this has been mentioned before, but still appears unresolved for me.

hide samwise icon option does nothing.
delete the addon, remove saved variables, tick/untick to no effect.

anyone else seeing the same thing?

the embeds.xml was updated to reference LibGratuity 3.0 but the addon package still doesn't include the library itself.
Needs someone with SVN access to set the lib properties as well.

It's been an Blizz standard option since the last patch.

Check your Interface options. It may well be that and not Omen at all.

Latest update through WoWAceupdater causes these errors as seen by BugGrabber.

    While logging in I get these 2 errors;

and I got this when I died on my level 62 dreaneishaman

    Antagonist.toc

    Change line 33
    libs\ParserLib\ParserLib 1.1\ParserLib.lua

    to
    libs\ParserLib\ParserLib.lua

or quite possibly create the ParserLib 1.1 directory and move ParserLib.lua into that.

    Support for multiple professions bags.
Sorting of item type by level. Mana pots, health pots, bandages etc currently it's a bit mixed up.

Apart from that I love your work as it is, thanks for creating the handiest addon in my UI.

The snapshots at most take 200k on disk.

You can disable them in the preferences.

If your referring to the option Save Old Version Info, I've never enabled it. It still creates snapshots.

Is it possible to add an option to disable the creation of addon snapshots.

If something is broken I tend to investigate and manually install the previous working version, creating an .svn folder to prevent updates until I know the issue is resolved.

Being able to disable the snapshots would save me removing the directory every week or so.

I tended to lose items when I had mail addons installed. Generally from the auto collection features. So I don't use them.

Bulk mailing always threw up errors for me. Generally during server load, but that tends to be when I have time to play. So I do it the old fashioned way. One by one.

Mail tracking is something I don't need, I know I sent it. If it isn't just money, it takes an hour.

I did at one stage use GMail, and followed the forum topics for a while for the Postman and Postal addons. A quick read through some of the content there will probably show you where my thinking comes from.

These are just my experiences though. I don't doubt there are many satisfied users of all those addons. They mostly likely work very well for them and I suspect many of the issues may have been resolved or worked around. They didn't for me, so I opt not to use them. Plus Blizz didn't respond well to my request to get a lost blue chest item back with enthusiasm.

I've been toying with the idea since I posted the request yesterday to just look into how buddysync did what I want anyway, maybe see if I can come up with something myself. Been wanting to try my hand at lua and wow addons so might be a good place to start.

Yeah. I like to avoid addons concerning mail for the most part.
Blizzards mail system is touchy enough, and they mostly offer features I will never use.

When BuddySync was developed it was handy to just let it utilise the existing database of alts on the realm and allow auto complete to work. Saving me some friend slots in the process.

No biggie if ALS adds this feature or not. But it never hurts to ask.

Not sure if it fits in with the feature set you wish to adhere to for Auldlangsyne. But I would love to see it do something like BuddySync did back when it was developed. Auto complete alt names in mail window.

It doesn't add your alts to your friends list, thereby saving a few precious slots for actual friends. But allowed auto complete of their names to work in the mail window.
