    I was under the assumption that "Reinstall All AddOns" did not install with externals. I'll test it out tonight.

    After you do this, should you still see libraries in each AddOns "libs" subfolder? For example, after doing the steps above, I noticed I have *both* "...\AddOns\CandyBar" and "...\AddOns\BigWigs\Libs\CandyBar-2.0".

    When one has finished de-embedding the libraries, should there still be a "libs" folder for each AddOn? If so, should it be empty? I went through the process a couple times (tried the various methods mentioned in this thread), but every time I finish the "Reinstall All AddOns", I still see the libraries in the "libs" sub-folder for each AddOn. Am I missing something? Thanks.

    I had an idea for making the conjured items more consistent. Currently, there are two categories for mana gems. One is for conjuring them and the other is for consuming them. At the same time, there is a single category for conjured food and water that allows you to right-click to conjure and left-click to consume. The mana gem (2-category) approach is nice because it allows you to pick and choose the rank of mana gem. The food/water approach is nice because it only takes up one button slot even though you can't conjure lower ranks. It would be nice to have the best of both methods.

    I would like to propose that putting any of these conjured item categories onto a button would create a pop-up list of all ranks. Left-clicking on them would consume them, right-clicking on them would conjure them. If you had zero quantity of one the ranks, it would still show up in the pop-up, but it would be dim (so you could still conjure that rank if necessary). If all ranks were dim, you conjure the highest rank if you tried to consume (like how food/water currently works).

    Pros: all conjured items work the same way; each category only takes up one button slot
    Cons: some lower ranks of food/water are probably never used, but would show up in the pop-up list

    I gleaned this from the DamageMeters FAQ:
    There are specific category of messages that indicate they come from YOUR pets, but other people's pets come in the "random friendly player" category.

    If this is the case, wouldn't it be possible to merge a Mage's Water Elemental with it's owner? For example, player A is a Mage with an elemental. Player A does 1000 damage and the elemental does 500 damage. Player B's meter (which cannot account for player A's elemental due to the non-unique name in the combat log) only sees 1000 damage for player A. But, when player A broadcasts his next damage number, he will broadcast 1500. When player B receives this number, he can replace his own internal value with the one from the broadcast.

    Have you discovered I'm a Frost Mage yet? :)

    @dunnar: DPS time is tracked individually for each character. I.e. it's not time when *you* are in fighting but when *they* are fighting.

    As for Fight DPS, what I meant is that if you could put this-kind-of-DPS bars and damage dealt bars side-to-side, they would look exactly the same (except for the numbers, ofc). Thoses data are just redundant.

    Burst DPS answers to "who did the most damage in the shortest slice of time ?"
    Damage dealt answers to "who did the most damage ?"
    Fight DPS would also answets to "who did the most damage ?"

    Violation calculates individual, burst DPS. Individual because it doesn't take into account when others get in or out of combat. Burst because it only considers "uninterrupted" sequence of damages. Uninterrupted means with less than 4 secondes between ticks. Say you cast spells during 30 seconds, wait 10 seconds, start again 30 seconds. This will account for 60 seconds, not 70.

    If you want to compare the DPS on a entire fight, just look at dealt damages, divide the values by the fight length, et voil?, the DPS bars would have the same ratios as the dealt damage ones.

    Ok, I think I understand. One more question regarding DPS, how does this affect the other players on the DPS list? Does this mean that the number I see is their DPS during the time *I* was in combat? Or does Violation keep track of everyone's in-combat/out-of-combat status so as to calculate each person's individual, burst DPS independently of everyone else. Did that question make sense?

    Mainly, I wish to compare my DPS to everyone else on any particular fight. I want more than just the ranking (which can be given by simply looking at who dealt the most damage). If Violation can somehow track each person independently, that would be the best option. If not, I think there should be an option to allow users to start the timer when *anyone* in the raid enters combat (I think this is how DamageMeters works).

    I assume that "Target Threat" relates only to the threat list of your currently selected target while "Global Threat" is the total amount of threat for your raid party regardless of which target they have selected. Is there something you need to do to set the target for "Target Threat"? My list was blank. I know two players were running Violation and the rest were running KTM. "Global Threat" seemed to be working fine though.

    How is the time for "Damage per Second" calculated when you are not resetting your meters for ever fight? Is it an average DPS over the entire time the raid is in combat?

    I would like to see the option to have both my average DPS for the entire raid *and* my DPS on the last fight. I think I know how to configure Violation to show one or the other, but I'd like to know both.
