Anyone have a chance to look at this and see what's making it do the difficulty switch twice? Appreciated.

I apologize if this has been asked before, I couldn't find any reference to it. I just switched from sraid to grid. I like grid a lot but there are two "status" things I miss from sraid. I liked being able to see when the warrs were using last stand and shield wall. Perhaps I'm blind, but I can't seem to locate any way to designate this as an indicator in grid. Does it exist or is it possible that it will in the future?

    Thanks!

You can add your own personal selection of buffs and debuffs to Grid.
Grid -> Status -> Auras -> Add New Buff/Debuff -> Type in exact name like Last Stand
If you misspell it, it will not work.

Once they have been added, you can select to display them however you see fit. Example:
Grid -> Frame -> Center Icon -> Check Buff: Last Stand

That will then make the center icon display the Last Stand buff when it is on that person. If you'd prefer to make a certain corner icon light up or have the frame border change color, it's whatever you want. I believe the Bottom Right Corner is not used by anything, by default, so that would be a good corner to use.

If you wanted a different color for the border or the corner, you can change that back under:
    Grid -> Status -> Auras -> <name> -> Color

I'm looking for a way to make a Grid layout with a separate column for the Main Tanks specified by the CTRA/oRA2 MT targets. The 'By 25 and Tanks' layout that you get in GridLayoutForHealers separates out a column using groupFilter = "WARRIOR" so you end up including DPS warriors and excluding ferals (or paladins..).

There was some talk in the modules thread about adding this functionality, but it looks like the person who was working on it abandoned the idea.

I don't believe there is a layout filter option related to MT target. There is a layout filter of "nameList," so you could just set up a layout with a list of who the MTs could be - including feral druids and prot pallies.

posted a message on oRA2 auto set Dungeon Difficulty plugin
In the same vein as that other little silly plugin I wrote, this one will automatically set the Dungeon Difficulty when you form a raid.

If you are like me and forget to change it from Heroic, your raid members can not zone into places like Gruul or Karazhan until the Dungeon Difficulty is set to Normal. This little guy will fix all that by automatically setting the the difficulty to whatever you select (defaults to Normal). Yay, less looking stupid for me.

Once again, if Ammo or another kind oRA2 developer would consider adding this into oRA2 like the last one, that would be great. I tested it briefly and haven't noticed any problems with it except that when you form a raid it will say something like:
15:20:40 Dungeon difficulty set to Normal (All saved instances have been reset)
15:20:40 You have joined a raid group
15:20:41 Dungeon difficulty set to Normal (All saved instances have been reset)

If you want to add it to your copy of oRA2 don't forget to add "Difficulty.lua" to the Leader.toc and "Leader\Difficulty.lua" to the oRA2.toc. File is attached.

Hello, i'm currently trying out grid and there is one thing i just can't get figured out, i've seen grid setups where the name of the player would be placed at the top of the box if that player died it would just say dead below the name. ATM the mod just replaces the name with DEAD if a player has died in the raid.

If anyone could help me get this setup that would be great thanks :)

Under the advanced options there is an option to have two center texts, instead of one.

With the two center texts selected, you can then set center text one to be player name. And center text two to be the DEAD option.

I don't get the meaning of the last three numbers. the first is the duration of the debuff, of course, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th I dont understand, theres no real sense for me (of course there is one, but i dont get it ^.^)

the last three numbers are the color of the bar.

any reason this addon uses a trash libray (CastCommLib) that broad casts the casting events over the addon channel??
    it's stupid and unNessisary.

with the change in 1.12 the time for each cast is now included as arg2 in the event

It's used to show Incoming Heals. I'm not sure how the spell cast time is related to this feature.

    Shadowfiend
    Rank 1
    30 yd range
    Instant cast
    5 min cooldown

Creates a shadow fiend to attack the target. Caster receives mana when the Shadowfiend deals damage. Lasts 15 sec.

