Since posting this, I've tried almost every bag mod on Curse, including the all in one mods. While some of them do feature a display for # of empty slots, this display only works on the default blizzard frame for ALL of the addons I tried. I use macaroon. Inventory Hawk somehow managed to support Trinity/Macaroon, but nothing else seems to do so.

Nov 18, 2008update: found out that Macaroon doesn't support vehicle bars out of the box. You have to configure one. Its an easy 5 step process which I've been unable to test personally (dont have a vehicle or appropraite quest at the moment) but Im told works.Posted in: Addon Ideas
thanks for the assistance.
Nov 18, 2008According to his last post on Curse back in January, the author of Inventory Hawk will no longer update it - his account had been hacked and he was just going to quit wow because of it.Posted in: Addon Ideas
I use two functions of Inventory Hawk that I miss terribly now: an on-screen inventory tracker that you can customize to show quantities on hand. As an herbalist, I used it to show a running on-screen tally of what herbs I had and in what quantities. In the horribly bad example pic below, the top left (yellow text) is what Im referring to here:
Also, I used the function where a counter would display the # of available slots for each bag, which was very handy for knowing at a glance what bags were full and what bags had slots available. see pic below:
If there already exists addons that can offer both features, please post them for me.
Otherwise, I would greatly appreciate any addon devs to consider looking into picking up ownership of Inventory Hawk as it has been abandoned.
If not, if you are an author of an existing inventory mod, and would consider either of these features for your next release, I would be greatly appreciative.
Nov 18, 2008having a problem since the last update with tracker. Previously, as I moved from zone to zone, the tracker would update and show quests for THAT ZONE ONLY. Now it just adds quests and leaves them there eventually creating a tracker displaying 25 quests - a cumbersome mess. I have to constantly go into my quest log and manually uncheck any quests that are not in the zone I presently am questing in.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Is there something I need to check or fix so that it will automatically remove/add quests to the tracker as I enter/exit zones?
Nov 15, 2008I use a UI that hides the default blizzard frame. This means as a DK, any quest that pops up the new 'riding panel' is broken and I have to /quit and reload wow, then re-enable the default blizzard frame, and THEN retry the quest.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Quite a hassle since in just 30 mins, I've had 4 quests do this now.
Anyone have any handy addon that will generate this interface even with the default blizzard frame hidden? I presently use macaroon and it does not appear to have a bar that replaces this function.
Oct 19, 2008Im not well versed in all of this so please consider this post to be stereo-typical of the average "Joe the Addon User" who is confused about things right now.Posted in: General Chat
All over Curse.com there are new libraries being posted and new versions of old libraries being posted. There's even a new Ace (Ace3) recently updated.
So do we need to have Ace, Ace2, and Ace3 installed now? Does the new Ace3 mean we no longer need these individually updated libraries?
I currently have several versions of the same library now - Most addons will replaceme themselves when updated, but not libraries - they want to be listed as completely new addons anytime a new version is released.
Can anyone clear this up?
Oct 16, 2008Posted in: General ChatQuote from Kaeltenyou must not have been around for a while mate.
I've kicked all those off more than a month ago.
After the 2.0 patch, I went to files.wowace.com for all my updates and addons. Not until that was removed did I return to curse, grumbling and grinding my teeth all the way.
nice updater, guy.
Oct 16, 2008_ForgeUser307826 posted a message on latest CC: updates same 8 mods over and over and overIts running right now and seems to be stuck in this loop where it continues to download and install the same 8 addons over and over and over. I didn't even TELL it to do any updates. I simply signed in with username and password and it took off on its own and started updated mods. The log shows them being updated with the same versions in a non ending loop.Posted in: Updaters
I forced a shutdown of CC in task manager, and that action corrupted an addon.
Oct 15, 2008A big reason why I dont use Curse to update my mods is because the 'update addons' page is thick with "Pretty Ponies R Us UI" compilations for every 3rd 8-member guild that thinks for some odd reason, I would be interested in whatever convoluted jumble of addons makes their world go 'round and 'round. Im not. Im there to peruse the list of updated addons for that week. If your little sisterhood of the netherblend pants wants to distribute a new ui suite, use photobucket or email it to each other. Its just clutter that nobody outside of your tiny circle of e-friends is interested in. If this service DOES plan to host them, shuffle them into their own category and put them in their own 'updated' listing. So the rest of us can skip them.Posted in: General Chat
I swear some days, every other updated addon on Curse is Yet Another Compilation For Some Half Dozen Strong Joy Luck Club.

(Please do not take offense to this question)
can anyone vouch for the validity of this hosting?
