That's why WoW has a "Looting this item will bind it to you. Are you sure you want to loot it? Yes/No" dialogue.Quote from
There is a quest item on Vash. So a bad clic can happen.

Aug 27, 2007Just a few debuff sources...Posted in: Unit Frames
Bane of Infinity and Curse of Infinity are I believe from Caverns of Time: Escape from Durnholde; unsure which specific mobs, but from some of the ones in the final part before engaging Epoch Hunter. Bane is the heroic version. It's also not a healing taken reduction debuff; it actually increases damage taken and also healing taken by 50%.
Carrion Swarm is used by Anetheron, and is also not a healing taken reduction debuff, it's actually a decrease to healing done.
Curse of the Bleeding Hollow is used by the orcs around Zeth'gor in Hellfire Peninsula.
Ebon Poison is used by the non-elite spiders in Caverns of Time: Opening the Dark Portal.
Filet is used by Spectral Chefs in Karazhan.
Magma-Thrower's Curse is used by the Sulfuron Magma-Thrower in the final boss event in the Arcatraz.
Mortal Cleave is also used by a few other mobs, including some of the trash in Serpentshrine Cavern.
Mortal Strike has too many possible sources to count.
Touch of the Forgotten is used by some of the mobs in Auchenai Crypts.
Aug 10, 2007While I don't have a transcript (or video for that matter), this WoWInterface post should still be interesting:Posted in: General Chat
This post by Cladhaire on elitistjerks.com should be interesting too:

The debuff limit can definitely still be reached depending on your raid composition and abilty usage. While we do have 40 debuff slots now, we also have a lot more people making use of these same debuff slots. If you run a particularly large amount of Warlocks or Shadow Priests it's fairly easy to reach the limit.Quote from Laric »
Is it likely you will reach the 40 debuffs? Iirc the debuff slots are 40 now. Knocking all those off requires some tenacity i would imagine.
Jul 27, 2007E-TPS stands for Encounter-TPS. It shows you the average TPS produced over the course of an entire fight. This differs from normal TPS, which instead calculates your TPS as produced by the last 15 threat producing actions you did.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Jul 26, 2007Just the range check would be perfect I think (mostly because I tend to always have Righteous Fury active regardless of what I'm doing simply for the 6% less damage taken as I have the talent), would also be helpful towards guilds that have their melee DPS weave in and out for Pounding.Posted in: Raid AddOns
And I suggested this before in the Karazhan BigWigs thread, but I'd suggest just handling Attumen's curse in the same basic way Water Tomb on Hydross is handled. This method will generate some extra warnings and may warn about a few people getting cursed you may not care about decursing though, but well, I assume most people will be able to tell which one is their tank without BigWigs telling them the tank's name.
The only one that's really hard to find a good handler for would be Remote Toy on Telonicus. You could just include all of them I suppose, but that's a fair bit of superfluous information.

Recount also offers the ability to give a rundown on the last events that happened to someone before he died.Quote from faux »
You may want to look at Expiration.
Though if you want just the death information you're probably better off with Expiration.

Forecast, needs everyone to have it installed for it to do anything like most such addons. (I think you can find it on Curse)Quote from illepic »
Your incoming heals addon, what is that?
Eavesdrop. Also, the "player target" window in the lower right hand corner?
A full list of what I use (Posting as picture since that's the fastest way I have available while taking the least amount of space at the same time): http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07295/addons.JPG
Also since that's not immediately obvious, the Judgement timer is simply a Focus debuff bar from ElkBuffBars that only has Judgement of Wisdom and Light on it's Whitelist.
(Edit: Amusingly I could probably half the size of that screenshot if I didn't unpack the package addons)
Jul 19, 2007Since everyone always posts all those "Hey look ma! Minimalist!" Screenshots here, I figured I'd go the other way around and show you what your UI can turn into if you're a raid leading information hungry guy like I am.Posted in: General Chat
And now back to your regularly scheduled minimalism.
Jul 5, 2007Could it be possible to add a Horizontal and Vertical alignment option to the Center Text(s)? Currently if you're using both Center Texts how they 'stack' depends on whether you're using horizontal or vertical bars; that is, Center Text 1 is above Center Text 2 if you use vertical Healthbars, while Center Text is to the left of Center Text 2 if you use horizontal Healthbars. It'd be nice if it was possible to choose your own Center Text alignment, as opposed to it being controlled by how you've set your healthbar.Posted in: Grid & Grid2

You are, in fact, running "Omen" if you're running Recount. Omen is just a front for the Threat-1.0 Library, and Recount makes use of that as well for it's Threat display (As does Violation). So if you don't mind keeping your live data to the Threat part of Recount you have no reason whatsoever to install Omen.Quote from Mrs. Steele »

Perfectly understandable just wanted to make sure the suggestion was out there. I'm sincerely looking forward to when the threat portion of Recount is reliable enough that I can uninstall KTM. Keep up the excellent job! It is much appreciated.
Checkout Omen, I think you will be pleased. :)
I have checked out Omen but I don't want to run two addOns if it isn't necessary. Since Recount will track threat and loads of other stuff, I'm okay with running KTM in the interim (since I'm used to it). Simply switching to another mod that I will eventually drop anyway isn't the answer. But thanks. :)
Jun 26, 2007This reminds me in a way of Planescape, though in a different way. One of the things about the Outer Planes in Planescape is that belief is an incredibly powerful force; convince enough people something is the case, and it will be the case.Posted in: General Chat
For instance, let us take the principle's wig on fire example, if you were to be able to get the belief going that the principle's wig will catch fire it will be catching fire. But the amount of belief needed is dependent on the complexity of the action; if we were to take making a church for example, for a god worshiped by such a church to become an all-powerful celestial being, there would have to be a lot of fanatical followers, inversely this also means that if something were to be done exterminating those followers, the celestial being would also weaken as each of his followers stop worshiping him. It also means that debating about existence is something you have to be careful with, if someone else is charismatic enough he could well convince people of an argument which involves your existence never having been, and you'd cease existing on the spot!
Jun 22, 2007Providing an overall sync lib might be nice, but it shouldn't be a part of ParserLib; it could have ParserLib as dependency but ParserLib in and of itself shouldn't have it included since there's a lot of AddOns which can make use of ParserLib that simply would never require synching.Posted in: Addon Ideas
So we could make, say, a mod called SwimmerLib (Swimmer because the first thing that popped in my mind at Synchronizing was Synchronized Swimming; don't ask), which is a generic handler for synching ParserLib related messages, which could than be added by other AddOns to handle the synching.
On the other hand, how many different mods do you usually run at a time that require the same kindof synching? I think this is mostly one of those things better left up to the discretion of individual mod develop[er/ment team]s.
Jun 21, 2007_ForgeUser23403 posted a message on FuBar_ThreatFu - light-weight front-end for Threat-1.0 (and its KLHTM support)Just gave the new functionality a shot today, setting/clearing a master target worked great, for the version query it reported everyone as "[name] pretends to use KLHTM [version]", even if they only had KTM installed. That's very minor though, and not something that really needs changing.Posted in: General AddOns
