    Since the rename the mod doesn't load it's settings anymore on relogging or reloading.

    Also, the playernamecolor has never worked for me, neither the altlinking. No errors, just doesn't do anything at all.

    Prat was my main culprit, though I was just about to exchange it for chatterbox to test.
    I also got umm... well, SimpleBossWhisperer, but wasn't in a bossfight, CraftyGnome and Auctioneer got auto-reply features too but the incoming whisper was neither of those queries.

    Oh, then I suspect I had a bug there, btw.
    I had it a few times (can't reproduce it when trying to, oddly) that I had the popup for a few seconds (I'd guess 15s, not sure) when I GET a whisper.
    Found a screeny:

    See how the popup is there despite the last whisper being incoming and there not being an open chatline.

    Maybe it's some other mod interferring, ofc.
    Last thing I'd wish for would be longer save-time, then. HeyFu has 1 week, I kinda like that for officer purposes :X

    Though I guess I could hack the LUA file ;)

    It's not a new chatwindow (there's mods for that, anyways). It pops up a "reminder" of what was the last X lines in the conversation.

    I quite like it, like HeyFu with an additional reminder to stay level in tons of simultaneous whisper-conversations.

    One thing I dislike after testing though: The frame ain't clickthrough.
    If I could change the alpha + have it clickthrough when locked, it'd rock. Otherwise I run into positioning issues.
    And ideally allow to customize the "fade-time" after you get an incoming whisper to pop the frame up, it seems to stay ~15 seconds or so, way too long for my liking, 2 seconds or so would be easily enough :)

    This sounds like the definite HeyFu upgrade! \o/

    Testing it out in a few ;)

      I'd generally agree with this until Blizz designed encounters with 10min hard enrage timers with threat meters in mind. Which really throws a crank into things, it can be done it's just much more difficult.

    Yeah, but the point would be that DPSer is so easy to play compared ot Tank/Healer that having to internally calculate your Threat from your damage done versus the tank (and you should know your tank) is the only thing putting some brainpower in to the fight.

    Rolling your head over the keyboard with half the keys bound to Attack #1 and the other half to Attack #2 is hardly something of a big feat.

    There is also this concerning XLootgroup replacement

    http://www.tekkub.net/addons/teksLoot

    My main thing I need to replace (I couldn't care less about the rollframes or the actual lootwindow) is the MasterLooter compartment of XLoot. Truth to be told it's the actual reason I use/love XLoot so much.

    Is there any other mod which can do that?

    posted a message on Grid - How do you use Grid?
    First of all you have to remember Grid is not a healbot replacement, it's a replacement for raidframes, ala SRaidFrames or PerfectRaid.

    It can double as a healbot (and it's superior then, combining both into one) if you add a clickcasting addon like Clique.

    Personally I see the following upsides to this:
    • Grid is tiny. There's no other way to put just that much information into such a tiny screenarea. Saving you loooooots of screen estate.
    • Grid + Clique is more adaptable, it can be used to any spell - not just healing.
    • Grid is more customizable. You can define your own markers and mark-ups.

    It ain't perfect - I have mine at 140% scale, which makes it very large but due to the placement in my UI it makes it easy to see someone dying without "having to look at the frame".
    I <3 that, as it allows me to actually watch the fight and help interrupting and snaring as a healer, still easily noticing when some DPSer was hit by damage. Without needing a specialized addon, as Grid is my raidframes, I don't use others anymore.

    Grid also got the layout autoswitcher which is just awesome to make the mod more adaptable, and the healcomm to see who's healing what - which is preferable to the whack-a-mole style healing Healbot seems to support.
    Comparatively, Healbot focuses on healing raid-damage fast, Grid focuses on covering all damage dealt. Very nice with multiple CoH healers. :)

    As for setups, these are my Clique setups:

    Shaman
    Ctrl+Left := Chain Heal Rank 4
    Ctrl+Right := Maxrank Lesser Healing Wave
    Alt+Left := Cure Poison
    Alt+Right := Cure Disease

    Paladin
    Ctrl+Left := Maxrank Holy Light
    Ctrl+Right := Maxrank Flash of Light
    Alt+Left := Cleanse
    Alt+Right := Blessing of Protection

    Works perfect ;)

    Yeah, we got frequent problems too.

    But here's how I see things:
    • First of all, antiarc is hardly bound by any rules. He probably had that new stuff lieing around for a while, waiting for a chance to put it in. Needing to completely rewrite the mod for 2.4 anyways is that chance.
    • This is wowace.com - it says specifically that anything you get here is super-bleeding-edge. If it makes your computer hardlock and you need to reinstall: Tough luck, you've been warned about it. It's just the nature of stuff being pulled from a SVN server that you're directly in the developing process, things are broken, often, frequently, on purpose just to see how the error looks.
    • Last but most importantly: There was raiding pre-KTM. It worked ;)

    posted a message on Assessment - Official Thread
    Yep - plus even if Roartindon couldn't continue it there'd be a good chance someone would take up the work or use the "concept" of Assessment for enhancing another mod or making a new one.

    Though, oddly, my main reason to <3 Assessment is for the threat-compartment. For the reason that even after hours of trying, Omen2 (and neither did Omen 1) looks remotely "right".

    It's bars look jumbled, jumpy, the test scales very oddly and is either too large or illegible, and and and. The odd thing really is, with the same fonts and bartextures I used in Assessment. However in Assa, it looks super-clean.
    I can't figure out why that different exists, still comes down to longing for Assa's threat-display :)

    I need a 2.4 Assessment. Anyone know whether it could be "easy" to revive? :(

    I don't like Recount's insane memory/cpu usage or Violation's super-slimness. Assessment is/was awesome :X

    You don't need to sync anymore - like Ammo said there is no longer a range-restriction or data/second restriction on the log.

    Provided the addon works like it should, it can't "miss" data.

    posted a message on Question about jumpy map-behaviour
    Since 2.4, I again constantly get my map jumping back to the current zone. (extremely annoying, but rarely the fault of the mapaddon)

    Is there, however, any "easy" way to check which addon is causing those switches? I got so many addons searching it manually would be pain, maybe some script-command or something?
