Suspected as much. Not that there is any hurry. The european servers aint up for another 12 hours, by wich time I have to go to work. :P
I think CC in its current state aint too bad. 126.96.36.199 works very well and has some new nice options.

Oct 13, 2008Could we have an actual changelog for the curse client? Its 188.8.131.52 at the moment. Sure, there is a changelog in the curse directory but the only thing in there isPosted in: Updaters
A brand new client has been released!"
Oct 8, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from JexxThe lastest version of nQuestLog, the default Blizzard quest tracker keeps re-appearing. I have unchecked the automatic quest tracking in the interface options, but every time one of my quest updates the Blizz quest tracker pops back up.
This never happened until I updated to the version released Sunday I think it was.
This happens for me as well..
Oct 6, 2008Posted in: UpdatersQuote from doxxxTo be quite honest, from reading all the complaints here about the Curse Client, I'm scared shitless of trying it out. I'll just go hide in my basement. Somebody call me when it's safe. :P
It wont kill your computer :P But if you are worried just backup your interface and wtf folders.
Oh, by the way Kael. It would be nice if there was a report feature in the client. Perhaps one with a template of some kind. My thought would be that you right click the addon you have installed and click report bug. You can then type in stuff about the bug or whatnot.
-Describe the bug in a few words
-What where you doing when this bug occured?
-Is it reproducable? If yes, how do you go about to reproduce it?
It would also compile a list of what mods and their versions you are currently using and then send the bug report.
If someone is abusing the bug report feature to spam or something, you could just temp or permaban that user either from using the bug report or curse entirely.
Oct 6, 2008Would be nice if there was an update history. So.. one or more addons got updated, you check the history and see exactly what addons where updateded and you could check the changelog for those addons.Posted in: Updaters
But Im sure there will be such a feature.. or at least I hope there will be.
But when 3.02 goes live, or when wotlk arrives.. sure, will use the updater first. If some addons dont work still, might have to do it manually.
Oct 5, 2008At first I hated the idea of the wowace/curse merge, but Im ok with it now.Posted in: Updaters
I think the thing that most people dont realise is that without curse, wowace would probably have been shut down a while back due to the costs.
Looking forward to the new beta client and hope it brings any good changes. At the moment for me it seems to be doing its job, and I have had no addon problems for a week now. Sure, there are a few addons I use that it cant find such as lightheaded. And if you use mobmap you are better off using its own updater to get the most current version/database.
There is hope yet! ;)

Anyway, to summarize: I'm totally pissed off with what's happening. I'll be forced to use Curse Client as well and this makes my stomach hurt. But the pain will always make me remember what was the ACE logo: "developer community". Thanks guys, you contributed to create it, and then you've sold it and killed it. You should be proud. At least I hope you'll get a good cash from this, as 30 coins aren't enough.
1. I doubt very much that the ACE developer community is dead or will die, they just had to move.
2. It doesnt cost anything for authors to be part of it.
3. The client, while beta and not done yet is FREE. Only some features will be for paying(premium) members, like the autoupdate feature.
Oct 4, 2008The patch is also closing in, so it needs to work as intended when it goes live. I too might pay for a premium membership if its cheap, but only when he client is working properly (aka, not downloading ages old versions).Posted in: Updaters
Sep 30, 2008I think in order for it to work properly, the current cc system of using the date as version will have to change. So that it checks for the real version of the addon(as set by the author). If a newer version is found it can be updated. If an older(yes, curse has alot of old versions) or current version is found, it will not update.Posted in: Updaters
