Alright. Can I ask why you'd want to separate talents that give an ability from those that don't?

Why not add Database -> Spells -> Talents -> Paladins to the dataminer?

When a talent gives a new ability, the spell ID for the ability/resulting buff is the same as the talent. Using the Divine Sacrifice example above, you can find the spell ID 64205, which Requital gave above, by going to Database -> Spells -> Talents -> Paladins.

Class skills function the same way: if one generates, say, a debuff on a mob, the spell ID of that debuff is the same as the ability that's on the player's toolbar.

So I'm still not sure where the problem is.

The class spells are automatically mined from wowhead. Unfortunately they suck... spells you learn from talents aren't included in their list...

Umm... on wowhead, working through the dropdowns:

Database -> Spells -> Class Skills -> Paladins
This one won't have Divine Sacrifice.

    Database -> Spells -> Talents -> Paladins
    This one will.

Am I missing something? The data is there.

Keep it light, keep it simple, let people add functionality as they see fit with external modules /nod what I always liked about BigWigs. Oh, and rabbit's commit messages

While I can agree with the principle in general, in this case, I have to say I'd like to see that implemented. I turn on nameplates in those fights, which prevents bigwigs flash and shake effects from working. Seems counterproductive to me.

Yeah that's why I mentioned it above. It seems really appropriate to what was being said here. Perhaps someone can point him to this thread?

Shefki, will this allow the use of external librairies such as LibTalentQuery that generate a callback? My guess is yes, but what you wrote above is a little above my level of expertise.

About a standard for the data format, isn't this what Thaoky (Atoholic's author) is trying to achieve with his DataStore collection of addons?

Yeah talk about a contradiction... So when we see this:

    r5853 | rabbit | 2009-08-23 01:35:59 +0000 (Sun, 23 Aug 2009) | 1 line
    Changed paths:
M /trunk/Coliseum/Champions.lua Translate Faction Champions. Still completely untested, someone gief feedback?

we should ignore it... or not... go figure.

Would have been nice to explain what was going on. Particularly if they want feedback. Also, the change log is pretty confusing. It does state clearly that raid warnings are not coming back and that the Bossblock options are clearly gone.

I'll wait and see but if this goes through, I will not using Big Wigs anymore. I'll miss LittleWigs and CommonAuras...

Question about r5891. I see this in the changelog: "Big Wigs will no longer broadcast any warnings to RAID_WARNING, messages will from now on only be displayed locally."

Wow. That's a pretty big change. I'm curious as to the reasoning behind this change. I do have people who rely on my raid warnings and don't use a boss mod. Wondering if that could be an option.

Problem is, the project page is what gets syndicated to Curse.com, I believe. I wouldn't mind seeing a message like what is suggested above in-game though. At least in alpha versions. After all, that's why I download them, and I'd have an easy way to find out which feature was modified (I do read changelogs btw, but remembering all the changes for every addon is a bit much).

Of course, that doesn't solve the problem of making people download alphas in the first place...

Little bug: if you wipe on the Black Knight in P3 for example, when you attempt him again, LittleWigs will give you the message that you've defeated the Black Knight after P1 of your second attempt. I'm gonna guess you're counting his deaths and think we've beat him when it hits 3 deaths? If so, you need a way to reset that on a wipe.

Ah alright. Yeah, it's easy enough to work around. I didn't think they wouldn't be included.

Thaoky, your latest alpha (r40) isn't packaging DataStore for some reason. I can't see an obvious reason why not, so giving you a heads-up.
