    another question, and i swear i've looked everywhere :)
    when i mouse over buffs now on any frame (x-perl or otherwise), there's a few lines on the tooltip that say:
    Without buff: (x)
    1: name name name name etc

    how can i remove that from my tooltip (stop xperl from scanning that type of stuff)? i dont need xperl scanning my party/raid for missing buffs - i use another mod that does that much more effectively.

    thanks!

    This should replicate what X-Perl does:

    local i = 1
    local count = 0
    local mine = false

    while true do
     local name, _, _, _, _, _, _, caster = UnitAura(unit,i,"HELPFUL")
     if not name then
      break
     elseif name == "Renew" then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Rejuvenation"  then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Regrowth" then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Lifebloom"  then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Wild Growth" then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Earthliving"  then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Riptide"  then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     elseif name == "Gift of the Naaru" then
      count = count + 1
      if caster == "player" then mine = true end
     end
     i=i+1
    end

    if count > 0 then
     if mine then return "|cff00ff00%s|r", count else return "|cffff0000%s|r", count end
    end
    I have tested part of it: it does return HoTs in red when I don't have an active HoT on the player. I haven't tested this luatext on a healer yet, so I don't know if it correctly returns the number of HoTs in green if you have an active HoT on the player. Let me know if it works.

    The template should be easy enough for you to tweak if you want to add/remove HoTs, change colors... etc.

    As someone who asked for it, let me say thanks for adding an option to control Bossblock. Much appreciated.

    But that's why they do it that way (I believe). If you did change factions, it would be marked as completed automatically. It helps Blizzard. So this is something addon authors will have to take into consideration: for quests that are both horde and alliance, they both get marked as completed if you do them. And vice-versa: if an addon wants to tell a player which quests (s)he hasn't done, it needs to be filtered by faction.

    Yes it does. Mouseover your character/skill on the screen that displays all your toons' tradeskills (sorry, not in front of it right now, can't be more precise than that).

    Surely you don't think features are designed so that every user finds every single one helpful? In such a case you would end up with only 2 features, bars and warnings. There will always be features that some people find useful and some people don't.

    I don't have a problem with the tips personally, but umm... pot calling the kettle black much? You guys have had several requests for an option to control BossBlock in the previous pages and it's been studiously ignored. Even though "some" would find it useful.

    Answer #5 above should solve that, even though it only says Buffs. If not, I am not sure, I'd have to look and I'm not home right now.

    Hi everyone. First, a screenshot:
    http://i38.tinypic.com/2e2gjk2.jpg

    1. Why are my buffs and debuffs showing twice? See the area just to the left of the minimap. I do use a buff mod, Buffalo. Never had double buffs/debuffs before installing XPerl.

    2. How can I remove the spaces between party members? See right side, the space between Elohar & Thugwit. I don't need to see party buffs/debuffs so I turned that off, but want to have a compact party window with no space between members.

    3. My target, the Converted Hero, has super large debuffs on him (my debuffs) - I thought I disabled that in the options. Can you point me to anywhere else I need to disable Big Debuffs?

    4. My target, the Converted Hero, has some weird slash thing over his portrait, and you see 100% in the portrait. What are those two things?

    5. My Target of Target frame shows buffs/debuffs. How can I disable that? Again, I thought I did, but apparently not!

    6. How can I get a Target of Target of Target frame? I got addicted to that from using Perl_Classic, and it's really a great feature. I didn't find it in the options though, so any pointers would be great!

    7. Notice how the name section of target and target of target frames extends the length of the healthbar sections. How do I make the party frames behave that way? Just to have a cleaner look, I would like the name frame for party members to extend the length of the healthbar frames. Eliminating the dead space there would be good :)

    8. Finally, is there any way to add me to my party frame? I like having my personal frame up in the top-left of my screen a bit bigger size for when I'm solo, but when I'm partied, I like to have my toon included in the party window too, so I can see everything in the same place. Basically I want me shown in both areas when I'm partied :P

    9. Thanks to the author for a super mod, I can't wait to replace Perl_Classic :) And, thanks to everyone who reads this and especially to those who can help answer some of my questions!

    :-*

    1. Options - Player - check Player Buffs - check Hide Default Buffs - uncheck Player Buffs again.

    2. Options - Party - there's a Spacing setting at the top left.

    3. Options - Target - Enable Debuffs - uncheck Big Debuffs. If they already are unchecked, right below this, there's a slider for the debuff size. Adjust as you want.

    4. It's the threat meter and the amount of threat. It's a gauge (think of a speedometer in a car). There's another way to represent threat in X-Perl (Name or Portrait). It's in the Target options too.

    5. Still in the Target tab, there's Target's Target options. Uncheck Target's Target Buffs.

    6. Right below the options for #5, check Target's Target's Target.

    7. Don't think you can.

    8. Same as #7, since most people have the party right below their own portrait.

    I suggest you spend a little more time on the options. Several of these could have been answered easily, had you looked.

    Read this, Aezay: http://www.wowace.com/addons/big-wigs/pages/tip-of-the-raid/

    I haven't seen tips in-game, but it looks like it's setup for it.

    Do they run their own boss mod that blocks your broadcasts maybe?

    It does broadcast to raid if you have the Broadcast option checked. But you'll never see it because Bossblock is on by default.

    You get a table of questIDs according to a post on mmo-champion. Here's the post:

    For anyone who's interested, GetQuestsCompleted(table) sets table to a list of only quest IDs, no extra information provided, and includes flags such as http://db.mmo-champion.com/q/13807/.

    From a premade character (All quests wiped) who only completed Preparations for War:
    { --[[ _G["testy"] ]]
        13807,
        13418,
        13419
    } --[[ _G["testy"] ]]

    Can I just say.... finally!

    • “registerForClicks” added to xml buttons.
    • “MouseIsOver” has been converted to a “C” function for increased efficiency (e.g. /dump PlayerFrame:IsMouseOver() ).
    • When an addon file is loaded, the addon name and an addon table are passed to the file through ‘…’. The same addon table is passed to every file loaded by a particular TOC file (example at the top of a Lua file: “local addonName, addonTable = …;”.
    • “motionScriptsWhileDisabled” attribute added to buttons. This allows “OnEnter”; and “OnLeave”; to fire while the button is disabled.
    • “GetFileHeight()” and “GetFileWidth()” added to Texture objects. 0 is returned if no texture file is associated with the texture.
    • You can now query for a list of completed quests with “QueryQuestsCompleted()” then wait for the “QUEST_QUERY_COMPLETE” event, and call “GetQuestsCompleted(<luatable>)”.

    What other info do you need that BigWigs does not provide?

    -Ammo

    I can't recall off-hand. I've seen a few fights where other boss mods had a few different things from BW. I'll also point out that there are modules and that different persons run different modules. Not sure how modular other boss mods are, but that's one reason I might want to see what they say, if only in my chat frame.

    Anyway, one more vote for giving us an option to disable BossBlock.

    As to your comment to someone else that you listen to suggestions that are explained well, there had been zero replies to suggestions of showing the health of mobs that have to die at the same time until Arrowmaster stepped in and explain it would be bad because it'd require target-scanning. At least, that's a reason I can understand. But it didn't come from one of the BW authors. So when suggestions are properly given, please reply as to why you don't implement them at the very least. Like the last page of posts all asking for an option to control Bossblock, for example...
