I stop playing for six months and the whole addon community goes ballistic
Just considering a return to WoW, but then I notice there's no sweet WAU to keep all the 100 addons up-to-date, everything working minutes after new patch was released, and laughing at those waiting impatiently for the 'release' to come available on some site (sometimes took about 2 weeks, can't be better now).
Blizz, some gold to host wowace, plz :)
Or if someone from Google reads this, buy Curse, host wowace, thx.
/clearfocus works fine in my macro and when typed out normally. My guess is it's your macro. Prat parses macros, as they go through chat. Post your macro here.
That's the problem. The problem is just in /clearfocus, even when not using any macro.
So if I set focus with /focus and then /clearfocus (both typed), clearfocus refuses to work.
and if I a make macro with nothing but "/clearfocus", still no good (as the commands still go through "chat" I believe)
EDIT: I retested this without removing any addons.
And this macro works:
/focus [button:1]
/clearfocus [button:2]
And this macro works (I'm pretty sure I tried it so it must have been the restart):
/clearfocus
then things get weird.. after setting the focus.
1) Typing "Enter" (to "open chat") and typing /clearfocus works!
2) Typing "*" (my hotkey for "open chat slash", which opens chat with "/" and typing clearfocus *does not* work (and this is what I usually have been doing)
this pretty much solves my problem because I now have a way to remove the focus, but still, pretty odd UI / chat command issue.

edit: and for future reference, post your queries in the appropriate threads, as the sticky suggests. :)
My bad :( Thank you for not flaming me into oblivion, for some reason I didn't post to Prat thread even that I checked it.
Apparently Prat stops /clearfocus command from working. it doesnt't matter if I type the command or place it in macro. (code from typed command)
I have tons of addons, but after little search here I pinpointed this to Prat (some other similar errors being "blocked" by Prat).
so I disabled Prat (leaving every other addon in place), and /clearfocus command was working again. Unfortunately I couldn't find this exact problem or solution to it :(
Any idea what's the problem? Any configuration/setting I can turn-off to make clearfocus work with Prat?
I'd hate to keep Prat disabled, it being such a good chat mod.
It's really not as hard as people make it out to be (no offense) - if you have the patience and commitment to actually look at it and understand it.
No offense taken :) This wasn't meant to be "I can't do it", but more of a "feature request" so more people would have the possibility to use it with ease. I took the time to check the menus and got the setup I wanted, it took about 3 hours reading and importing some frames and tuning the settings.
As a notice to other new users, settings things up can be done a lot faster unless you're micro-detail-management-everything-must-be-lined-up kind of user like I am.
IMHO, this doesn't take away the need for default settings better than "everything piled at the very middle" thou.
And importing the whole setup would make possible to take someone's hard work and take the full benefit from it, as I see no reason for 100 people to do 3 hours of work, when someone can spend 5 hours in it, make it perfect and share it. Lot like "skins" in many other non-wow programs (and in some wow-addons as well I think)
But like said, all this would only make excellent unit frame addon even better - with that said, I'm sticking with PitBull :)
The Cool Layouts sticky is nice, but there's just single frames there,
and I still have to tune settings to get it look right.
So it's not much good for PitBull newbie, like me.
I spent like 3 hours yesterday setting things up, and couldnt figure out many things :(
Best solution would be: Import full layout, settings and everything.
Is this possible? would this mean the whole .lua file?
I'm looking for the minimalistic view (no screen clutter like portraits) for solo, party and raid.
I mostly care about party/raid health as I am mainly healer.
Is there guide for PitBull configuration somewhere?
..Where all the settings would be explained?
