Glad to see its being taken over. It affects many addons and it would be a great loss to see it fade away.

Does overridesettings.wurm still work ok? I use it to build mod packs. So I have a couple copies of it.

    Actually I would use that.

I make our guild mod packs. I need to be able to update a set of mods that is not mine.

WUU did that for me very well.

I am trying curses and wowi. Curses is not super terrible but I still feel I don't really know what the heck its doing behind the scenes. WowI's is not very good. Maybe the new one will be better. But this only barely handles my needs not the mod packs. You come up with that solution and I would use it.

This is got to be frustrating for you. I really appreciate the time you put into this. Try not to see this as a end. I think we knew they were going to do something at some point. Now its done with and good to get it overwith. Now hopefully a permanent solution can be come up with in your new updater.

I use wowinterface alot. Their updater is buggy. Infact it had been Disc. But they don't have a new one.

I want wuu back. Its much better.

I like the ability to make a seperate copy of wuu and make another grouping.

Will curse updater allow the generation of mod packs?

Currently I use multiple copies of an updater to generate a few mod packs for my guild.

If Curse Updater does not allow this it is kinda worthless to me.

Right now my updater saves all its setup info in its own folder so it can be moved and each one its own settings.

Since Curse doesn't seem to have current versions of mods. Does anyone have suggestions? I am finding alot on wowinterface just not all.

Maybe not true but I feel like addons are being held hostage. I remember doing addons manually. I could never handle management of multiple guild mod packs, my own addons, beta server addons. I just want to update and play. Would even pay a small fee to curse if they let wuu work with them and ace. Would be worth it for me. I just don't see their manager doing the same job.

Mostly its the older wowace addons. The ones I get from curse are only a small amount.

I sure hope it can be made to work. Not sure what the alternative for me is. I don't see the curse client being it.

Maybe authors will move to wowinterface?

Unless they block it. I plan to use wow ui till they pry it from my cold dead fingers. I don't like being tied to one website. The ability of updating auctioneer and others from the source is awesome.

I can live with some of the programs personality. Thanks for getting it working with curse again!

Will the changes to Wowace and curse having their own updater affect Wowui?

Also curse is not updating for me also.
