    Try Langoustine.

Ty, some errors with EnGB according to comments. In the meanwhile I've already setup Pitbull4 to show MT frames and targets. =)

Rofl, do we have to manually add all the wowace addons to the non-wowace list as curse addons now?
Or are you compiling a list for WA addons convertion to Curse SourceForge project names?

Please correct me if I've missunderstood anything about how the WA svn site shutdown is effecting updaters/downloads.

Since when are HoT Ticks which cause overheal not shown?

    Sucks :o

Doxx is correct, how ever addons implemented a guesstimate on the OH for tics when a targets health was at 100%. It's better not to do it in pure resources and cpu cycle demand from addons either way.

    Hi,

Recently I had some dramatic fps decreaes during bossfights e.g. Fathom Lord Karathress, from 15-20 -> 1-4 fps.

I searched a lot heared that one possible source of the problem might be the module pitbull_aura.

    1.
Is it enough if I disable the module @ charakter screen and try it again, or have I to disable aura completly @ pitbull?

    2.
I also heared @ ej that there is a alternative aura mod (pitbull_altaura).
Is it made for pb 2.0 (rock version) and could it be that its solving the problem?
(because some of the posts where really "old")

    All tips/hints are appreciated

    Atleast ;), I realy love pitbull I don?t wanna miss it anymore -> keep on rock?ing ;)

Check my previous post on this page, and there are info to be found in the last two pages. Also yes AltAura does work but it's a bit buggy, but it does solve the issue. It seems it's more like a module loading or modules overlapping something causing it.

just wanted to post my observation from yesterday. i installed and ran Perl_Classic unitframes instead of pitbull and I picked up a good 7-8FPS in shattrath city, and all the lag i've experienced in raiding (10&25mans) is totally gone.

i never had a problem wtih lag or fps with pitbull until 2.3 patch, and i've been steadily disabling/testing mods that i think might cause lag in raids.

i don't show any raid frames (i dont even install the pitbull raid or mt frames folders) since i'm a warr and really only need to see target, tot and player/party frames.

the lag i was experiencing in raids was huge and made the game almost unplayable. my fps would drop to 20-30 (which is normally fine) in combat, and i'd get all kinds of "jerky" behavior (not fps-related) from somewhere. disabling pitbull and using perl_classic fixed this jerky behavior, and my fps has gone up to normal levels.

here are the modules of pitbull i was using:

    PitBull
    PitBull_Aura
    PitBull_Banzai
    PitBull_BarFader
    PitBull_HealthBar
    PitBull_HideBlizzard
    PitBull_Highlight
    PitBull_LeaderIcon
    PitBull_MasterLooterIcon
    PitBull_Portrait
    PitBull_PowerBar
    PitBull_PvPIcon
    PitBull_RaidTargetIcon

    thanks for reading.

This is going to sound really odd, after loading up with 0 cache history, only pitbull in the addon dir and a fresh WTF it did the same. So then I thought to my self maybe there is a module interfering with Aura. So I started disabling them all, then enabling them one by one and the slowdown to 8-12fps hasn't happend since (Did loads of tests in AV to check for the slow down and BT tonight). So it would seem something is up with how Pitbull loads its modules.. Thats all I can think of for now. Let me know if it works.

alt_aura is the "fix" for this and it was updated 8 hours ago from not being updated 30+ days. it's a bit buggy sometimes but it used to work fine for this issue.
I had this problem before "Pitbull 2.0" then now with patch 2.3 it has returned, sadly.

Having Huge performance issues again with the aura modules of Pitbull since 2.3. Only way to get around is it seems to use debuff+buff filtering. Anyone else notice this after 2.3? I used to have problems before PitBull became 2.0. but after it's been very small impact of the FPS 3-8 when raiding and not using filtering until now in 2.3.
So is there another solution then debuff/buff filtering? Because alt_aura isn't being updated anymore it seems.

You can try enabling debuff and buff filter in Pitbull on all frames. Some people seem to have problems with the Aura Module of Pitbull, and it's much worse now in 2.3 again.

I am having huge performance loss if I use Parot, FPS dips down to 10 a lot. Reminds me of the FPS problem Pitbull was having. With SCT it's no problem at all. Else I really liked Parot :)

No, alt aura doesn't work currently.

    http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=8029.40

I have done some testing and there is no hiccup with 20+ debuffs so far, this is just by doing AV though. I'll probably find out later tonight when we are raiding. CKknight might have implemented alt-aura directly into pitbull in the 2.0 release hence why I've seen no slowdown in AV so far. Overall Performance seems better as well.

Any changes made to the combat fader in any frame needs reload ui to activate though, bug? Also I got a bunch of numeric errors where it expected boolean when I disabled the interactive line module I think, reloading ui fixed it.

I haven't had a chance to report about your altaura directly too you but I did tell ckknight mid august when you went on vaccation that this does in indeed fix the slowdown with the auras. I got the slowdown when my target was the only frame showing debuffs even. Tried from 40 to 16 but it spiked badly, with this it does fix it.
If you want to know my hardware as reference just PM me and I'll PM you back the details. I've not had a chance to post yet because there has been some sort of problem activating my account.
