anyone know why some creatures and npcs that are targeted produce a broken 'full body' picture (sorry I dont know the proper term). Its the right creature, but instead of a full body portrait its a giant square that is zoomed in on the armpit or the elbow or something like that.
no real pattern in relation to the size of the mob. Some ogres do it, some are correct. Some of the little 'boy' npcs @ tournament do it.
Is it a problem with the game client itself, my installation, or with PB4?
There is no aura associated with levels of intoxication. It's probably possible to create a semi-accurate faux aura for them, but unless an addon explicitly does it then it won't exist.
wowmatrix did ultimately adhere to every major complaint from the community of authors, but they did so kicking and screaming the whole way - and waiting until mere days before Curse shut them out of their servers.
Compliance isn't good enough. Cooperation would have served them much better.
just returned last night after a multi-month hiatus. thanks to curse updater, all addon issues were quickly resolved.
however participating in brewfest i noticed that i didn't get a buff (debuff?) for any drunken state and I thought perhaps I should. I use Bison, and didn't see where I needed to add or enable any particular buff/debuff icons.
please consider my lack of expertise in any suggestions or answers you might have.
Hmm... there's already a MobInfo3, which allows for importing the old MobInfo2 data. So, now there's a newer MobInfo2 than the latest MobInfo3..? /sigh
If that's the case, it would seem better to pick up MI3 if it's indeed abandoned, or rename this new update of MI2 so people don't end up confused over which is actually newer (you know it will happen).
yeah I dont understand why a developer would see two distinct versions of the same addon - both abandoned - and decide to ressurect the old version.
but that's what happened. Mobinfo3 had ONE upload in January, and was never updated again. Whereas, Mobinfo2 now has someone updating it, but something went awry.
New dev recently picked up MobInfo2 and my Curse Client wont update - says that my version no longer matches the version on the Curse database. I dont want to remove and reinstall because I have accumulated mob info for several YEARS and were I to lose that data, there'd be practically no more point to even having the addon.
Is there a way to resolve this problem? Even if I manually install the new version, Curse Client still shows my current version as "dev" and reports there is an error and it wont install a new update.
I have not modified or edited any portions of the addon. Its worked fine without any need for that since I installed it years ago.
ps: I haven't tried Mobinfo3. Its been abandoned since January.
pps: dear mods: Im aware that I could fumble my own way through and 'remove it and see what happens' so thanks in advance for that stellar suggestion. Im hoping to obtain instruction or guidance before attempting any kind of 'russian roulette' suggestions.
In case you aren't able to get an old copy of SharedMedia to preserve the fonts you've been using in your UI, you can find links in that ticket to get your own personal copy of most of those fonts.
Please note that there's nothing wrong with distributing some of these fonts with an addon, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with using any of your personally licensed fonts in WoW. The author simply felt it would be easiest to avoid licensing issues altogether by not continuing to distribute fonts at this time.
Thank you. Its nice to know that there are folks reading this forum that dont mind offering help to others. Unfortunately, none of them appear to be moderators. The trolls own the bridge.
I have been having issues with the coordinates frame so I made some fixes in the coordinates.lua.
Attached Here is my fixed copy of coordinates.lua
Someone want to check it out and make sure I did the fix properly and didnt break anything else. Everything seems to work properly now on my end.
It fixes the moving and locking issues the coordinates frame has.
if it is a proper fix feel free to update it to the svn.
I'll give it a try. I had stopped using SexyMap because of this.
Also, it seems if you try to create a different layout for alts, it wrecks the whole thing.
I believe I have a fix for DogTags in PB4. I'm not going to push it right now because I need to do some more testing on it but here's the comparable timings from AV.
PB4+DogTags = 3.9583 seconds CPU / minute BG time.
PB4+LuaTexts = 2.1006 seconds CPU / minute BG time.
PB3+DogTags = 3.8070 seconds CPU / minute BG time.
The difference between PB3 and 4 with DogTags is small enough to be explained by simply differences in the BGs I ran. This narrows the benefit of LuaTexts. But there's still a clear difference.
This fix should certainly improve the situation for people that still want to use DogTags.
Please run tests using Pitbull4Dogtags + Cowtip, and Pitbull4Lua + Cowtip, and Pitbull3 + Cowtip?
I would greatly love to go back to using Cowtip, but found that I had to choose between that and Pitbull, and pitbull won. Once I switced to TipTac, my performance issues vanished.

I'd have to disable Pitbull4 as well because I think THAT is actually the program that is blocking the default buff display.
hey i got an idea. I'll roll a toon called AddonTester and just run bison alone.
:)

because I could potentially lose the fonts I have selected for my UI.
Think.

Its rather unfair to say someone 'broke' beta software, isn't it? :D
