It is faster, I did notice that today, but I still have to look at that annoying little box every hour :) It took a long time, but it's really gotten to me...things living in the systray shouldn't pop up boxes that don't require user input, IMHO.
In general I'm still very pleased with the new client, but the "Scanning addon directories" hourly system slowdown is really starting to get to me. I have a fairly fast machine, but it still takes over a minute, makes my interface nearly unusable, and seems to happen "all the time." Any chance we could get an option to disable it, or at least have it only occur on startup? I think the case of "manually installed a bunch of addons and didn't tell the updater between reboots" is fairly rare...
All in all, working great. My only tiny request is to get rid of the little popup progress windows unless it's updating an addon...it's slowly getting annoying seeing "Scanning directories" every hour or so :)
Well, legacy support is important too...it seems all that'd be necessary is to look at the second field of the CLINK and see if it's item/quest/enchant/achievement, and if not, use fields 2-5 instead of 3-6. I tried to hack it into DecomposeLink function, but it turned out that my lua skills are too primitive. Maybe someone who is actually a programmer could add the two lines necessary?
Prat is getting confused by the lack of the first field. Maybe someone could tweak the code to check to see if it is item, quest, etc and handle the link properly?
If anyone is adept at text manipulation voodoo, it'd be *awesome* to have a mod that does nothing but remove the yells from Arcanist Braedin and the other Wintergrasp NPC. Pretty please.
I just have been testing a few theories and it has something to do with parsing links for BLUE quality items. They problem only occurs with links to blue items so far.
Not in my experience...in the first screenshot I attached, I specifically had people link me an item of each quality. You can see the white, green, blue, and purple quality items all have the same parsing problem.
I don't know what GEM is, so no, I don't use it :) I don't have any other mods that modify text or the chat frame, I guess I could try disabling everything else, although I note the above poster has already tried this. All other combination of chatlinks work fine, it's just chatter -> prat.
EDIT-Just tested with only prat running, no other addons. Same behavior. Isn't that code that's prepended to the item name, the item ID?
I have two requests, which I hope aren't too tricky!
The first regards chatlinks: half our guild uses prat, half uses chatter. Chatter can see prat's chatlinks properly, but prat can't decode chatter's. Any chance of that being fixed?
Also regarding chatlinks: it'd be really sexy to be able to get popups from mousing over chatlinks, rather than having to click on them. Pretty please :)
*None* of the Vehicle Exit buttons have been visible on the Pet Bar for any vehicles in any situation.
This is interesting, I was coming in here to ask about a very similar problem. When I use a vehicle, I have no problems getting the vehicle bar, doing the quests or whatever, but I never, ever get the Vehicle Exit button. I have the possession option enabled, so BT4 replaces bar 1 with the possession actions, and all my other bars disappear, which I believe is intended. From talking to other people, I guess Exit is supposed to be button 12, but it remains blank. The first time this happened I figured it was because my bars are 11 buttons long, but I changed them all to 12 and still don't get it. I've been typing /script VehicleExit() to dismount, which is a little cumbersome. Any ideas?
Since version 3 I've been having a really strange problem with items not being displayed. For example, ArkInventory currently does not show my "Pungent Seal Whey" at all. I've also experienced that it showed one stack of Adamantite Shell Machine although I had 3 stacks. Yesterday I got a gem from a party member and it just disappeared!
Now the funny thing is that when I switch to "Edit mode" everything works as it should and the items are shown correctly. They are sorted in the correct bars and everything seems fine. But when I switch back to normal mode they are gone. And the quick search cannot find the hidden items either.
This is a seriously weird problem and I'm not sure what's causing it.
I've tried creating a completely new profile with no changes at all to the settings but the same thing happens. Items are not shown.
Any help is appreciated because I really like ArkInventory and want to use it! :)
Check your bag display...when AI upgraded a couple weeks ago, one of my bags set itself to not display. It's trivial to just re-enable displaying of the bag.
Hey, I've been poking at autobar on occasion, I was just wondering if it was currently possible to drop a handful of pets and mounts into a bar? The last time I checked I couldn't add them to a custom bar, and I only want a couple on one...

Here you go, it just looks like something's wrong with the parsing code.
