    posted a message on Track Gold Traded with players
    I want to make an addon that will allow a user to set a timer, and while that timer is running it will track the amount of all gold collected by all users, and then have a "post" button where it will list in trade in order highest to lowest in raid chat. Their will be on the addon a window that tracks this without having to post it to raid chat. Once the timer runs out the user can click a button called "announce winner". IT will announce who donated the most amount of gold the amount the donated, and then it will say "and they win" then it will say "The total amount of all gold collected running the timer" The user should also be able to edit each entry as well.

    Example how this will work:
    1. I invite all people who want to play to raid. I will start the timer, each person who plays can keep running up to me and give me any amount of gold, The addon will track each transaction and keep a separate total for each user, and a total gold collected.

    player 1 trades 10g
    player 2 trades 100g
    player 1 trades 10g again
    player 3 trades 80g

    so here is the transactions will say that was done
    when i click announce winner it will say

    player 2 with a total of 100g given wins 200g

    cause they gave 100g and the total pot was 200g

    also be a current winner button that will announce in chat who is leading.

    example

    playe2 100g
    player 3 80g
    player 1 20g

    in descending order..

    i also want an option that will allow me to manually add players in that donate gold.
    as well have an other option box that lets me set a % payout of total pot to winner.

    example say the total pot is 100, and i set the payout to 50%, then the winner would only get 50g
    ... and that amount would be posted as won but the full amount collected still be posted.
    IF you can help, or have any questions please ask. just wanna make a fun game for my guild to play.

    Just simply make one that your could can use.. Only the people in your guild that has the add-one would see the ready check.. The ready check wouldnt be called by typing / what ever. But just having it scan the chat and when it sees the word "ready?" or "ready" ect. ide use sevreal varients. The pop up would just come up.. (your addon) and you could juse click "yes""no" or "maybe" and what ever your answer was it would just type it in chat..

    not sure if your allowed to do this or if it will even work, but
    you need to go in and edit blizzards Blizzard_raidui.xml file

    ull see a section in this

    <Button name="ReadyCheckFrameYesButton" inherits="UIPanelButtonTemplate" text="YES">
    				<Size>
    					<AbsDimension x="109" y="24"/>
    				</Size>
    				<Anchors>
    					<Anchor point="BOTTOMLEFT">
    						<Offset>
    							<AbsDimension x="55" y="18"/>
    						</Offset>
    					</Anchor>
    				</Anchors>
    				<Scripts>
    					<OnClick>
    						ConfirmReadyCheck(1);
    						ReadyCheckFrame:Hide();
    					</OnClick>
    				</Scripts>

    			</Button>
    			<Button name="ReadyCheckFrameNoButton" inherits="UIPanelButtonTemplate" text="NO">
    				<Size>
    					<AbsDimension x="109" y="24"/>
    				</Size>

    id try adding

    <Button name="ReadyCheckFrameYesButton" inherits="UIPanelButtonTemplate" text="Maybe">
    				<Size>
    					<AbsDimension x="109" y="24"/>
    				</Size>
    				<Anchors>
    					<Anchor point="BOTTOMLEFT">
    						<Offset>
    							<AbsDimension x="55" y="18"/>
    						</Offset>
    					</Anchor>
    				</Anchors>
    				<Scripts>
    					<OnClick>
    						ConfirmReadyCheck(1);
    						ReadyCheckFrame:Hide();

    					</OnClick></script></size>

    after you see the yes part.. Ull just have to tweak where the button appears.
    but like i said, dont know if your allowed to change blizzards actual code.

    I suggest maybe, program a mod where anytime saomeone says "ready?" then anyone with the addon, will see a "yes""no" or "maybe" box pop up, and depending on what they click, then the answer is displayed back in the chat...

    Joke Wize would be kind of funny.. More funny, if the normal yes or no button worked as planned.. but if you clciked the maybe button it gave you a pop up message like "Not a Valid Answer MOran, Go back to school, get sure of yourself, and then come back and click yes."

    or "WTF Not an other noob." or just random sayins each time.

    yea ty.. that will work for now... not as fast as just having it all in game.. maybe,, if im gonna use it this way.. I can get a mod, where i can right click on a char target, or their chat,, that would let me copy char name.. then i could just tab out, go to that webstie, and paste thier name into the search..

    ty though it is the kind of data im looking for.. Also has a fast and easy way to see what char went to what guild.

