The only other addon I can think of, that would scan talents is GettingThingsHealed, a healer assigment addon. I will try to disable that and see if it helps.
Some map buttons will show when logging on even though set to not appear...going into sexymap config and disabling "let sexymap control button visibility" and subsequently enabling it corrects this.
I don't have any vehicle gadget right now...not sure if this is connected to sexymap or not...
Still having some problems, that have been there for a while now:
Sometimes I log into the game and the whole bag seems to be disabled (all slots show icons but are darker than usual and items can't be moved. Relog helps...
Sometimes the items stick to a slot. When trying to drag and drop them I can hear the dragging "plop" sound but the icon stays in the slot...
Are these known problems or is there something wrong with my game instance?
I am currently not able to play because of work, but I will try to troubleshoot some more on the weekend...
I am quite sure though that I can rule out background programs and Aliasing problems just because nothing in my system has changed in these terms and it ran very smoothly for a very long time...
The problem with debugging this is the time it takes for this to happen, as I said it only occurs after about an hour of gameplay. That also rules out crosschecking with another game (since I simply can't just sit and play trackmania for a couple of hours right now ;))
I will report back as soon as I know more though...
this might sound like strange question but here I go:
I recently upgraded my CPU, mainly because WoW scales very good with CPU performance.
All is well BUT I get strange behaviour since a couple of days:
I get very steady FPS - there are times though, mostly in raid situations where the game display seems to "lag" so to speak. To exxagerate: I move the mouse and the screen moves a little later - when rotating the camera. This is all well in the millisecond range - definitely not noticable when looking at the screen, but when playing and moving the mouse oneself it "feels" wrong. This effect occurs after playing for a while and seems to fluctuate (sometimes it seems worse infight).
Working in computer science and being a little paranoid I suspected this to be a faulty CPU, but:
the system is very stable (primestable for a couple hours)
all other applications seem to run fine (although I don't really play much apart from WoW)
The temperatures (CPU and GPU) seem to be fine, I hoped that the effect was because of the heat outside.
Another strange thing is that an UI reload seems to fix the problem for a while (this might also cool down the hardware components because of the load screen though so I can't be sure)
I also had 2 WoW crashes (#132) in the last weeks - with not having any for a long time before.
My question would be: Could an addon initiate such behaviour? (like a message queue running full or similar) I have seen addons crash WoW, so I suspect this could happen. I recently added Magic Targets and some more addons to my addon pool so I am not sure.
Another very strange fact: the FPS seem to be stable even when this "lag" occurs, or so FRAPS says...
If anyone has experienced similar effects in the past or has any ideas I would be very glad for any suggestions
If you install a new version manually (or with another updater program) the Curse Client will not be able to tell that you have the new version; it will assume that you still have the last version it installed.
Thanks for your quick answer Phanx,
When switching to CC I reinstalled all addons using the CC. So the problems shouldn't be from not identifying manually installed addons. I will try to switch back to beta though, I wasn't really sure as to how the new release/alpha/beta states were defined.
Still, even when set to alpha, my addons should have updated correctly, right?
My CC does seem to have stopped updating addons. There were a bunch if cases where a new version was online on Curse but the Client didn't seem to notice. Auto Updates is still turned on (might this be the mistake? is the premium "trial" time over?)
Another question then would be: If i turn to manual updates will addons with new version be marked in the list? Also if they are set to alpha?
Also will there be an option to include the build and/or version number in the addon list to quickly see which one I have and which one is available?
If I am just missing already included features please feel free to flame me, I am trying very hard to give the CC a chance but these points make it really hard for me at the moment.
We use DKPMon with our raid for exactly the same purpose:
Raid leader has DKPMon and manages DKP. Raid members have Bidder to check their DKP status...we don't use automatic bidding at all...worked liked a charm so far
found your addon yesterday and I must say that I really like it. Some questions though:
Using my Enh. Shaman:
- I get unexp. Mainhand buff (WF)...correct?
- if I shift-rightlick there are no whispers, but messages like "no buffer found for ***"
- is there an option to check for ONLY guardian OR battle elixir (normally only use AGI on my shaman)
I am not sure but you might be referring to the addon PerfectRaid, which is not hosted here. Although the author, cladhaire, reads these forums it might be best to ask here:
The standby command was supposed to be used to completely set the addon sleeping. This never actually worked as intended and was therefore removed afaik.
With LazySync turned on our Raid gets funky numbers from time to time (Like a tank synching in a huge amount of heal from one second to the other, making him the top healer). If this is addressed already, please ignore this post ;)

you're right, sorry:

When clicking refresh only my own talent spec displays after a while, whole raid stays at "?".
Also tank detection via ora2 doesn't seem to work for me, tanks get announced when breaking sheeps...
What am I doing wrong?
