just updated and now my chat fonts are huge

using font module and clearfont2. i didnt change any settings. how do i get my prat fonts back to normal?

I'm also getting huge fonts as of r67130. I too am using ClearFont2, which was just updated as well, but resorting back to Prat's previous revision returned the font back the normal. It seems not all the fonts, shared by SharedMedia or otherwise, are showing up in Prat r67130, either. I'm only seeing 4 or so.

That's very good, I've searched that code - but I miss one thing: if the mouseovertarget targets me, I would like to see the white <<YOU>> string... Can somebody help me with that?

This is currently what I'm using:

[Outline][(if PvP and Name = Name(unit="player") then Green elseif PvP and IsPlayerOrPet and IsFriend then Green elseif PvP and IsPlayerOrPet and IsEnemy then Yellow elseif not PvP and Name = Name(unit="player") then Color("27ddff") else HostileColor end) NameRealm:PvPRank [if Name(unit="mouseovertarget") = Name(unit="player") then "You":ClassColor(unit="player"):Prepend(":":Gray) elseif IsPlayer(unit="mouseovertarget") then Name(unit="mouseovertarget"):ClassColor(unit="mouseovertarget"):Prepend(":":Gray) elseif not IsPlayer(unit="mouseovertarget") then Name(unit="mouseovertarget"):HostileColor(unit="mouseovertarget"):Prepend(":":Gray) end]]

There's probably a more efficient way of getting the same result, but it works.

Yes, this function is in the default CowTip setup.

Oh, is it? I didn't notice. I just wiped everything to update my DT2 code to DT3's format. Thanks for the heads up.

I use this line for tinytip style name

    i.e.

    Dave : DavesTarget

    In apropreate class colors

    [Name:ClassColor] [Name(unit="mouseovertarget"):ClassColor(unit="mouseovertarget"):Prepend(': ')]

Thanks again for the example. Being anal and all, I made a minor tweak to your code and thought you'd might be interested in the result:

    [if IsPlayer(unit="mouseovertarget") then Name(unit="mouseovertarget"):ClassColor(unit="mouseovertarget"):Prepend(":") elseif not IsPlayer(unit="mouseovertarget") then Name(unit="mouseovertarget"):HostileColor(unit="mouseovertarget"):Prepend(":")]

Now NPCs will be shown in their hostile color while players are still shown by their class color.

Is it in any way possible to display a moused over target's target? For example, Name(unit="targettarget") will show my selected target's target, but what about just a target that is moused over?

I'm getting the same issue as of r66478.15. It seems that the config lines are being formatted in to multiple lines. For example, when entering:

[Alt and (if HasMP and IsMana then "MP:":Gray else if HasMP and IsRage then "Rage:":Gray else if HasMP and IsEnergy then "Energy:":Gray else if HasMP and IsFocus then "Focus:":Gray) (if HasMP then FractionalMP:PowerColor " " "(":Gray PercentMP:Percent:PowerColor ")":Gray)]

The line is automatically formatted to look like:

[Alt and (if HasMP and IsMana then
      "MP:":Gray
    elseif HasMP and IsRage then
      "Rage:":Gray
    elseif HasMP and IsEnergy then
      "Energy:":Gray
    elseif HasMP and IsFocus then
      "Focus:":Gray
    end) (if HasMP then
      FractionalMP:PowerColor " " "(":Gray PercentMP:Percent:PowerColor ")":Gray
    end)]

Hence why the line appears to be cut off. That's copied directly from one of my config lines. I have to edit my lines in notepad for now.

