BLeh I still haven't been able to find the reason why my mainbar disappears when I shapeshift on druid :( No replies in the other thread, but I see druids posting about using it so I guess there IS a solution? I play 8 chars and having to drop bartender because of one of them would be a shame, its really nice except for that druidstuff

You say it disappears, but are you sure? It is probably just swapping in the bonus bar and you don't have any spells on it. Try dropping your cat/bear form spells on it and see what happens.

My main is a Druid and it works fine.

I'm totally at a loss on what to try next. I don't see how anything that is stored server side could affect the addon but after wrestling with this for hours now I really can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Kramer

You could try deleting (make a backup first) the bad account's SavedVariables directory. Might be something bad in there somewhere.

Hrm, I'm not really into the coding aspect of it but I'm a very happy user of your addon. I'd like it to be able to work with more than just bar1 at a time. I for one have got four bars filled with stuff. With your new pagemaster (?) I could squeeze these into only TWO bars!

Conclusion: make it work with more than just one bar.
Actuly since you can page on shift, alt and ctrl it can combine that all into 1 bar now.

Yes exactly, I have bars 1-4 display on bar 1 and bar 5 showing independently below that. Ctrl, Shift and Alt get me access to 2-4.

This is a great tool, but for some reason it has recently stopped checking for anything past Prat. No errors, everything before gets checked just fine. It just says "Update complete!". Could this have to do with Prat having modules whose folders are named "Prat_Modulenamehere"?

I'm not sure what is causing this, but since Prat no longer has the other modules (look on files) you can delete them and it should let WAU keep going.

UPDATE: I checked with Cladhaire and these were incorrectly in the index file that I parse. He removed them and we should be good now.

To set things up per class I'd have to add babbleclass while not big it is yet anothe lib.  AFAIK the only time I'd need this is for druids due to to thier enegry type changing with form.  Not sure it worth the extra code atm.

I'm a druid and as long as there aren't any strange ill effect, I don't mind you not classing the tea. I don't have tea in my bags very often as a druid.

Much MUCH MUCH more than you can imagine :)  Dependancies are a simple matter to fix for me.

You mean they are simple because you leave them embedded where they belong, right?

actually, I didn't see anything about page changing, so maybe that will still work *shrug*

I would be very surprised if they made the ChangeActionBarPage function protected. Page-changing is a basic part of the built-in UI and is how many players drive their UI if they don't use mods.

Hm, my LocationFu provides a "Show minimap bar" option. Dechecking it hides the bar above the minimap.

Yep me too. I guess I wasn't explicit enough. Look in your menus luzienne.

    Hey Thirsterhall,

How about putting the button borders back on? Just the plain ones would be nice. :)

    Thanks!

Did you click through to the downloads or just read the v1.3 news headline? :)

I have one request, but I got no idea if it's technically doable:

For people who use 30+ Ace-Addons, unembedding the libraries is a very nice thing to do (dropped ~15s of my loading time). Yet, due to the sheer number of libraries, you're either looking at keeping 50+ Library-folders updated, or using the combined Libraries-zip, which a) contains stuff you don't need and b) is sometimes outdated (I think, at least I get problems with it I don't get with the separate folders).

    Now, my idea:
Would it be possible to have AceUpdater poll the installed addons for their externals, and automatically download them from the SVN if they need an update?

I guess it's not doable (or a §%&$ of work), but just curious ^_^

To answer your question, it is technically do-able, but in my opinion not practical. As Tekkub points out, the only reasonable way to do this would be to parse the TOC file and depend on mod authors keeping the Depends and Embeds tags set up propertly... which they aren't for LOTS of mods.

So, I'm not going to go this way. If you want to take a stab at it, the source is up on sourceforge.net. I think it is a crappy problem, and it will never be 100% reliable.

And if it isn't 100% reliable it isn't going to be worth it to save 15 seconds of startup time. Honestly, I'm surprised you (or anyone else for that matter) choose to incur the headache of separating out the libraries just to save yourself 15s of load time once or twice a day. I mean, how often do you actually cycle the game? Compare that with how much time you have to spend chasing down broken dependencies when something goes wrong.

No thanks. Fifteen seconds is a tiny price to pay to not have to deal with that.

    YMMV

I was happy using the old version, and just upgraded to 1.4 to find that the option to turn off downloading of libs/externals has vanished.

What's the reasoning behind that? I like to manage the libs myself, so having to delete them manually after every update is more work than just downloading from /files/ myself.

It wasn't deleted, I just pulled it out of options and created a separate menu item for it. Look in the File menu.

Greetings, i want to switch from Bongos to Bartender due to less memory usage and sheer good look of the addon but i have some kind of problem.
Is there any way to bind the buttons from any other bar besides bar1?
I've been looking for some kind of option but to no avail..

You mean bind to keyboard? Just use the built in keybinding stuff. Bartender just reuses those.

Wobin: Use vim at work :P I believe you can embed it into a .net editor, ask around in #vim on freenode ^^.

Yeah, it is called ViEmu and I use it. Not bad, but also not all of Vim and not actually embedded Vim, more like an emulation of Vim.
