ItemValue_DrDamage doesn't work anymore lately, it gives me the error:

[2007/09/17 10:05:34-2604-x1]: ItemValue_DrDamage-1.2.0\CasterSet.lua:156: attempt to index field 'values' (a nil value)

ItemValue itself seems to work fine.

Anyone has the same problem or knows how to fix it?

There is CCBreakWarner. Works for all classes and gives configurable acoustic warnings when the CC breaks. Look at:

    http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7200-CCBreakWarner.html

I use it together Classtimer, which provides me with a timer and with CCBreaker (here on WowAce), which names and shames who the heck broke the shackle again. :)

I've used GameTooltip in my first approach to scan if an item is equipable or not, so it seams HealPoints tries to scan this tooltip and somehow generates this error. Now that I'm using Gratuity the errors shouldn't come up again.

It works perfectly now. And the search seems to be much faster too :)

The Best Items Feature with Ludwig is just awesome!

But there seem to be an interference with a third addon.
I also use HealPoints (newest Version from CurseGaming). As long as HealPoints is installed, i get hundreds of errors like the following when using the "Best Items" feature. The outcome is still alright though. Healpoints by itself still works perfectly, it only happens with "Best Items". I seems with Ludwig the GetItemInfo syntax changed. Any ideas why this happens?

It is definitely a startup problem.

luckily outfitter has a variable set when it is so i'm using that as well and it appears to be working ok now.

Thanks for the quick fix :)

    Update:

If i disable all rules which use "outfit()", do a reloadui and THEN enable them all again, everything works perfectly. It is definitely a startup problem.

It is a problem with ArkInventory. Outfitter did not change the last two month and this error occurred just after updating to ArkInventory 2.09 (r47175)

It only happens when you have rules which use "outfit()". I guess somehow ArkInventory is calling routines in Outfitter too early (Outfitter not completely initialized), probably by some event, while parsing the rules.

Outfitter is completely broken with this error. You can't switch outfits anymore and the outfitter window is empty. When i just disable all ArkInventory rules which use "outfit()" and do a reloadui Outfitter works perfectly again.

Hey guys, question. I understand the concept behind DrDamage, it's a very nice addon. But, is there a way to see your Avg, Min, etc, all the DrDamage stats when wearing items you don't own? It shows them for all the items I'm wearing and updates when I receive buffs etc, but it would seem to me to be a lot more useful if I could see how an item upgrade would effect my DPS. Thanks.

Check out ItemValue/ItemValue_DrDamage. That will display a single number (avg. damage for a specified spell) and a difference value to your equipped gear right in the tooltip. (DrDamage support doesn't work for healers/melee, though).

I know this has been discussed before.

There are known problems with item linking when you use GEM (Guild Event Manager) alongside Prat and try to link in custom chat channels which are used by GEM. The links get garbled.

The problem arises from both Prat and GEM both doing 'incompatible' chat replacements.

    ... bla bla bla ...

Have you tried just disabling the ChatLinks module?

    Yes i did, didn't help.

As there is no real developer for GEM, there's not much that can be done. Unless you can find someone willing to spend the time on getting GEM and Prat to coexist, you may need to choose another addon for chat.

Yes, i already looked for replacements and found PhanxChat and CustomChatTimestamps (both on WoWI). They are rather simple compared to Prat, but together they cover most of the functionality i used. PhanxChat is even Ace2.

    Thanks anyways :)

As far as i know there is a library now (PratPlugin), that other addons like GEM could use to achieve compatibility.

The problem is, development of GEM is stalling for a long time now. After TBC came out the authors said they will rewrite it using Ace2, but 8 months later there is no beta, not even an ETA.

I don't want to ditch Prat, i really like it, but i am fed up with links not working and i am dependent on those custom channels and GEM.

Now there was an option in rather old versions of Prat called "Do the actual chat replacement". When this option was disabled, most of the more advanced modules of Prat turned blue and stopped doing their stuff, but linking worked.

As i didn't use much of the advanced stuff i could live with that. But that option in Prat vanished at some time.

Could it be possible to put this option back again? Probably under another name like 'lite mode' or 'GEM compatibility mode'?

Btw, the translation string "Do the actual chat replacement" is still there in recent versions of Prat :).

Bank and bags are almost full and i used three outfit rules with multiple or's (for example outfit(Resist Fire) or outfit(Resist Shadow) or outfit(Resist Frost) or outfit(Resist Arcane) or outfit(Resist Nature), wild cards don't work with outfit())

    try using

outfit(Resist Fire, Resist Shadow, Resist Frost, Resist Arcane, Resist Nature )

as then it becomes a single call into outfitter for the list of outfits for an item and not 5 separate calls (for items not in an outfit), should decrease timewise by about 4/5ths.

That improved performance a lot, thanks. This should be added to the rule example page. :)

hate to play devils advocate but there is... 5 or 6 addons that do something along the lines of chronometer and at least one other one that I can think of that tracks friendly CC's (you just to set it up manually).

oh and add hour glass to that list I gave you.

I dont know if it tracks friendly CC but it does go off the combat log.

Which one tracks friendly CC's? I tried several and even created a thread asking about it, but noone could come up with anything.

I use a macro to shackle, shackle target gets focused.
Class Timer on focus tracks the shackle nicely for me.

I always had performance problems with rules who use outfit(). When the bank was open putting an item in or out of the bank would take 5 seconds or sometimes even more.

I now converted to rules who use tooltip() (for example tooltip(%+%d+ %a+ resist), tooltip(Increases damage), tooltip(Increases healing)).

Now putting items in/out of bank is only around a second.

Still, i would like to use the outfit() rules if performance would be better. I use Outfitter. Is the call into Outfitter if the item belongs to a specific outfit taking so long?