I hit a bit of a snag. In the DT2 days, I used this for my Name line:

    [Outline][ [Name = [PvP ? Name#player] ] ? Green ! [ [Name = Name#player] ? Color(27ddff)] ][IsPlayerOrPet ? IsFriend ? [Name ~= Name#player] ? [ [Name = [PvP ? Name] ] ? Green ! Color(00B0FD)] ][IsPlayerOrPet ? IsEnemy ? [Name ~= Name#player] ? [ [Name = [PvP ? Name] ] ? Yellow ! Color(00B0FD)] ][~IsPlayerOrPet ? HostileColor][NameRealm:PvPRank][Shift ? Target:HostileColor#target:Prepend([DifficultyColor#target]:)]

Yes, I know it's a bit long and outdated, but I was too lazy to tidy it. Anyway, my problem is that I can't seem to figure out how I'd go about making my name a unique color, while still allowing it to turn green when flagged using DT3's new format. So basically speaking: My name would be a unique color, would turn green when flagged, while enemies and friendlies would use HostileColor. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Scratch that. I've seemed to figure it out. For those wondering the same thing:

[(if PvP and Name = Name(unit="player") then Green else if not PvP and Name = Name(unit="player") then Color("27ddff") else HostileColor) NameRealm:PvPRank]

Or something along those lines, at least. The "If PvP" was what I was looking for.

Is it possible to display a player's portrait facing right and a target's portrait facing left? The Reverse doesn't seem to work in Target > Other > Portrait if that's what it's supposed to do. The target's portrait faces right even with it checked.

I'm curious if anyone can solve my problem. I'm currently trying to color my [Faction] line using [RepColor], but [RepColor] only works on watched factions or by using an argument. The only way I could think of was by doing the following:

    [~IsPlayerOrPet ? RepColor([Faction])][~IsPlayerOrPet ? Faction]

The problem, however, is that color codes create blank lines if the line they're coloring contain no available info. So in this case, if I target a non-player/pet unit without a faction, I get a blank line. Does anybody have a simpler way of achieving this without the blank lines?

EDIT: Bah, I figured it out. I don't know why I didn't think of it before. For anyone else that's interested:

    [~IsPlayerOrPet ? Faction:RepColor([Faction])]

I appreciate the BlizUF_LMH4, break19, but it appears there's some errors with the options command:

Sorry if it's been discussed before, but I came across an issue in CowTip. It seems that some NPCs display their faction and there's no way of removing/modifying it. I took a screen shot to better explain what I'm talking about:

    http://files.skizelli.com/images/WoWScrnShot_030908_002503.jpg

As you can see, I have removed all lines of code and the tooltip still displays the faction. This also seems to be the case for the player loot when in groups. Is there any way of remedying these, or is it a bug?

But you said that it happens "every time" you turn in a quest. I linked that wiki page after I read that, since it should make it very easy for you to follow the directions on that page. (Hint: use a lvl 1 character. First make sure that they get the error, then follow the instructions about narrowing down addons.)

Once again, I appreciate the link, but it's not an easy task when 1) you're using an excess of 100 small mods, and 2) it happens at random. I'm just looking for a bone here and maybe anyone else that might be having the same issue to perhaps help weed out the problem. I neglected to mention that it does happen on more than one toon. Being the holidays and all, I didn't get a chance to update my findings. It no longer happens every time I turn in a quest, which only happened during one session oddly enough. As of now I suspect two other mods: SimpleCombatLog and Rep2, which can be found on the site. I'm playing one toon with SCL disabled and another with Rep2 disabled. Both have to do with the chat window, so I figured it's worth looking into. Unfortunately, both toons are getting no errors at the moment, so I can't say yet if it's one or the other, let alone either.

Thanks for the link, but I'm already aware of that information. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to debug something that happens at random with 100+ mods in use, and I update them daily. I'm still trying to find what's causing it. The edit of my previous post was just to inform that QuestObjectives wasn't the cause.

I've been getting this error for the past several versions:

Prat-2.0 54518.57072\Prat.lua:1417: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

It seems to happen at random when talking to NPCs (mainly vendors) and while in combat. It could be a conflict with another mod, as it seems that a friend whom is using the same version is not receiving the error. I'd list the mods I use, but it exceeds 100, mostly ace/rock. I haven't had any issues up until the past some odd weeks.

I think I found the culprit. It believe it's QuestObjectives for Cartographer causing the errors.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. The error still persists. I noticed I get it every time I turn in a quest.
