    posted a message on Why Acing/Rocking addons is good
    I personally prefer mods of which disabling/enabling it is your only option or a minimal option set in an intuitive frame, these mods once wrote (well) very rarely break, i.e Hide Gryphon, teknicolor (and pretty much all of tek's mods), Xart, View port type mods, Jim's Cooldown Pulse, cladhaire's stuff etc.

    I also don't like the idea addons which are modular when they don't actually need to be say Automaton (I think the name is) which is basically a compilation of other existing mods stuck together.

    but I can see the attraction of a central set of options through waterfall, and the lure of the autoupdating WAU seems to seal the deal. It's all about finding mods to suite your needs.

    posted a message on DND/AFK icons
    Quote from Phanx »

    You know, the first thing I thought when I read about the new ability to include icons in chat text (and raid warning messages) was "READING IS HARD LOL". I don't see any benefit at all to cluttering up the chat frame with icons. At best your idea makes it easier to see when an AFK person has messaged you without actually looking at the chat frame, and I don't know about you, but I don't think it matters if someone is AFK/DND flagged if they're sending you messages... especially if you're not actually reading the chat frame.

    Well thats a good point but I personally prefer pretty pictures to lots of text thus I use screenshots a lot, I'm not certain but I think the friends frame uses those global strings to display AFK/DND status as well and maybe tooltips, so the icons would give player status a IM feel.

    That'll be because I forgot to make it change the frame state at login.

    local _G = getfenv(0)
    local framelist = {
      "BuffaloButton0",
      "BuffaloButton1",
      "BuffaloButton2",
      "BuffaloButton3",
      "BuffaloButton4",
      "BuffaloButton5",
      "BuffaloButton6",
      "BuffaloButton7",
      "BuffaloButton8",
      "BuffaloButton9"
      }

    local f = CreateFrame("Frame")
    f:RegisterEvent("MODIFIER_STATE_CHANGED")
    f:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_LOGIN")
    f:SetScript("OnEvent", function(mod, arg2)
      if mod == "LALT" or mod =="RALT" then
        if arg2 == 1 then
          for _, v in ipairs(framelist) do
            _G[v]:EnableMouse(true)
          end
        end
       else
        for _, v in ipairs(framelist) do
           _G[v]:EnableMouse(false)
        end
       end
    end)

    Should work, *fingers crossed*.

    Ok I was using the wrong function try

    local _G = getfenv(0)
    local framelist = {
      "SageClickplayer"
      }

    local clickable = false

    SlashCmdList["CLICKTHROUGH"] = function()
      for _, v in ipairs(framelist) do
       _G[v]:EnableMouse(clickable)
      end
      if clickable then
       clickable = false
      else
       clickable = true
      end
    end

    SLASH_CLICKTHROUGH1 = '/clickthrough'

    it will only error if the name in framelist isnt a valid frame name.

    Oops Im a numpty

    instead of
    _G[framelist]:RegisterForClicks(clickable)
    it should be
    _G[v]:RegisterForClicks(clickable)

    Also are you sure the frame is called buffaloframe ? if not I would suggest downloading Where's my cow.

    I think you would use <Frame>:RegisterForClicks(nil) and then to set it back use <Frame>:RegisterForClicks("AnyUp"). So your mod would look like

    local _G = getfenv(0)
    local framelist = {
      "Frame1",
      "Frame2",
      "Frameetc"
      }

    local clickable

    SlashCmdList["CLICKTHROUGH"] = function()
      for _, v in ipairs(framelist) do
       _G[framelist]:RegisterForClicks(clickable)
      end
      if clickable then
       clickable = nil
      else
       clickable = "AnyUp"
      end
    end

    SLASH_CLICKTHROUGH1 = '/clickthrough'

    put your list of frames in framelist, then type /clickthrough to toggle clickability. This should work but I haven't tested it.
