Is there any possibility to separate PartyFrames allowing me to put them where I want in my screen.
[Party1] [Party2] <something else here> [party3] [party4]
Thanks in advance
Edit : Doh, I forgot ... thanks for this mod, I love it.

If you really want the timer bar, ToFu hooks to a ton of addons, oCD for example, to display the bar.
And I have zero idea what reckoning counter is but I assume it's something class specific and there's probably addons for that already so I won't implement them to the hud.
I was joking for the timer bar, I really don't care about it. Reckoning is a Paladin's talent. Each time you got crit, you gain an extra swing, you can keep them (up to 4) and when you will release them, you will have 5 swings, this is what we call the bomb or the anti-rogue (because rogue crits a lot and wear leather so a Paly can hit them in return for more than 2000hp in a second). But you are right, it is possible to find other addOns. I just thought it was a good idea to add it directly to your HUD as you still have the same kind of stuff for other class as rogue if I am right.
Dec 18, 2006I am using Grid since some weeks and I can't understand what trouble people have with the sort options.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
Personaly, I use Grid for healing and decurse (I am a Paladin), so my settings are very simple:
- Class order
- Show debuff
- Show healing in progress (when working :P)
- Alpha set to 10% if not in range/death/offline
This way, I can heal fast warriors, druids, priest, ... in my range and I really don't care about the name of the guy I am healing.
This mod is great and fast, more options you will have, more slow and useless it will be.
Now if someone really need a sorted frames system, why not create an other addOn or a grid option that will simply parse your raid members and order them by name (nameList = [STRING]), you will simply have to do it manualy everytime someone join/leave the group and you are out of combat. This must be faster to develop and not change the way Grid is working if I am not wrong.
-= I was a bit confuse with this mod when I started to use it - but now, I love it - thanks great team =-

It had a bar from ToFu but I dropped it from this release. Trying to maintain somewhat minimalistic addon here and that module simply was not necassary. I don't know about you guys but when I jump to a gryphon, I want to know how long it will take for me to land and when ToFu tells me it's 9mins, I know I have some time to prepare a sandwich or something. No need for any fancy bars there.
I completely disagree with you Iceroth, this was the only "bug" I found, so if you don't want to had it, what will I have to do now :( Thanks a lot for your work, I love it and can't play without it now. But I will love it more with a little Reckoning counter for Paladin :P
Dec 12, 2006_ForgeUser31251 posted a message on ag_UnitFrames - suggestions, requests and temp fixes threadHere is a list of troubles/suggestions I had with the version of yesterday. I know I will repeat what others players already did, so sorry in advance:Posted in: Unit Frames
- Portraits doesn't appear correctly (not a priority)
- Can't sort by class anymore (not a priority)
- Leftmouse click not released properly (drag/click issue)* (priority)
- Party frames doesn't want to hide in raid (priority)
- Groups' title doesn't refresh when you change border and color, need to restart (not a priority)
Otherwise, I love it, thanks.
* It happened me 3 times, when I was trying to move a frame by clicking on a name in a group and move the frame, when I release my mouse button, the frame is still following, not allowing me to click somewhere else. I needed to logout and in to release my mouse buttons. (I checked my mouse :D) Could be a problem with Clique too. I need to investigate a bit more.
Dec 12, 2006_ForgeUser31251 posted a message on ag_UnitFrames Collected Bugs, Issues, and MiscellanyI got the same problem too but sometimes portraits appear depending when I zone, join a groupd/raid but it's lagging as hell. I know they are working on it, so it would be nice in a few days. *Crossing fingers*Posted in: Unit Frames
Nov 10, 2006I know tekkub will hate me but reading this forum a lot, I think this could be an interesting topic and I will start by a first suggestions.Posted in: General AddOns
This application is very important for most of us so first "thank" to the creator.
- At the end of update, display the result of all changelog.txt Checking changelog.txt files for all addOns is time consuming and I am more than sure that only a few people do it, so this will help people to focus on testing ALL changes, help them to know what have been change and what action to take (for example Huge Text Box Problem).
- Automatic backup : zip the current addOn's folder before update it. This way I will never spam tekkub with stupid posts as I did ;) and it will be very easy to restore the previous version. And why not an option "Restore previous used version" on the popup menu.
This is just a suggestion and if you think this topic has no reason to exist, please just delete it.

