posted a message on MOVE WOW TO ANOTHER DIRECTORY THAN PROGRAM FILES AND RUN IT FROM THERE
    Quote from nykspree8 »

I seem to have done everything posted here. I moved the WoW folder to the C: directory and changed the path where WAU installs things too and nothing. Like i said in a previous post, the addons show up when i click on the addons button on the character select screen, but when i get in the game im just staring at the default ui. What is the issue here?

I've been having that problem lately too.
I just assumed that it had to do with the curseforge transfer, and that all the currently listed addons were "voided", giving you a standard ui in return.
I never bothered to check up on it tho, so that might not be the case.

If it is working for other people then it's just something wrong with your/my setup.

posted a message on Tradeskill walkthrough
I'm looking for/requesting/submitting an idea for/about an addon that will, as the title says, give you a walkthrough for a tradeskill.

    By this i mean..
It will make a list of what to make to level your profession to the desired skill level, listing the cheapest way to do so - based on the current AH values of each item.
It should be able to list alternate ways to level up. One for "hard to get" crafts, and one for trainer only(or let the player chose what crafts should be available for price comparison.

I'm not a good(read:no friggin clue:P) lua programmer, so i don't think i'd get far with this if i tried.
For those that don't know already, wowhead.com has a super way of displaying tradeskills(or other items/spells/etc for that matter) just as a reference.

Preferably, in it's complete form, this addon would display what to get from the AH, then where to buy the vendor items, then when you have the needed items, say how much to craft of each item to get the best "bang for your buck" - so to say.

If this is something that has already been made, i 'just haven't found it yet and any clues on where to get it would be nice ;)

    Edit:
If you should decide to pick this idea up as a project, please make it known.
Would be a bit of a waste if multiple people worked on separate projects based on the same idea without knowing about the others.

posted a message on Where to download FuBar?
Alternately you can download and use the "WowAce Updater" program. It can be found on the main page.
It read the index of files.wowace.com and list them in a convenient little program that allows you to select one or more addons and simply click a button to install them to your wow folder.

In my opinion this is the easiest way to keep your Ace addons up to date, especially since you don't have to manually download one and one addon.

Atleast the hellfire(stadium, overlook and broken hill) and terokkar forest(spirit towers, altho they are all named the same so makes is impossible to know wich one it taken) are broadcast through world defense.

Think it should be possible. There was one addon for something similar a while back, but it sadly only works with titanbar, and the original project has been abandoned. The "new" author hasn't made any plans of making a fubar plugin for it.

Nono, not thinking of the "how many guards are left" and such. Just who is in control of the towers.
That should be possible by hooking lines from the worlddefense where it says "<faction> has taken control of <location>." and then just checking if the same location has been taken back and list it in the addon interface.

Any news or updates on the progress of this?
I'd really like a world pvp notifier that monitors the worlddefense channel as described by the OP, where you can just mouse over the addon and see that for instance the stadium in hellfire was captured by the alliance 5 min ago, and there haven't been any change to it since that time.
