posted a message on Idea for an Addon "Reminder"
I'm a very forgetful person, and I'd love to have an addon to help me remember things. Especially for raiding, etc. What I have in mind is an addon that would print out "Reminders" when certain events happen. For example, after I cast Blessing of Protection on some hapless mage or if the mage dies, a reminder appears to "Rebuff [Mage's Name]!" Or when I enter any of the major cities, a reminder could pop up listing how much reagents, water and remaining durability I have.

Would an addon like this be doable? How complex would such an addon be?

Guess I need to figure out how to tweak Nurfed frames. /sigh I can't even figure out how you skinned the cast bar.

I removed the border of Bongos' casting bar.

I had absolutely no knowledge of lua or editing Nurfed frames when I made my little layout, just a lot of trial and error. :)

Anduen, what unit frames are you using?

Nurfed. It's a custom layout a made. Still tweaking certain bits, once I revise the party pet frames I'll post a shot of my UI in action while grouped. Pretty much everything in my UI is visible in the screenshot I posted, the only thing I can thing of that may not be clear is the position of the buffs. Buffs run down the left of the screen and the debuffs run across the top. Also, the party and focus windows are just above the actionbars.

Thanks for the comments, glad you like it :D

Anduen btw, what is the icons in top left corner?

Buffalo, it allows buffs/debuffs to be scaled individually. I like my debuffs be absurdly large so I don't miss them.

From sometime during the summer I think, back when I was raiding. I don't miss that cockpit UI, lol. Thank god I only have one chat window to contend with now. ;P

    Nice setup!

Really good job Anduen, the best UI I've seen for a while =)

    Thanks! : )

    Bartender3
    Buffalo
Clearfont (My poor, poor eyes can't read the normal wow font)
    ClosetGnome
    Cooldown Timers 2
    CooldownCount
    DeuceCommander
    DreamBuff
DreamChat (To seperate whispers without taking up all the space of a normal chat window)
    eePanels
    Grid
    GridSideIndicators
    GridStatusHealer
    MobHealth3
    MonkeyLibrary
    MonkeyQuest
Nurfed UI Suite - (Unit Frames)
    Scrolling Combat Text
    Simple Chat Mods
    Simple Minimap
    The Big Picture
    TinyTip
    TinyTipExtras
    XPBarNone

And until I find good replacements, I'm using Bongos for the stats and casting bar. Also, I think I may replace ClosetGnome with another similar addon, sometime it seems a bit screwy. I still haven't sorted out the party pet frames in a way I really like, but the party frames themselves are set. But I'm still torn over whether I should eliminate my party frames entirely and rely solely on Grid

    Party/Focus frame:

Hmm, I wonder if adjusting the number of lines displayed per chat window by the volume of people talking would work? A silent channel would be 1 or maybe even 0 lines displayed, while a busy /guild discussion would automatically cause the guildchat frame to expand accordingly.

    read post #1:

The size and spacing of the boxes will be scalable, and obviously you can drag the entire frame to wherever you want. Also you can filter out specific subgroups/, and optionally also display the first letters of each unit name (due to the limited size a max of one or two). Possible future features: unit subgroups sorted horizontally instead of vertically, pet support,...

Whoops, sorry Maia. Didn't even realize the first post had been updated. Sounds good.

The corner boxes seem a bit too small currently, though I'll have to wait until I have a chance to use it to decide for sure. This addon looks very promising Maia. :)

I'm actually not a big fan of taking names away from raid frames. I know the people I raid with well. I know which  warlocks pop Invuln pots when they get aggro, which rogues always carry healing pots and which don't, etc all of which factors into who I wind up healing. But overall I think the concept of this addon is fantastic. This is almost exactly the sort of thing I've been wanting.

Anyways, here's my idea for a possible sort option for classes attached below. An alternative to having to save room on your screen for 8 rows and 8 or more columns when sorting by classes.

Any plans to update CC_RangeCheck to Ace2 Worf? I can't live without it and haven't found anything that can replace its functionality. :)