To be 100% honest, I love both (playing 50% and testing addOn 50%) that is why I was just complaining about missing librairies. A bug is part of the job but forgeting a librairies is really anoying because we can't test it without loosing times.
Where can I find ag_UnitFrames but the normal one, not the one for TBC? I tried Wow Interface, Curse and UI.WorldOfWar
:( I was searching addOns on other website as Wow Interface, Curse and UI.WorldOfWar and a lot are missing: Buffalo, Detox, GMail, IceHUD, Ora2, Prat, XLoot, XRS, ... and much more. This is why WAU is SO IMPORTANT :D
Btw, I downloaded the one I found.

You mentioned your time available for playing as a problem so here's a suggestion: if you don't want to waste as much time on setting up your addons each day because some problem came after you used WinAceUpdater, I would suggest you only to update maybe once a week, backup your old versions first. So if some addon breaks, just copy in the backup and wait until next week to see if those addons are fixed.
You are right, but I am computer addicted too, so I love to get the last version with the last features :P (portrait in AG_UnitFrame was an example). I didn't understand it was a place to share developments and not a place to find all the Ace2 addOns. Maybe a lake of english from me or I missed something on this web. Well, your solutions is good and I will do it.
Thanks for your suggestions.

As a dev yourself never thought about using a svn client?
Blame on me but no, never.
Btw, its called BigWIGS not Wing or Wings ;-)
Ouch ... my bad again. I am french and "wings" sounds better for me :D
I am sorry if I offense someone, it was not my expectation. I am a casual player since I got a baby and I only have 30mn-1hour for playing per day. So I was a bit disapointed to spend my short playtime to use back old addOns version or search and download dependencies.
But the good thing is that if I was upset, it is because I CAN'T play without the addOns you created , for me they are part of the game now.
Thanks for your work, sorry for my misunderstanding and sorry if I hurt someone.
Nov 8, 2006So I am sorry for my misunderstanding.Posted in: General AddOns
I thought WoWAceUpdater was the application to get the last good version
This tool provides an easy way for you to keep your Ace addons up to date.
and I thought the directory http://www.wowace.com/files was the good hosting version and http://svn.wowace.com/files/ the beta one.
Sorry for my mistake. This is clear now and I will only use versions available on other websites but I am very very sad because your tool (WoWAceUpdater) is really one of the best I ever find.
Proposal: Is it possible to have a directory with tested addOns? So we will be able to ask WoWAceUpdated to use this one.
Anyway, thanks for your reply and for your work.
Nov 8, 2006Hello everybody,Posted in: General AddOns
First of all, I am developer too so this message is for me too.
I just wanted to ask you to take care of what you submit. I know how much is it hard to test correctly something you did yourself but please ... I update the mods using winace application and everyday I got new librairies missing (today is Antagonist, yesterday was BigWing and so on). I have create some addOns too and made the mistake too. But please take care of it, it is more that anoying.
Today, I have a big splash frame in the center of my screen appearing everytime I receive a buff or a heal. No need to tell you that I died many times in PvP ... just behind this frame :D
Please, please, please Ace2 is great, we can include librairies directly and develop standelone addOn. After 1 week, I add to install directly 4 librairies to be sure all the addOns works well.
So 2 possibilities:
1) Test/check and recheck your addOn before submit it/them
2) Stop to write so good addOn, so we will be able to play without them :P
Personaly, I vote for the number 1.
Well, thanks a million for your understanding and thanks two millions for your great work.
