This appears with 1.12 WoW version.
Your target are out of reach for this spell.
Which makes no sense. The single person buffs have a 30yd range and as you can see from the picture, those do not have the dot. The group buffs, which have a 40yd range, do have the dot.
In the screenshot, I also had RangeRecolor running, and none of the buttons were colored red. The person I had targetted was probably about 20yds away.
I'm using Bartender2 with the DreamLayout and FuBar plugin. I will sometimes get these little dots in the upper right hand corner of my buttons, not sure what they are. When I'm playing my Priest I will sometimes see them on buff spells and Mind Control. Usually not other spells, though.
Attached a screenshot of this. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them would be appreciated.
"Indirect" (event-based) buffs - These ones are tricky. Shadow Vulnerability is the worst one, since both Warlocks and Priests have a debuff with that name, but other ones are bad too (Inspiration, the Greater Heal 8/8 Transcendence renew, Healing Way, etc.).
If it helps, the Priest and Warlock Shadow Vulnerabilities have different debuff icons.

So yeah, those event-based buffs/debuffs are tricky as hell, and I'm not entirely sure how to handle them at this point. Suffice it to say that it's on my TODO list, and I'll try to come up with something that will at least be mostly-accurate.
It's quite workable as is. Players just have to recognize that this will happen. The 100% idea sounds pretty good, players will just have to watch the enemy debuff bar and notice if their debuff gets pushed off or if it was resisted on casting. I'm going to keep my 2nd Priest alt specced Shadow just to keep testing the timers.
Thanks for adding the 8 piece Transcendence bonus. Looks like your recent changes have fixed all the priest timers.
I'm not sure if it's even possible to track these things, but I've noticed that with a Priest with r12897:
Once you have 5 Shadow Vulnerability debuffs stacked up from Shadow Weaving, the timer no longer resets on re-cast of a shadow spell.
Inspiration does not reset the timer if you get another crit while the timer is up.
The Greater Heal named bonus Renew from 8 piece Trans does not reset timer when re-cast while the timer is still up.
I went through as many Warrior abilities as I had access to and I didn't notice any problems with them.
Any thoughts to adding in timers for Racial abilities? Not the cooldowns, but the ability itself. Or would this be something covered by HostelBar instead?
edit: of course it's covered by HostelBar, i'm just a nub.
A few questions, as I'm not playing a Shaman and assumed this already works:
1) what's the EXACT spellname you're using to clean, including rank?
2) what's the EXACT debuff name on the person that is MCd?
3) which border color does that debuff have?
4) which wow client language are you using?
thanks.
Don't play a Shaman either, but if this helps:
1) Purge - both Rank 1 and Rank 2 have the same mana cost, so I'd think Shaman would just use Rank 2 all the time.
2) Dominate Mind
3) It's a Magic Debuff, sorry don't use the default blizz frames and I've never seen the border color. Aren't Magic Debuffs blue, though?
4) This is with enUS client.
One problem with something like that is that Bosses will often turn and target someone to cast a spell on them. ie Vael putting Burning Adrenline on a mana user, Gehennas's random shadow bolts, etc.
These are not aggro pulls, but other addons that try to alert you when you have aggro will show such Boss spell targetting as aggro.
Alright, and SCT:ShowMenu() for Scrolling Combat Text. Thanks Claidhaire, I'll just muck through some .lua files and try to figure out which things I was looking for.
I was asking because I briefly played with Natur's Enemy Castbars and there was a slash command to reset a timer. I was experimenting with using Clique to cast HoTs and get NECB to reset the timers in a way I liked. Ended up just using AceTimer instead.
You can't call macros. You'll need to find the underlying functions being called, i.e. anything after /script, etc.
As an example, if I wanted to open the WatchDog menu through a frame click, instead of using /wd what would I put in the custom? What would be the best way to find which function to replace a /wd type of slash commands with?

Isn't it 6 minute? Either way, I'd be interested in optionally seeing it.

"/xad quite" i think this should be "quiet"
if you could add these to your laundry list of feature requests:
ability to set alpha
ability to set button padding
i personally prefer the buttons with the border off, so thank you for making that change. although it sounds like some enjoy their borders on.

alt + right-click on it, or some combination like that. maybe ctrl + right-click.

Again, great addon.

If I knew what I was doing, it would be Ace 2. Instead I managed to break the silly little addon. I'll play more with it tomorrow.

I see it there now at http://svn.wowace.com/files/BigWigs-r10921.zip
and it's also up at http://svn.wowace.com/root/trunk/BigWigs/ which is r10922
ammo has also recently been putting the file on wowi, 10921 is up there at http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=5086
