I can quite understand the need.
I guess the note-addon not as comfortable as needed when it comes down to a search.
Basically I would second the idea.
What's needed is the possibility to add a character manually. Maybe the AddOn needs a communication like GuildEventManager did by using a hidden chatchannel although I know it's kinda ugly you would have all the information you need. Then again I think there might be "too much information". With about 200 characters using this AddOn it will result in a heavy cpu and memory load i guess.

i think somebody else had this problem but resolved it by doing a fresh install if i recall correctly. and of course, you are using the version from this branch and not the trunk version, right? i know people have complained about trunk skillet pausing at times.

Excuse me for being an idiot. Dude, this version of Skillet is a blessing directly from heaven.
I'm still experiencing little lags however I can bear with it.
Thumbs up for an own name. Had to exclude Skillet from being updated by WAU or else it would be replaced by the original all the time.

    Thanks for your comment =)

    Hi,

sorry if I'm mentioning an already reported issue.
When I start crafting any item Skillet makes my fps go down to around 4fps. It's like WoW becomes stuck after each item created. It takes around 1-2 seconds for the game to come back to normal. In most cases this is the time for the next item being created. Therefore it's almost impossible to chat or trade while crafting. I guess this might be a result of the inventory scan, whenever the number of materials are changing. I am not sure though.

Thanks for your time and this great AddOn

    posted a message on Skinner
    Hi again,

since the update of skinner last night my tooltips are kinda messed up. The headline appears to have a white background no matter what making it almost impossible to read some titles such as Herbs and so on.

    Link to a Screenshot: http://baernado.haefft-team.de/img/tooltipskinner.jpg

Small update: after quite a while it appears the tooltips are switching back to normal which did not happen last night. In addition after even more time other tooltips are switching back to normal. EQcompare/tekKompare was having the same problem. When the usual tooltips "recovered" the compare's tooltip did not. Later on even those came back to normal.

    Hi,

The high memory usage is due to some inefficient code in the Nameplates skin, just disable Nameplate skinning for the moment or turn off Nameplates in the UI.

I'm working on a fix for it :-)

I was trying to rebuild the moment Skinner starts hogging so much memory and after some fighting it seemed to me this happened while looting. I'm using Xloot. However I'm still not sure. Will try disabling Nameplate skinning for now. Thanks for the advice.

    Hi

I'm experiencing skinner becoming a memory hog on casuality. I don't know when exactly it's happening however I guess it's starting during a fight. When triggerd, Skinner uses around 600-700KB/s of memory. Needless to say this results in fps-lags and so on. Can't really tell what's wrong up until now. I have quite a bunch of addons installed so it maybe a bad interaction with an other addon. Might try to isolate the problem. Just wanted you to know atm.

posted a message on One click auction buyout
    Hey,

I'd kinda like this AddOn if it worked. Sadly this one does not work for me. From what I am reading I guess its meant to place the Buyoutprice if Shift is pressed and the right mousebutton is used on the Buyoutbutton. Sadly it seems to me the button does not recognize this event. So basically it does not work.
Would it be possible to verify and fix the code + maybe change it to bind the event on clicking the item itself? This way you would be alot faster.

posted a message on Characterspecific buffs
    Hi,

first I tried to search for an AddOn like what I needed but couldn't find any so this is the result.
I'm looking for an AddOn that keeps up Palabuffs almost like Pallypower or SmartBuff however I want to be able to assign single buffs to certain characters.
Why would I need this? Well let's say we have a raid with about 3 Palas and there are 4 Druids and 3 Shamans in the raid as well.
Two Druids are Tanks, one is a Moonkin and one is Restro.
1 Shaman is Healer and one is Melee.

    Tankdruids need: Light, Might, Kings
    Moonkin needs: Salvation, Wisdom, Kings
    Restro needs: (Salvation?), Wisdom, Kings

    Shaman Healer: Same like Restro
Shaman Melee: has lost anyways, because he needs 4 blessings lol :D (Kings, Might, Wisdom, Salvation)

Well yeah the Druids are the most annoying class to be buffed.
The most Addons basically let you bind a buff to a specific class.

    Thanks for your time.

posted a message on Postal (was GMail2): Updated
    Hey there,

Postal is quite an awesome mod which helped me working more efficient in WoW. However what I am still looking for is a possibility to mass send COD-messages. Looks like spam, huh? But yesterday I was asked to craft just some ammunition and so did I. Furthermore I was asked to send them by COD mail. That was the moment I had to send over 50 Mails one-by-one. Is there a way to keep COD-Settings for Alt-Click-Send?

    Thanks so far :)

Although it was mentioned to be fixed I still get this error after deleting my SavedVariables of AI and updating to the latest SVN

posted a message on WowAceUpdater - An update tool for Windows users.
Hm up till now I was using the non .net-version and I have recently installed the .net one. I do not have any problems with the updater. The tabbed systems is quite ok for whatever action you are planning to proceed. I am kinda unused to this way but I guess it's easy to get along with.

About the ad being displayed I was first annoyed but then I thought it's one way of supporting this project. I have to admit I am not donating any money via PayPal so I am kinda glad I can at least support you guys by clicking the ad. I am starting the updater several times each day although I am not updating every single time but I started clicking the ad so there is a little "payback". It is kinda annoying IE is popping up instead of my default Firefox but I guess that's no problem for me after all since I am closing the window right after the site finished loading anyways.

I am aware I am using WAU how it was not meant to be used just to update the addons instead of helping as a beta-tester. I would love seeing an option like "only update release versions" which would lower your traffic like it was said earlier. This way lazy players like me won't get annoying bugs from beta-versions either and you might avoid your heavy load.

After all I can just say I'm quite satisfied and thankful for the addons and additional tools you are providing and hope you will keep up that work.
