posted a message on Shadowed Unit Frames [official]
I assume you guys are keeping http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13494-ShadowedUnitFrames.html#info updated with the latest versions?

I update all my addons through WoWInterface, and it's greatly appreciated that the page there seems to still be being maintained, not just the WoWAce page.

    Thanks!

posted a message on WoW UI Updater 1.9 Thread (Windows/OSX/Linux, multiple sites)
Just posting to show some love for WUU, my favorite addon updater ever!

Been using WUU ever since WAU went offline, so it's been quite a while. I love the independent nature of it (not tied to 1 site), and it JUST WORKS.

Love the 1 button update, being able to choose to update or not, checking online versions, color coding, etc. I also love that it doesn't try to take over my computer/spam me with ads or donate buttons/etc.

Love the easy updating of the WUU program itself.

It's just a great program in general, thanks for making/maintaining WUU!

    -----

@Wowace people: I know you're basically the same as the Curse people now, hurry up and fix your site so that WUU can use it automatically again already! >:( It's been forever, you can't figure out a way to let WUU through and block Wowmatrix (if people are even still using that POS)? I have to get most of my addons from WoWInterface, though there are a few that are only on Curse.

    -----

Feature request that I just thought of. On the side pane where it has author and other information, would it be possible to pull some data from the websites about an addon's changes? Most places like WoWInterface and Curse have a "changelog" tab or page, could you pull the text from there and display it in WUU?

There are a few addons out there where you don't want to always update the moment you see a new version (buggy, unofficial user fix version like SCT has, potentially unstable, don't want the new features like Gearscore has, etc). I've been manually checking the addon websites for any problematic versions, but if I could see that info in WUU directly, that would be amazing.

    Thanks!

IS this working in 3.2? All of a sudden my tooltips are all default, absolutely no functionality.

Well, CowTip still isn't working, and it's been an entire major patch cycle.

What's up with this? Anyone got a working tooltip addon?

What libs do I need in the cowtip folder?

    Quote from garfi

What I'm looking for is a display of queue times and via tooltip the option to queue/leave queues.

Yes, same here. All I use BGFu for is tooltip display of how long I've been in what queues, and right click with the options to leave queues/enter battle.

But I use that A LOT. I hate the default battleground option, it gets covered up so much, and is very inconveniently placed!

A 3.2 capable LDB addon with this functionality would be AMAZING, as I'm switching over to it after half my Fubar addons finally broke w/ 3.2 and are no longer being supported.

Is this mod still being developed? Thanks for pointing it out at least!

Are you being coy? Why not just say "Hey you forgot to update Prat on WoWI"

No. Was just trying to show that I'm not one of those people that says "oh I have the latest version" when I really don't.

I just changed a single option:

chat formatting > PlayerNames > "Level Color Mode"

Changed it from "Color by Level Difference" to "No Additional Coloring."

This immediately fixed player class colors (turned it off/on twice, so it is definitely that option).

Your not using the latest version for some reason.

On another note, the default UI will color names now on its own, I guess I should tell you that - sort of a disclaimer I guess

Just checked the TOC file in my addons folder, it's 3.1.5.

Also, where's the option for that coloring? I can't find it in social or features. It might be something like Aloft, where I have to enable class colored nameplates in both the Blizzard option and the Prat option.

What version of Prat are you running?

Make sure you're up to date.

Just ran my WUU, so it's the most recent version on WoWInterface as of.... 50 minutes ago.

Prat's name coloring seems to be broken in 3.2:

    [2009/08/05 18:13:49-2984-x20]: Prat-3.0-3.1.5 \modules\PlayerNames.lua:2305: attempt to call global 'GetDifficultyColor' (a nil value)

This is the rest of what Bugsack says:
    Prat-3.0-3.1.5 \modules\PlayerNames.lua:2527: in function `FormatPlayer'
    Prat-3.0-3.1.5 \modules\PlayerNames.lua:2777: in function `?'
    CallbackHandler-1.0-3:291: in function <...mes\libs\CallbackHandler-1.0\CallbackHandler-1.0.lua:291>
    <string>:"safecall Dispatcher[4]":8: in function <[string "safecall Dispatcher[4]"]:8>
    <in C code>: ?
    <string>:"safecall Dispatcher[4]":26: in function `?'
    CallbackHandler-1.0-3:181: in function `Fire'
    Prat-3.0-3.1.5 \addon\addon.lua:1053: in function <Interface\AddOns\Prat-3.0\addon\addon.lua:939>
    (tail call): ?:
    Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:2288: in function `ChatFrame_OnEvent':
    <string>:"*:OnEvent":1: in function <[string "*:OnEvent"]:1>

It's extremely annoying because every name is suddenly back to coloring with everything else like it is with default chat. I'm so used to Prat's class coloring that I can't stand it. :(

On the contrary, I love the separate icons, when I'm looking for friends I want it to be ONLY friends, and only guildies when I'm looking at the guild list.

Makes the tooltip WAY too huge otherwise, I never used Auld Lang Syne Fu for exactly that reason.

    -----------

Also, in 3.2 both FriendsFu and GuildFu tooltips are broken. Clicking on them opens up the correct windows, but there's no tooltip when I mouseover them.

This is the error I get:
[2009/08/05 18:05:52-2983-x1]: AuldLangSyne-r71502\FriendList\FriendList.lua:133: attempt to call global 'GetDifficultyColor' (a nil value)

[2009/08/05 18:03:36-2983-x8]: FuBar_GuildFu-2.4.2-113\FuBar_GuildFu.lua:771: attempt to call global 'GetDifficultyColor' (a nil value)