Would be nice to see this in there

Just needs to be added to the Priest.lua file.

      self:AddTimer(self.SPELL, BS["Shadowfiend"], 15, 1,0,0)

      self:AddTimer(self.EVENT, BS["Clearcasting"], 15, 0,1,1, { a=1, tx="Interface\\Icons\\Spell_Holy_Fanaticism" })
      self:AddTimer(self.EVENT, BS["Touch of Weakness"], 120, 1,0,0, { a=1 })

It becomes painfully obvious if you watch the first Curse of Doom timer disappear with 30 seconds still left to go, while the target remained Hydross and the debuff is clearly not knocked off. Can anyone please address this?

I don't think Bhattu is actively developing this anymore.

My biggest thing is that when I set the Health Bar to change colors based on things like Aggro, Incoming Heals, Range and Target, it correctly changes color, except the health bar stops reporting that person's health. This really confused me for a while. Is it possible to change this?

I played with Grid settings and made it so it colored the health bars green when there was an incoming heal. It did not stop reporting the health, though. By default, Grid will put a small colored square in the various corners to report this information, though.

For the love of god I cannot get the Frame Alpha option to do anything, no matter what I do. I've spent a huge amount of time trying to see what this does, and it never does anything. I've had everything checked inside the Frame Alpha menu, one at a time.

If you check "Out of Range" under "Frame Alpha," then when a person is more than 30 yards from you, their frame will become slightly transparent. If you select "Death warning," then people who are dead will have a slightly transparent frame.

It would be very handy if I could change the background color behind the healthbar. The black area when Invert Bar Color is On, and the darkly colored area when it's Off. It might even be cool to use it as an Indicator. Is this what Frame Alpha's supposed to do?

Currently there is not an option to change that. The differing colors are supposed to help you visually see a person's life percentage. Half full (or half empty, depending on how you set it), they are at half life. Frame Alpha works as described above.

I think the biggest thing that would make the Menu more intuitive and easy to learn is to get rid of the Status menu, and embed it into the Frame menu, if this is possible. It seems like this would make more sense, it's the hardest part of explaining this mod to other people.
For example: Frame -> Border -> Aggro Alert (as a checkbox) -> Status options, like range, color and priority.
That way you could customize it per Indicator, and have additional customization. Like if you set Center Text -> Out of Range on, you could customize the text to something other than OOR.

Having the Status menu separate let's you change the way a status is displayed across the entire addon. There are plugins for Grid that can give you additional functionality, if you want.

For convenience, it would be nice if there was a /grid menu command or something to bring up the menu without needing to access Grid's minimap icon. I've got my minimap icons as not-there as I can get them.

Typing /grid does give you a text menu. Do you want a slash command to open the minimap/fubar button?

    Hi again.

I'm using Dotimer to tracks my DOTs and renews (I've got both a disc/holy and a shadows priest). Well, trying to use it actually, because Dotimer only sees spells cast on blizzard frames, not spells cast on grid frame.

    - is there any way I can fix that locally ?
    - is there any other similar addon that works with grid ?
    - is that a grid or dotimr issue ? who shoudl i bug about it ? :-p

Thanks again a very great addon :-)

I use Chronometer with Grid and it works pretty well. It's not 100% on things like Shadow Vulnerability, but the rest of the stuff is usually dead on.

Hm, thanks for the replies on that one. I'm surprised there's no mechanism in these packages for various clients to coordinate and make a decision as to who is the broadcaster. Ah well, what can ya do? Thanks!

it was brought it up around september of last year. it hasn't been added yet, though. -> http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=1762.msg42196#msg42196

What about Litmus? It's like an emergency monitor for mana, shows who is innervated as well.

If I was a Druid, I'd use this. Being a Priest, I just look at XRS to see how raid healer mana is doing.

If you know the name of the debuff, you can add it to Grid. Then select for the center icon to also show that new debuff. I've done this with a number of debuffs that I wanted to monitor for Karazhan.

Like Moroes's Garrote, Big Bad Wolf's Red Riding Hood, Illhoof's Sacrifice, etc.
