    Thanks for the attention to this. I appreciate the quick fix. I don't visit Curse much at all (unfortunately almost always under this kind of situation), and the page I initially was directed to from my AddOn on WoWI didn't have any immediate stand out "report" buttons.

    It appears Flipkabouter thought it a good idea to download my AddOn from WoWInterface, post it here on Curse as his, and then put HIS PayPal information in for donations.

    See: SLDataText 5.0.4

    I'm the original author, and I'm getting sick of having to come to this site to request my AddOn be removed because barrel sucking thief's cannot stop posting it. Really, people NOTICE this kind of crap, and then come and tell me...Curse isn't some secret society where no one will notice that you posted another persons AddOn.

    Curse Admins...remove this AddOn immediately. I never authorized it being posted here (again...) and this PoS Flipkabouter is stealing donations for work that is not his own.

    cM...check the localization for the colors in the Colors.lua file of SLDataText, as the error is in relation to the selected color not being properly localized for your client.

    posted a message on UI Screenshots - Show us what you use!
    Current WIP: http://www.project-guild.com/images/WoWUI2_4_1.jpg

    Things to note: Raid groups grow from left to right vertically. The unit frames to the right of raid are MT's, and below the raid is Assists. Currently using MSBT and missing Parrot. The memory load includes the non-LoD version of Lightheaded which runs at 14mb...so subtract about 13mb from the total, so the entire UI runs pretty light. There's actually 4 fully active keybound bars usable, just not visible...3 of which display as paging modifiers on Alt and Ctrl. Probably most happy with this layout...as I've gone through quite a few in the last few weeks. Tooltip borders are custom loaded to replace the main blizzard tooltip.

    posted a message on Possible to start a new UI Screenshot thread?

    PLUS that thread is like 35% UI Screenshots and 65% meaningless talk.

    This new post now has one UI Screenshot and (now) 8 responses, making it a 12.5% SS's to 87.5% discussion ratio. This new thread already fails in epic proportions compared to the other one. :P

    posted a message on [Bug] Pitbull - Bar Fader (All Units)
    Seems to be a problem with the BarFader feature. Getting this error when trying to access "All Units" -> "Bars" -> "Bar fading":

    Interface\AddOns\Pitbull\BarFader\BarFader.lua:384: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

    Seems to work ok if you go through each unit individually, so it's just the global "All Unit" Bar fading features that seem to be throwing the error.

    SLCore and all modules are functioning as well, if SLTimex users haven't upgraded yet. They're still supported & patched as needed, as well.

    It's inevitable that as UI's become more and more minimalistic and clean, that people are going to continue to seek FuBar-style alternatives to replacing simplistic data mods for better integration into their UI's. All of the SL addons I've created as simply this...FuBar alternatives because "I" personally didn't like being locked into horizontal bars for the plug-ins. And while the Module library I built doesn't include the ability to act like the FuBar plug-in where other AddOns can create a "command center" so to speak...it's still a work in progress (ie. SLTracking uses Icons & Text now). They will be worked over to Ace3 eventually, but for the time being they're working good.

    Regardless, it's not surprising to see more and more of these pop up. It gives people alternatives for which to use, and which to prefer. Each one has subtle differences that makes them unique, and I'm sure this one will be no exception. :)

    posted a message on how to implement waterfall?
    Put:

    local waterfall = AceLibrary("Waterfall-1.0")

    at the beginning of your core LUA file (along with any other library additions you might have, such as SharedMedia).

    I usually register my waterfall in my Initialize function along with registering my defaults, "after" the default registers.

    Depending on how you want to access your waterfall, you have to call waterfall:Open() in a function. This is how I would do it:

    function YourAddon:OnInitialize()
      self:RegisterDefaults("profile", self.defaults)

      self:RegisterChatCommand(L["Slash-Commands"], function() waterfall:Open("TalkingSheep") end)

      waterfall:Register("TalkingSheep",
      "aceOptions", self.opts,
      "title", "YourAddon Title")

      -- Do other stuff here
    end

    Blizz has changed something pretty hefty in the mail notification system. I've been trying to bug them to give some details, but I haven't gotten any yet. It's hard to duplicate the "Sold" problem without having 1000 auctions listed for stuff that will sell consistantly, since I can't create a "fake" Sold auction. Once I get it pinned down, I'll put the info here for someone to commit a change to MailFu, too.

    + get all the benefits of the libraries (like SharedMedia)

    SLTimex has SharedMedia embedded, and even comes with a bunch of fonts registered to SM for use throughout all your addons. It was a feature I couldn't avoid adding.

    That's pretty much the same thing I've done, only I've strictly used the UPDATE_PENDING_MAIL event instead of the SpecialEvents_MailReceived event. I also created the variable outside to script (to avoid accidental fire updates and whatnot...like the login update that fires along with SpecialEvents_MailInit). I don't know how to commit a change to the SVN for MailFu, so someone else should be able to do it using the code above.

    I managed to create a fix for SLTimex's mail module, which is present in 2.0-r8. My guess is (since I cannot get a response on the o-boards) that UPDATE_PENDING_MAIL is firing twice now upon mail received, once to update the Minimap Mail Icon and once to update the "username" that was an added feature in 2.3, and it's not just AH mail...it's all mail (I tested heavily last night).

    A fix is to create a small script using the UPDATE_PENDING_MAIL event that will ignore the 2nd event firing. Worked like a charm on SLTimex. Same fix will work for MailFu.
