    I did not upgrade to WotLK with the arrival of the expansion, and have hung my raiding swords on the wall to retire to private life.

    I've been getting a quite a few e-mails requesting that ORLIC continue on.

    If some member of the community is interested in taking over this mod, you have my blessing.

    (It's GNU, anyway).

    Btw it's confirmed that this problem is caused by someone running an outdated version of the mod. Sorry its not backward compatible in this respect.

    Your modified Core.lua is the right place, it does the leadership enforcement check there.

    If you want to do it more elegantly, consider incorporating this function:

    Occassionally some of the dependencies that get updated through WoWAce get broken by their respective authors and cause ORLIC to fail because its embeds download with them. I'll take a look into this later this week. I'm pretty sure the last version I uploaded was tested & working, but heh, who knows. Sometimes hanging out and updating other Ace2 packages you have will fix things.

    An interesting suggestion, although spammy, but I don't think I'll be supporting such a functionality.

    You see, it is meant to be loot system independent as I can make it, and everyone's position on an item may be more secret ballot on some systems than on others. I do plan on coming out with a loot transparency option, set at the disgression of the raid leader, that will allow the raid members to spy an item and who is expressing interest in it. Obviously, some guilds will want this option toggled "off" based upon how they distribute loot. That's their decision to make.

    It is extremely important to me that ORLIC never become a dkp system, but remain a loot communication system. At the same time, I want to keep it lightweight and effective. It's simple context menu driven style, I believe, is important in distributing loot fast and getting to the next pull. Guilds have dungeons to clear out and time schedules to keep. I have to make that work for them. You would be surprised how long people waste on splitting loot, which tends to be a pitfall of the less professional raiding guilds.

    ok, fixed up the bugs and tested it with the guildmates. Configurable interest keywords should be available now. The new version has been uploaded to the SVN.

    yikes, I've been busy. I also didn't think there would be the level fo interest, or even usage :) Getting testers in my guild is like pulling teeth, so its been slow. You'd think after all I've done for them? :)

    Anyway, put in some configurability and finally got some network tests going and it bugged, so no uploading that version to wowace :) I'll take a few more cracks at it this week and see if I can get it sorted out.

    You may be looking in some of the wrong places when searching for "Rogue."

    Consider unit frames instead, with good combo point support. I happen to like Pitbull's implementation.

    I've heard AuldLangSang (spelling?) is supposedly a social add-on that is used to deal with this kind of thing. I have not tried it, but it is a frequent answer I see to these kinds of questions.

    Now I'm sure there is a process described around here for getting your project on Jira, but I was stoned and I missed it.

    Although a developer such as myself probably doesn't have the project size, feature requests, bugs, and user base to use something as massive as Jira, it may be a reason why "more" Dev's don't use Jira (they were stoned and they missed it).

    The raid leader must uncheck "secondary loot mode" in his settings.

    This will remove those keywords altogether.

    If you actually want to change the keywords to something different, but keep a double-level interest option, well, umm..... hmm. Maybe I can add that in my next release.

    ORLIC has gone through some hard times in 2.4 due to some very subtle changes in itemstring changes (especially items linked off of a corpse window instead of a chat window, as there are refs to unique mob IDs, I assume for GM debugging use).

    I'm re-adapting the mod, and should have a fix out some time this next week.

    It would be neat if you could accept and give bad apple listings to people you know and trust.
