Oct 16, 2008I can find projects well enough, and it has links to images, repositories, files, tickets etc... but where are like... the wiki pages? Like for example I'm trying to find the documentation on Cowtip syntax... where do I find this? Seems like it should be pretty straightforward like it used to be so I may be missing something...Posted in: General Chat
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Sep 27, 2008I have a request. I dunno if it would be difficult to do or not... and I dunno if others besides me would actually be interested in this...Posted in: General AddOns
Would it be possible to add an option in that would hide the tooltip if your mouseover target is the same as your players target?
When you mouseover your current target, its not like the tooltip really shows anything you dont already know (although with the right configuration it obviously could), so it would be nice to just not have it appear.
I'm a MT for a guild and frequently I end up tanking bosses up against a wall, like Magtheridon for example. When this is the case, the boss pretty much takes up the entire screen for me. So I can hardly move the tooltip anywhere that the boss isn't.
I dunno. Any thoughts? Just an idea that would be a nice cosmetic option. But I know you are busy with all your amazing addons, ccknight.
Sep 10, 2008I know that this is a old addon and an old thread, but I know a lot of guilds still use this addon. One cool idea for this addon, is while its monitoring everyone's health, once everyone gets >8500 hp during the bubble phase, if u are the raid leader, to do a raid warning saying something along the lines of "THROW THE SPINE"Posted in: Raid AddOns
Aug 27, 2008Was tring MHLootSwitcher last night. It completely fails. It would successful switch to Master Looter and back when starting/ending a boss fight, but it would also switch to Master Looter and back randomly while doing Hyjal trash and then later while doing Gruuls trash (WTF?) it was even switching the loot then. Fail.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Aug 17, 2008Wow. Ever consider that I was trying to code something with future expansion in mind?Posted in: General AddOns
What about registering command line options?
What about the ability to turn the stupid addon on and off?
What about being able to save your options/settings from session to session?
You would expect someone to code all that by hand instead of using frameworks? If so, what is the point of the Ace frameworks?
Its just kinda funny that I choose to make a simple addon using Ace frameworks to code it faster and more efficiently and then I get criticized on the Ace forums for using Ace frameworks.
In your above example, the only way to turn it off would be to log out, disable the addon and log back in. Less bloat, yes but not very convenient for the user :-/
Aug 17, 2008Hmmm... Are you trying to diss my code or what?Posted in: General AddOns

- Automatically removes Blessing of Salvation or Greater Blessing of Salvation when it is cast on you.
There are already a couple addons that do this or assist in doing it, but their methods were bloated imo. This addon is meant to be very simple and straightforward with no configuration necessary.
Latest version always here (or get via your favorite Ace updater)
Aug 16, 2008I just made a small addon and successfully committed it to the SVN via the instructions in the wiki. But how do I get it to show up on files.wowace.com so that updaters can download it? Is it automatically pushed out from dev.wowace.com -> files.wowace.com or do I need to do something else? Because as of now, I don't see it on there.Posted in: AddOn HELP!
Aug 16, 2008This might be a trival thing for you guys, but I can't figure it out.Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
Mostly Ace addons I look at, when you disable the addon, ie standby, if you reload your UI or exit the game and play again later, the addon continues to stay in standby mode until you re-enable it.
I'm trying to make a simple addon but I can't figure out how to keep the addon from exiting standby mode and re-enabling itself everytime I reload the UI, enter the world, or restart WoW.
I've been following along with the Welcome Home! Addon example (for Ace2, I'll explore the Ace3 one next once I get this under control). http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WelcomeHome_-_Your_first_Ace2_Addon
So my question is, what would I do to the Welcome Home example to make it maintain its standby value between sessions? I'm sure its just one little thing I'm missing...
