Heh... The config screen with its brightly colored icons etc really make it appear a lot worse than it is in use, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I'll check out oUF...not terribly familiar with LUA, but if the concepts are well documented and simple enough to implement shouldn't be too much of a problem. For a while I was doing my best to apply bubblegum/bailing wire patches to DUF, but every 3.0+ patch that came out seemed to create newer and more complex problems. Its a shame really because of the umatched freedom and relative ease in configuration but theres been a LOT of great addons lost to LUA changes and author boredom, it happens. Usually a better replacement appears, just haven't found a UF Mod that lets me display all the information I'm used to seeing without being so drastically different or cumbersome.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out.

posted a message on Pitbull4 Layout Help
I'm trying very hard to replace DUF with a UnitFrame mod that works without any major issues. I've tried a few so far and not had any luck coming anywhere near close to being able to configure them to a layout similar to what I've used since BC launched.

This is what I'm trying to accomplish.

Full Version 1900x1200img w/ general outline of each frames.

I've figured out how to arrange the debuff/buff boxes and make the health/power bars go vertical, and how to move the various icons around. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to move the text fields to where I want them, or how to shrink them down and keep them legible like I could with DUF.

Is what I'm trying to accomplish even possible, or is there perhaps a better UF mod to attempt to configure?

    Thanks for any help.

posted a message on Instance Maps not Working
After the BT map addition more maps 'work' But half are garbled, chunks of the map scattered everywhere on the display screen.

It still does not throw any errors that bugsack grabs, but it definately is a useless feature ATM.

Why are we still getting told that there is no issue...every day more people chime in with the same problems...

Some maps don't display and once you find one that doesn't work, none of the others work.

Sporatically working for me. Doesn't throw a lua error that bugsack catches, but if I do a /rl sometimes I can get the instance maps to work sometimes they stop working after a few maps sometimes it doesn't work at all.

posted a message on Possible to move configuration back to dropdown menu?
I used to go into the menu consistently to change what Herbs/Quests I was filtering. Now I can't do that without completely covering the map. I like the idea of the unified Configuration screen, but if you're going to keep the dropdown menu on the map selection, why not use the same code for the in-cartographer settings?

Not sure if this is the correct thread to place this. Anyway, I was reading the Logs\FrameXML.log file today and I've found in there some entries regarding ItemSync. These don't seem to be related to any actual problem, as the addon is working perfectly for me. But maybe they're showing ways in which the code might be improved. For whatever they're worth then, here are the related lines:

    Hi,

I didn't have time to read through 34 pages of comments, so I don't know if this has been asked before.

Are there any plans to make Omen usable for healing threat too ? Because at the moment is not very usable for healers. I constantly switch targets and often i get the "Warning: Passed 90% of xxx's threat!" (where xxx is my current target) while my aggro not even close to tank's.

    Thanks

Coupla pages back now they explained that as of right now there is no way to make healing threat much more useful without way more guessing and a lot less certainty.

Maybe someone will come up with a truely ingenius method of calcing it in an efficient and effective manner...but as of right now, tracking per-target healing threat is virtually impossible.

That said, healers really shouldn't have to worry about their aggro THAT badly, or rather...the tank(s) should have way more aggro than the healers. *shrug* I play a tank and while I use Omen, the more I play tank...the easier it is to judge how much aggro I have on something without needing to watch the meter...and rare is it that my healer goes down unless I do. I guard them, for they guard me.

Just disable the warnings from the menu.

That's not the point of my question, is it ?

It shouldn't make up for 30seconds of delay...heck it might not even account for 1 second.

But if you look at that log file you'll see a TON of:
    8/5 23:05:00.410 Error loading Interface\AddOns\SpamSentry\libs\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua
    8/5 23:05:00.410 Error loading Interface\AddOns\SpamSentry\libs\AceOO-2.0\AceOO-2.0.lua
    8/5 23:05:00.410 Error loading Interface\AddOns\SpamSentry\libs\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua

If you are running WITHOUT externals (which I hope you are) you need to open the various TOC files and simply remove references to the files listed in the FrameXML log. (at least in regards to stuff like the Ace Libraries)

    SpamSentry.toc
    ColaLight.toc
    DeuceCommander.toc
    FuBar_ChatLock.toc
    Minimalist.toc
    Omnibus.toc
    SharedMedia.toc
    WhoLib.toc

As a footnote...this is perhaps the cleanest FrameXML.log file I've seen in a long time.

First load when logging onto WoW:

    7.143s Addon Loadup
    10.449s Warmup Garbage Collection
    8.388s World Entry
    25.980s Total Time

    146 Addon_Loaded

Seemed to take longer with WarmUp Profiling everything, but I believe thats typical behavior.

Hope these numbers were what you were looking for.
