKR wow versions to supply me the localized strings for:Posted in: General AddOns
- "(%d+) min cooldown"
- "(%d+) sec cooldown"
Oct 7, 2008Actually the embed thing was a bug in the previous versions, the correct names is libs.xml (I renamed them while testing somewhen), it doesn't really matter atm until the packager is fixed, then the new version will properly load.Posted in: General AddOns
About the fire totem, I'll take a look at it.
The option dialog was a bug and is fixed now.
about the size of the icon etc. that is actually the official CooldownFrame_SetTimer and BuffFrame_UpdateDuration functions in use. I won't modify them, I guess there are other addons out for that.
Added some more checking code for invalid bar configs (like the one you pasted)
Edit: The packager is fixed now, all necessary externals are in now :)
Oct 6, 2008Yes the current packager is buggy with tags from branches, there is nothing I can do about that, until either the packager is fixed or 3.0 is around the door and I can merge my wotlk branch on main. Just take the 0.0.x version and use the libs from the full zip file a few posts above.Posted in: General AddOns
