    Sorry but ill be the first one to say this.

    STFU!

    The world doesnt need more ace. Can't you understand that it's the work of the people that use ace to make their mods is the great stuff? Only because we all use ace its proving to be more resource friendly. It doesnt work like that when you only use one mod + ace. Ace isnt a brand >_<. Furthermore you can make great AddOns without ace, and really crappy ones with ace. Your view is skewed.

    Edit: Sometimes im a meanie
    Edit2: This doesnt mean no-one should make a mod that does this using ace

    Hey, why don't you wipe the foam from your [edited] mouth and reread it the way was intended? Namely, as a slightly humerous attempt at providing a reason for someone to make an ACE BuffMod, as I feel that's the one thing that UIs are lacking - customizable buffbars?

    Don't lose any sleep over it, and be sure to see your doctor for some meds to keep your blood pressure in check.

    I know it's a big no no to call an executable from a mod, but I know Blizzard allows a mod that controls Winamp from within WoW (that uses an exe) and I was wondering if it's possible to write something that could display the current local temperature, maybe in a minimap bubble.

    The mod to control Winamp doesn't work any longer, Blizzard removed the method that they were using to do that a while back. There isn't a way to do it any longer. If you really want to be able to get information like that, and more, and control Winamp/etc. then you can look into a keyboard that does all that like Tekkub said. Of course that costs money, but I for one absolutely love my G15 keyboard with LCD that can show you all of the system information you like.

    It's running around $50 I believe now and does everything.

    Does that NICE looking keyboard require a humongous load of services running in the background, as well as call back to Logitech and let them know what you had for breakfast?

    Well, if a reason is needed, a reason you will get, other than "just 'cause the world needs more ACE." :)

    Because a slim ACE mod could no doubt finally bring some configurability into WoW UIs concerning buff frames. Spice things up - while staying clean and ace'y while doing it. Currently, you're stuck with Gypsy's core and stuff too if you want just the buff frames. Which aren't really configurable at all. Same thing with CTMod's frames, which I currently use. Have to have the core, too.

    Oh.....God.

    I was too humbled to request this, thought it would be a looot of work. But since ArcaneTrickster bit the bullet for me;

    Yes please!!

    I use a cobbled together HUD, in which I have some CTMod too. Just for the BuffMod and ItemBuffs.

    Just curious what you removed.
    MMSplashFrame:AddMessage(self.dodgeSpam, 1, 1, 0, 1, 2)

    This. Accomplishes what I requested in your thread, no big ass Mongoose Bite!!!! notification on dodge. Was more of a guess than anything, usually when I try stuff like that in addons, I break them. :(

    Damn, yours looks really nice and unique Steve!

    Don't have an account over on WoWI Cladhaire, so hope you'll read my "feature request" (such a big word, just would be nice if it were in there) here; debuff stack count on debuff icons. For example, Sunder. Have to mouseover to look and see how many sunders are done, as it stands.

    Icons are the memory-expensive way of doing things? If so, never mind then - but otherwise, a wee tiny Status icon would be nice. I just don't have the space to include Status text inside my WD bars. Doesn't fit anywhere without the whole getting cramped.

    Cladhaire, just...thank you. I am now using WatchDog. I wish I had ALWAYS used WatchDog, and I am not even done setting it up yet.

    Yesterday my brother said, when we and a few friends were talking about MMOs and the 'upcoming' MMO shooter Huxley, "aren't you ever afraid that there's this godlike game out there, and you're missing it because you don't know it exists?". Well, I'm not but now I know I should've been scared of missing out on great mods - such as WatchDog. Screenie coming up, for those who care!

    --edit--

    I'm so happy. This is what I was looking for.
    Buff and debuff icons moved using Visor, quite simple if you parent (for example) WatchDogFrame_party1_Buff1 to WatchDogFrame_party1, and nudge. A sleek XP bar would be nice though. The Shaman's name being 'shamanblue' is ofcourse incidentally, all smartclass names are that color blue for me. Thanks again!

    Greetings!

    Maahe would love to know if somewhere out there, be it Ace or not (though preferrably so), exists a HUD modification that creates nothing more than a few clean, sleek, simple unit frame bars. I'm tired of all the unneeded fluff... Maahe doesn't need to know what kind of hat a person is wearing, or what their minion is feeling, or what their reaction towards me is, or what they had for breakfast. The only thing I want to see is a small unit of 2 bars per player -life and energy-, with small buffs below and debuffs below that - four "lines" total, as well as small status icons scattered around. No borders, no frames, no padding/spacing, no nothing whatsoever.

    CastParty in its most basic incarnation kind of looks like this, but there was something crappy about it... It's been a while. Currently, I use Discord Unit Frames, because it gets closest to my Perfect Unit Frame Mod.

    The character icons were added on a whim, I've played for close to a year without. Just.....bars, Maahe wants, nothing more. With text inside the bars, depicting info specific to that bar. Like, this;

    You're probably laughing by now, thinking "Oh my, what's this figure on, it's EASY to get party frames like that, so simplistic!". Well, that's what one would think. To me it's Holy Grail number something. I find it ironic that to get the most simple bars possible, I have to use the biggest, bloatiest unit frame addon out there. :)

    Any info would be madly appreciated - you'll gain one cow's undying love. Thanks in advance!

    What Industrial MIGHT have meant, is that one could always try the Search function. The button is a little bit up, at the center. I didn't know the first thing about ACE-AutoBuff - one minute later, I do. Could also be he or she referred to your butchered sentences though. ;) Then again, that's not really un-forum'y at all.

    Because I'm such a nice, nice person: look here.
