I'm not sure if this is a problem with the library, or with the front-end AddOns, but since it affects all the front-end AddOns, I decided to post it here.
I currently have Violation, Recount, Omen, and KTM installed. Out of the box, I could not get any threat data in the three the ThreatLib-based AddOns. However, when I turn off the "publish to KTM" feature in Omen, all three begin to work fine.

Jun 24, 2007Using WAU and updating without externals, I was greeted with some errors about not being able to find the graph library (GraphLib). Maybe it needs to be added to the !!!StandaloneLibraries package or made a dependency.Posted in: General AddOns

Ths has been brogut up before. The ratios for this would be identical to the Total DPS bars which makes it mostly redundant.ps from other users who parse over the combatlog can have a top dps in violation, even they are not every time infight because they drink or only watching. sw-stats have here other worth. I think it count the damage of the entire infight period for boss
Assuming you reset the data before a fight, at the end you will have a report for total damage done and another report for everyone's individual DPS (that is, the time is the time each person was doing damage, not the duration of the fight). I think it would be nice to see fight DPS as well (total damage divided by the duration of the fight). The ranking will be identical to the Total Damage report, but I'd rather not have to keep a stop watch on me to time the fight so I can do a manual calculation to determine everyone's fight DPS. Fight DPS is an interesting stat, especially when compared to individual DPS. I would like to see a module that supports this type of report.

I have added pet broadcasting to violation. This required quite a change. Please test :)

Probably been asked... but any plans on implementing a combatfader for the actionbars? would be pretty sweet =)
Issue is that Infinibar has the ability to do that, but no fadeout ability and vice versa with bartender3. =(
I'd like to second the fadeout on combat ability. I came up with a cool layout but it looks crappy when my hud and stuff fades out and just 2 bars are left.
I would also like to see a combat fader, or maybe an alpha setting for the Fadeout option.
Jun 14, 2007After last night's update (don't have access to the rev. number at the moment), I saw some strange behavior regarding Target Threat. When I targeted a mob, I got an up-to-date, accurate list of everyone's threat. As time passed, only players with Violation installed (me and one other person) had their threat updated. Everyone else's threat remained at the initial value. If I deselected the target for a second and then reselected it, the threat list was back up-to-date, but again, as time passed, only Violation users were having their threat numbers incremented. So it looks like the threat is being tracked fine and accessed when a mob is targeted, but the list isn't being updated for non-Violation users in real time as the fight progresses.Posted in: General AddOns
Jun 13, 2007That kind of seems against the original idea of Violation. That is, no matter when you start recording damage, you will always have an accurate list relative to the start point. I thought that was the whole reason Violation broadcasts the change in damage, not the total.Posted in: General AddOns
Not that I disagree with sync'ing from other mods. Just trying to play devil's advocate. :)
Jun 13, 2007Can someone explain how the DamageMeters spying works? Last night I joined a Karazhan group at the end of the night. When I did a sync, I noticed that half the players were listed with "DamageMeters" next to their name and the other half were listed with "combat log". After that I reset Violation and went through a few pulls. Then I noticed that the players with DamageMeters were listed much higher in damage done. I assume this is because Violation is pulling their total damage from the entire raid (before I joined) via DamageMeters. I didn't pay too much attention and didn't look for any new options to disable DM syncing so maybe I just missed something.Posted in: General AddOns

Merged with the caster if and only if he is running Violation.
Ohh...I didn't know this feature was added. Yay. Are you using the message category to gather this data then? Do you have to have the "merge pets" option enabled? Are there any quirks with merging this pet's data that I should know about (maybe during a sync with other players)?
Jun 8, 2007I just tested this twice. I deleted everything in my AddOns folder and clicked "Reinstall All AddOns" (default mode: no externals). I ended up with embedded libraries. When I deleted everything and clicked "Install without externals", I ended up with no embedded libraries.Posted in: General AddOns
Jun 7, 2007Posted in: General AddOns30 -- * Possibly keep two running totals: 'this fight' and 'overall', to allow

32 -- constant resets.
I saw this in the LUA...I would love this feature. Currently, I'm restting it before every boss fight so I can see my individual, burst DPS for that boss fight. Unfortunately, I lose the total damage done during the entire raid whenever I do this.