    Your reading way to much into this.. I like to follow up on past members, as the venture out.. Wish them good luck. See if they need any extra Items, to clear out the huge amount of items that stock pile in the guild banks. Plus, its cheating but if you come across an old person that was in the guild and your like "Hey, I remember from you when you was in yourguildsname." it brightens someones day.

    IF i had my way, I would have a mod that does the following..
    ************************************************************

    1.Does a running census of the server... (yes i know thier is an addon that does this part)

    But this census would track the following,..... (Not only the current class,lvl and guild of each player)
    But also would keep track of that player tell the log is clear, or after thier not seen say after 6 months of playing thier auto cleared from the log.

    But the log would show, every guild and at what lvls, they was in the guild.. Example..

    Current:Player1 Druid lvl 70 GuildName1
    Past: lvl 1 - lvl 25 Interpretation
    lvl 25 - lvl 43 BurningEmbers
    lvl 43 - lvl 56 BringItFlaged
    lvl 56 - lvl 70 GuildName1

    But have this running data of every player in the census.
    I'M just a man of facts.. Plus with this guild I can see where a lvl 70 has came from, their background experience, if they just guild hop, or if their someone that stays with a guild. Nothing worse then getting someone in a guild, getting them prepped for the good stuff. Then bail once you get them where they want.

    OrionShock Winning Round 1: Recap

    He developed a wonderful add-on that scans the Guild Log.. Then makes a data export into the Saved Variables folder. The data table is what you see in the guild log minus what logs have accrued >1 hour of scan, it has exact time/date stamps.

    Small example:

    "Player1 leaves the guild On: 01/07/2008 08pm", -- [1]
    "player2 joins the guild On: 01/05/2008 05pm", -- [2]
    "player3 leaves the guild On: 01/04/2008 01pm", -- [3]
    "player4 joins the guild On: 12/31/2007 10am", -- [4]
    "GuildMaster removes BadGuildMember from the guild On: 12/28/2007 06am", -- [9]
    "GuildMaster removes BadGuildMember from the guild On: 12/28/2007 06am", -- [10]

    Round 2: Project 2
    -------------------------------------------

    There currently is an add-on called "Blacklist"

    http://wowui.incgamers.com/?p=mod&m=3938

    This addon lets you add players to a list that you hate. Then when you click on them in the game, a popup messages tells you thier on your list. Also you can add a note to each person on the list saying why you dont like them.

    So here is todays up comming challenge. Using Orion's GuildLogExporter... (and be sure to give credit to him in your code.) develop an add-on that adds anyone who leaves the guild to the list..
    As well, as puts orions time stamp, and date into the note section.

    ---- Use your creatvity ------

    1. Your allowed to use the blacklist add-on, and create your add-on to insert into the blacklist existing data already. Meaning, if i have the add-on blacklist. Then i use yours and scan my guild log. The people who leaves are added into that list.

    2. You can develop your own.. UI list like black list. Witch a player can bring up the list in game. See everyone who has left the guild.. along with a note beside it. "Date/time stamp" Also with "Kicked by:" or "Left on own accord"

    3. With the black list UI, if you target a player on that list it tells you. For bonus points I would like to see in that chat box if that person is talking. In any channel.. Some type of display thier on yoru list.. Be that persons name or post is in a different color or formated different. OR says thier name with :Blacklist: or something after their name. or a console message after their post saying their on the list, or maybe even the note on them from the list.

    4. Also for bonus.. IF your running the this add-on where creating, and you try to invite someone to the guild and their on the list. After you type /ginvite player1 its cans the list, and warns you that they have left or been kicked from the guild and or note on that. "Removed" or "Left on own accord"

    *************************************************************************************************

    Good Luck
    Thanks again to OrionShock
    Who has developed the orginal code.

    I currently use an addon called "GuildLog" it has a button i can click on that is in the Guild roster screen.. Once clicked it scans and sees who has joined, who has left ect, those who have left it shows their name, rank, and lvl they was. Also shows if any notes ect was changed. This is very nice.. Only problem is, i have to go back and read it all on each day to see who joined what day.

    My main purpose of this entire addon is just simply make a easily viewed, sorted data table, that allowed me to see who joined what day without having to go though and read tons of data. I just think it be the easiest viewed in a "date joined" column added into the guild roster page. (if possible)

    Guess, we could all ways spam blizzards forums under suggestions, and get them to put this into one of their patches.
