A couple of days ago, there was a new version: 1.8.12. Hooray :)
However, since 5.4 I'm still having a lot of lua errors, even with the new version:

how do I make grid show the 3 players in an arena match in a fixed position?
Right now, grid shows us like this:
me | mate1 | mate2
or like this:
me | mate2 | mate1
this sorting seems completely random. Is there a "sort players by name" or something like that?
I have targeting and dispel macros for all three of us, but as a healer it is driving me nuts that my two teammates are changing their position in grid every game.
Thanks :)
I'm leveling another char and I often have problems to find the right mob for my quest, because of the surrounding (trees, hills, bushes etc.) or because he is surrounded by many other mobs ("find orc X beetween groups of orc Y and Z).
I use "/target mob XY", but this often means: Now I know that there is mob XY in the area, but I still can't see him properly.
When I'm in a group, I can put a raid symbol over his head which is quite nice and clearly visible... but often I'm not in a group, so I can't do that.
When I'm not in a group, I disable the NPC names, so only the highlighted mob has a name over his head. This works better than looking for the small red/yellow circle on the ground, but it's still not that great.
Does anybody know if there is an addon which can help me to find the mobs I seek? Perhaps it would put a big symbol over the NPC's head, or show it's location on the minimap, or at least an arrow ("go to this direction to find the mob you seek").
Since WoW 2.4.2 I also have problems with Pitbull. I downloaded the latest version of pitbull, but this did not help.
- Sometimes buffs and debuffs are shown correctly, sometimes a couple of seconds later, sometimes not at all
- Often my target frame is not there at all
- Sometimes my pet frame is not there
- Often the bars in my frames (target, player, pet etc.) do not show the correct amount of health, mana etc. This means: The numbers (and Grid) say: I have 50% HP left, but the bars still show 100%
- The energy bar of my rogue ist stuck
- Sometimes it declares players as "offline" although they are not
My overall impression is that Pitbull has some really severe lags... like the frames get only updated once every 10 seconds or something like that. At other times, everything appears to be ok.
a friend of mine recently installed a FuBar all-in-one package. She says she can see now whenever somebody in the party completes a quest objective or finishes a quest. I'd like to install FuBar to get this, too, but she is not sure which part of FuBar is responsible for this.
Do you have any idea? My first thought was QuestFu, but I read the wiki entry and it seems I was wrong.
I try Cartographer atm and it looks very promising. But I have a couple of suggestions for the map notes:
1. Cartographer should remember which symbol I used last time and should use that one again. Right now, it chooses a symbol randomly, which gets a bit annoying, since I want all my quests to have a yellow star, the quest givers a green triangle and so on.
2. Make it so that you can paste a note more easily. Let's say: Ctrl+Shift right click to paste a note directly (without a menu popping up first). Then let it use the same symbol I used last time. And then make it so that I can confirm my note by hitting the "enter" button instead of using the mouse to click "okay".
3. Get rid of the "delete all notes" button in Cartographer preferences... or at least make a query after clicking "Do you REALLY want to delete all your notes?" It happened to me 3 times now that I changed the size of the icons, hit the big red "okay" button at the bottom of the options screen to shut the options window, and BAM! all my notes were gone. :(
4. I'd like to see a side list of all notes like in MetaMap. And when you click on one of these notes, it gets highlighted on the map.
I installed Cartographer, Cartographer_Import, Cartographer_Icons and Cartographer_Icons_MetaMapPack and put the Metamap.lua in the Cartographer_Import folder, but nothing happens at all. No messages saying that something gets imported, no map notes.
Can somebody help me? I don't care for the Metamap icons (since I only used one sort of icons), but I really would like to import my notes. I made a note for nearly every quest I solved.

my Grid used to show Pets in the same row as the owner, like this:
hunter | warlock | druid | paladin | mage | pet1 | pet2
But since one of the last wowmatrix updates, this doesn't work any longer.
Instead, I have now 2 rows:
hunter | warlock | druid | paladin | mage
pet1 | pet2
Does anybody know how I can change this to the old behavior?

I'm pretty happy, but how do I pull my own threat bar out? Or does this not work atm?

I deactivated the
but now I can't find any option to activate it again. I even reinstalled VanasKOS, but it the warning frame is still not there.

I disabled this temporarily, but I can't find where to enable it again.
Can you help me?

As my first addon I downloaded the most recent Pitbull version, but when I try to configure it, I get a couple of errors:
I guess the errors are a problem of pitbull itself, since I have a plain vanilla WoW 2.4 right now without any other addons or modifications.

I have an older version of Metamap (I think). All my Mapnotes are in the Metamap.lua and look like this:
