    hello,

I've just downloaded AI and at the moment I am very happy with it. theres just one thing I'm not sure about... is there any possibility to share the settings between my characters? if not... does simple lua-copying works?

    thanks for info

    Hi there,

I have a question, and excuse me for not having the nerves to search all 40 pages for an answer...

I currently have Engbags (very long not-updated merge from enginventory and engbank, but... it works ^^) as an inventory-addon, but the memoryusage seems to be very high, I have around 5 MB only from engbags, even if it is not visible and I've startet WoW right at that moment. I knew Arkinventory from the beginning, I've downloaded the first revision at that time... but it was very very buggy then, so I came back to engbags. But from a guildmate I now heard, that Arkinventory is really really great today, and while I'm actually trying to lower my memoryusage and as a result hopefully increasing my framerate, it would be nice to know, how much average memory usage arkinventory has... is somebody here who can tell me? :)

    thanks in advice

    posted a message on AlchCheck
    Hello everyone,

First, I got not a single result while searching for "alchcheck", and second I hope this is the right place to post.

    ===

I'm responsible in my guild for the dkp-system. Our Raidleader has just added new rules, so that everybody who is not taking pots and buffood on bossfights, will get some "adjustements" on his dkp.

So I searched a little bit and found the Addon "AlchCheck", what just looked like to be the thing I wanted. But the apprehension of our raidleader was, that our members would get behind the method we are checking pots and food and would try to avoid it by taking the cheap pots, which are no improvements for the raid.

So I edited the lua and deleted the lines with all the "lowlevel" pots, so it is only checking for "good" pots. Next thing I did, I edited the code, so that the output is not in party/raidchannel but in an selfcreated channel. I also translated the relevant strings in the locale-deDE.lua so that there are no complications if someone is running this addon with an german client.

Until this point it works just like I want it to.

The problem what I have now is the food. Every single food gives the buff "Well Fed", even if it is a level-5-or-sth-buff with +2 stam/spirit. My idea now was, that in some way the tooltip of this Well-Fed-Buff is scanned for the numbers 20, 23, 30 and 44, because this are the most common raid-food we use. For example 20 Agility/Strength/stamina, 30 Stamina, 23 Spelldmg and 44 Healing.

I found the Library Gratuity-2.0 (Tooltip scanning library), I think this is the thing I'm searching for. By the help of a friend I've added the path into the AlchCheck.toc and the Lib itself into the Libs-Subfolder inside the Alchcheck-addon-folder. I also added the Line local GT = AceLibrary("Gratuity-2.0") into the alchcheck.lua, so I can call the funcions of the lib. But this is the point where the knowledge of my friend an mine stops... and I need your help :)

The only reasonable point in the code where the addon is checking the buffood is this:

    135		if temp_list[6]==nil then
    136 for q,w in pairs(AlchFood) do
    137		if cur_buff==w then temp_list[6],_,_,_,_,temp_list[7]=UnitBuff(indx,b)
    138 end end end

So if there is anyone (maybe the author him/herself?) who can help me with coding this so the function is not checking the buffname only but the tooltip for the strings 20, 23, 30 and 44, I would owe you a lot :D

Thanks a lot in advise (and excuse my bad english, I am german),

There's only one thing that reliably works 100% of the time to "fix" that as I've found out.

It probably gives a hint to where the problem lies,
but I have my plate full with debugging a couple of my guild mods on 2.3.

What you can do to "fix" it for the current session is
    (1) drag the lootwindow to the top-leftmost corner of the screen,
    (2) loot to close it.

Subsequent loot will have a normal sized border.

    worked f?r me. but i don't think, that that's the final solution...^^

short question about pet damage... i see at the report both the hunter and its pet... a few pages before i read that the pet is already merged to the hunter, but the pet is also shown on an extra row. is that correct or is that just a presumption?

my rev i am using is r43313.

    sorry for bad english :-/

posted a message on Chronometer (Ace2'ed AceTimer)
    hi,

i was wodering if there is a setting for crippling poison / cp II for rogues... so i just had a look into the rogue.lua.

so there's a line for every buff/debuff a rouge can do, but all the non-instant-poisons are missing.

    e.g.: self:AddTimer(self.SPELL, BS["Blind"], 10, 1,0,0)
so now i thougth maybe i can add the poisons for myself, but unfortunately I don't get the meaning of the last three numbers. the first is the duration of the debuff, of course, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th I dont understand, theres no real sense for me (of course there is one, but i dont get it ^.^)

so there's my request: can you add the poison timers for rogues into this brilliant addon? i think mind-numbering, crippling and deadly poison are the relevant's. would be very nice :D

    thanks in advance :)

posted a message on move or hide the PvP-Frame
    Hi,

i am searching for an addon, which moves the pvp-frame. the thing i mean is the, e.g., indicator, who shows if horde or alliance is controlling the bone waters in terokkar. i moved my partyframes up to the top and this indicator is in the middle of them... not good... :|

if someone knows something for moving or hiding this, please let me know :)

    thanks,

nice little addon... just one problem (as postet quite before):

i can't move the bar. no comment in the /gb-comment-list, no option in the right-klick-menu, no alt-leftklick-drag. how do i move it? in the middle of the screen it is a little bit annoying. ~.~

    thanks for advice,
    dmw

    woohw, sounds incredible!

can't wait to test it on weekend, I just have a few questions.

    - im playing a mage as my actual main and a lock as my if-home-server-is-down-twink. till now i just used necrosis and cryolysis (hope i spelled them right) for each char. im accustomed that all ace addons just use the same setting for every character. profiles or so doesn't work. it's nice if you have some twinks, because it is setted up quickly, but it would be annoying for having the same settings for henge with both a mage and a warlock.
so, i read at the first post sth. about "modules". where's the difference between modules and profiles, and how does it work?
    - from cryolysis im accustomed to make water with a right klick, drink it with left and trade 20 piece of it per middle-klick. is it possible to set henge up in a way that it works in this way too?
    - are submenus (like for portals oder summon pet) possible?

well, that's for now. i definately give it a try, even if not anything works like i want it to. thanks for this great thing =)

well, a simple relogg doesn't worked for me... :(

if deleting the SVs is the only way... i'll do so. i would rather do all the settings new than have this annoying bar...
