    posted a message on Cartographer_Quests Bug
    I've found a problem in Cartographer_Quests while doing the new Dustwallow Marsh quests. For some quest givers, it records additional quests that aren't there. These false quests appear as mere numbers, such as "1" or "60", when we right-click the exclamation mark. Also, they don't have a submenu, or rather, and empty submenu, so it's not possible to delete them. As a result, the yellow exclamation mark stays in the map, even if we have completed all the quests available for that quest giver.

    Here's an example of how these fake quests end up recorded in the saved variables file:

    [23096974] = {
    	["title"] = "Sergeant Lukas",
    	["icon"] = "Quest",
    	["info"] = "Quests:\n1\nRaptor Captor\n37\nPrisoners of the Grimtotems\nUnleash the Raptors",
    	["quests"] = {
    		"Unleash the Raptors", -- [1]
    		["Raptor Captor"] = 37,
    		[37] = 1,
    		["Prisoners of the Grimtotems"] = 37,
    		["Unleash the Raptors"] = 37,
    	},
    	["version"] = 4,
    },

    I guess this is due to some change Blizzard implemented in whatever is the way quest names are recorded. So, it would be interesting to see Cartographer_Quests get a way to cleanup these wrong entries before writing them down, as well as providing us a way to manually delete in game any such case that remains.

    PS.: If this isn't the correct place to post this bug report, please point me to correct one. Thanks!

    Huh. I used to get those too. Have you tried it recently? There were several performance fixes to it a little while ago (done by someone else) that seem to have eliminated that for me. TSI is rather aggressive with the scanning/memory use though... this is something I intend to fix in a ground up rewrite, but that probably won't happen until I'm out of class for this semester.

    Last time I tried was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Are these performance updates newer than that?

    Once I finish ironing out some bugs with TradeskillInfo that I unwittingly created by adding a ton of recipes to it, I'm planning on adding a plugin to TSI (which mostly works with Skillet already) that will have a small window that lists only unknown trade skill recipes (per char), and where to obtain them (even if you have to farm it).

    This would be cool, except for the fact that I have a problem with TSI in that whenever I have it enabled I get lots of "pauses" while I play. Roughly a 0.5 to 1 sec halting of my WoW client every 5 seconds. :(

    So, right now I have to use RecipeBook to get features similar to those provided by TSI.

    I haven't tested this yet, so I have some questions that might get answered by just trying it. However, I'm afraid of breaking things, so here they go. :)

    a) Does Skillet work well with EnchantingSell? I have the (stable, not files.wowace.com) version of EnchantingSell installed because I just love having the list of unlearned enchants shown. Alternatively, maybe it would be interesting to add this "missing recipes" feature to Skillet itself. What do you think?

    b) Do you plan adding other optional "quantity" parameters besides inventory and inventory+bank? I remember other addons that can/could show up to five meaningful values:

    inventory;
    inventory + vendor (for purchasable reagents);
    inventory + bank;
    inventory + bank + vendor;
    inventory + bank + vendor + alts (including inventory and bank from all your alts).

    It could show this with "intelligent hiding". For example, [10] if you have everything with yourself, or [10/15] if everything is in your own inventory+bank, or [10/15/16/20] or [10/15/16/20/35]. Very useful for planning long crafting sessions.

    c) Is there a way to hide grays in general while allowing some to appear? This would be a huge improvement for a 375 tailor, since at this point all basic reagents are gray quality, meaning we have to enable and disable grays constantly or deal with browsing the huge list the whole time.

    If this isn't available yet, maybe a simple way to implement it would be a "favorite" box in each recipe. If it's checked, that recipe always appear, no matter how you set your color filtering. It shouldn't apply to text searches, of course. What do you think?

    d) Last: two panels are very useful, but many times it can be a little too much. Do you plan, or would you be interested in, adding an alternative, single panel/single craft view? Similar to the standard Blizzard one, only improved? It would be very nice to be able to switch between the two modes by just clicking a button in the frame itself.

    The above are what my dream tradeskill window would provide. It would be cool if Skillet turned out to be that dream's realization. :)

    Try: Prat -> Enabled Modules -> Chatlinks -> tick "Chatlink"

    Thank you very much! I had no idea ChatLink and ChatMOD were the same thing. Next time I should try things around before asking. :P

    posted a message on Prat 2.0 Chat Mod Framework (Official Thread)
    A small feature request.

