    posted a message on Plz Help:AGUF+AGUF-Layouts can't show player names in T. Chinese
    The Font tags in every aUF_Layouts layout will have to hook AceLocal-2.2 (which the default layouts in ag_UnitFrames do.

    Add this line to the top of the layout .lua file you wish to use.
    local L = AceLibrary("AceLocale-2.2"):new("ag_UnitFrames")

    Then find all the Font calls in the file (there are 4 in the Nyrine layout: NameLabel, ClassText, HealthText, ManaText).
    Change the Font lines from this
    Font = "Interface\\AddOns\\aUF_Layouts\\Fonts\\calibri.ttf",

    to this
    Font = L["Interface\\AddOns\\aUF_Layouts\\Fonts\\calibri.ttf"],

    Just an FYI for everyone, heres how you can add your custom layout to ag_UnitFrames without the need for additional mods

    1. Add your .lua file to World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\ag_UnitFrames\layouts folder.
    2. Open the ag_UnitFrames.toc file for editing.
    3. Add "layouts\YOUR_LAYOUT.lua" (minus the quotes) on a new line with the other layout referencess (near the bottom).

    Your layout should now show up ingame in the ag_UnitFrames menus.

    Hm. It's not working, for me. First time making a layout.

    Step 1: copied Raid.lua as RaidZ.lua, and kept it in the same folder.
    Step 2: opened up that ag_UnitFrames.toc file, and added the line "layouts\RaidZ.lua".
    Step 3: fired up WoW, and tried to select RaidZ as a layout, but it doesn't show up as an option in the menus.

    Considering I'm trying this out with only a name-changed, working layout, I'm stumped.

    Did you also edit your RaidZ.lua file with the new name? There are three lines at the top of the file that require changing.
    aUF.Layouts.Raid = {
    		Name = "Raid",
    		Tip = "Raid",

    Must be changed to
    aUF.Layouts.RaidZ = {
    		Name = "RaidZ",
    		Tip = "RaidZ",

    A good guide for working with these layout files is http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Ag_UnitFrame_Themes.

    It looks like you are using both ag_UnitFrames and CT's unit frame mod? If so, try disabling one of them and see if that clears things up.

    @ Razor

    Seerah is correct, that is all you need to do. However, if you ever update aUF_Layouts you will have to re-edit the .toc file to include your .lua file.

    Just an FYI for everyone, heres how you can add your custom layout to ag_UnitFrames without the need for additional mods

    1. Add your .lua file to World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\ag_UnitFrames\layouts folder.

    3. Add "layouts\YOUR_LAYOUT.lua" (minus the quotes) on a new line with the other layout referencess (near the bottom).

    Your layout should now show up ingame in the ag_UnitFrames menus.
    Note:
    You will have to edit the ag_UnitFrames.toc file in this way every time you update your copy of ag_UnitFrames.

    I'm trying to mod phanx's custom layout to include a portrait. But I can't seem to do it right. so far have:

    Portrait = 		{ Visibility = {"Portrait","PortraitModel"},
                      Point = "TOPRIGHT",
                      RelativePoint = "TOPLEFT",
    								},

    But that doesn't seem to do anything :(

    Edit: hmmm...

    Do you have the Portrait's enabled?
    Look near the top of the layout file for
    Portrait = true,

    Is seperating Buffs and Debuffs something that is possible with a custom layout?

    Not yet.

    I dont know of a why to set a background for the frames within the layout file, but you can use something like Discord or xArt(?) to do it.

    The fonts is easy enough, just edit the layout's lua file that you want to use. Find the text elements you want to change (NameLabel, ClassText, HealthText, and ManaText). There should be a Font tag with a reference to the font file. Just change this to the font you want to use. You can use a diffirent font for each text field. Just make sure you link them right. The path for the addon folders is Interface\\AddOns\\ag_UnitFrames\\fonts (you can change the ag_UnitFrames bit to another folder and/or font location).

    Arg... I cant reproduce that effect. Its gotta be a glitch. Does it go away when you switch layouts? Is it only visible on one paticular frame? After selecting Mulesh1 as your layout, does reloading the UI do anything?

    Sorry I cant be of more help, I know how frustrating it is when a bug cant be reproduced. I really think its just your game having a brain fart. I guess I should also give you the "its another addon" spill but I really dont know. Try switching away from Mulesh1 and then back, reloading your UI before, after and during. Good luck :\

    I didn't edit it. I just downloaded ag_UnitFrames and aUF_Layouts with WoWAceUpdater.

    Hmm...
    In that case, I'll need to know the name of the layout you are using so I can fix it (author of aUF_Layouts, hehe).

    My guess would be your layout got edited incorrectly. Can you upload your layout file or copy/paste the code here?