    My guild has recently "split" (only for purposes of management) into two sister guilds, one for casual players and another, smaller, for hardcore raiders, and we set a shared channel as our main mean of communication, not using the two guild channels anymore. Now, however, we've found that Blizzard doesn't allow links on such shared channels, and some guild members started using the ChatMOD addon, which adds support for links in shared channels provided both sides are using it. Those who don't just see a long code between "{}" characters, with the item name somewhere inside it.

    Would it then be possible to add ChatMOD-compatible linking support to Prat, so that we Prat users can see and link items in shared channels with ChatMOD users?

    Thanks!

    EDIT: Here's a real world example of a ChatMOD link I've just seen transmitted in our shared channel:

    posted a message on Scrooge vs. LibRock-1.0
    I don't want to start (or restart) a flame war, but I must ask ckknight to please, please take more care with what you're doing with LibRock-1.0.

    I don't use Scrooge and I don't care about Scrooge. But now, due to the addon war being waged between Shadowed and ckknight, whenever I try installing a new version of LibRock-1.0 from files.wowace.com (again: without having Scrooge installed!), my entire UI crashes. PitBull disappears, FuBar doesn't load, BugGrabber (in chat mode only) gets filled with tons and tons of errors, my minimap gets more than 40 overlapped buttons, and so on and so forth. The only solution is to downgrade LibRock-1.0 from any subsequent version all the way back to r49742! Then everything just starts working again.

    Why break LibRock-1.0 in such a way? Only because some people might install Scrooge to not see a "Donate" button they would not click or use anyway, be it shown or not? It makes no sense.

    Please, revert LibRock-1.0 to r49742, start improving it from there, ignore Scrooge exists, and be done with it. Those who don't want to donate won't anyway, no matter whether they see the button or not.

    Please, focus on what actually matters. This is all I am, and most surely others are, asking.

    Just click the "Show all" link at the table's top right. ;)

    The new page is awesome. I'm loving it! But I have two requests:

    a) Could you please revert the way already clicked links behave? Until two days ago (I think), an already clicked link (or downloaded file) was colored in purple, making it easy to distinguish it from the non-clicked (blue) links. Now they remain blue all the time, removing that nice visual feedback.

    b) Could you add a basic cookie functionality in the JavaScript itself so that it remembers the last showing/ordering option I used?

    For example, I like to see the list multi-page ordered decrescently by Revision, but anytime I reload the page it's multi-page ordered crescently by Name. And others have mentioned how they would like to still see it as a single page without the need to click the "Show All" option every time. A cookie could solve this perfectly.

    Thanks!

    posted a message on Gladiator and Tattle setup
    I'm not sure this is the correct place to ask for this, but I didn't find a Gladiator or Tattle official thread. So, here it goes.

    I run WoW on Linux, and use the provided "tattlelod.sh" script to disembed all the Gladiator_* files. However, it seems the script is a little out of date, for I get this error message when running it, as well having the "Gladiator_EU24" folder still intact inside Tattle's folder thus having to move it by hand:

    mv: impossible to do stat in 'Gladiator_US14': File or directory doesn't exist

    By the way: I noticed that Tattle.TOC still calls the individual library LUAs directly. It would be better for WAU users (not my case) if it instead called "embeds.xml". What do you think?

    Hi! Today I was looking at the files in some addons and noticed that Waterfall-1.0's TOC calls individual Ace2 library LUAs directly. It would be interesting, for those of us who use WAU (not my case though) if this were replaced by a single call to "embeds.xml", as other addons do. What do you think?

    posted a message on ItemBonusLib, an Ace2 version of BonusScanner
    Hi! I noticed a small problem in the TOC. The line:

    ## OptionalDeps: Ace2, Gratuity, Deformat

    Should actually read:

    ## OptionalDeps: Ace2, GratuityLib, Deformat

    By the way, it would be interesting, IMHO, to replacing the calls to individual library LUAs in the TOC by a single call to "embeds.xml", as other addons are doing. Those who use WAU (not my case) would surely benefit.

    You probably have the Cartographer_Hotspot plugin installed. It's an alternative minimap icon with advanced features. Just disable it.
