Don't take this the wrong way, I know you're busy and that your time is valuable. I really appreciate the work done so far as well.
Do you anticipate being able to work out the "not completely done yet" stuff relatively soon? If not, no sweat... I'll probably move to something else temporarily and come back once it has developed a bit more. Last night, in raid, was a little painful between errors and vanishing frames. :)

Oct 15, 2008Prat 3.0 is working great for me so far, with one exception...Posted in: General AddOns
I have two tabs on my primary chat area. I would like them to not blink but also be shown. I enabled the Tabs module and played with the options but I cannot seem to make this happen.
If I leave the chat settings unlocked in the WoW Interface area, they fade when not moused over and are also draggable (despite the option to prevent it).
If I lock the chat settings, I cannot get to the tabs at all, they are always hidden regardless of option state in the Tab module of the Prat settings.
Advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for the hard work.
Oct 11, 2008Posted in: UpdatersQuote from HarpzDose this new CC work with Ubuntu under wine? as i just tried it and it hung :(
At the mo I'm using JWowUpdater which i have set up to install all addons manually (took a while but seems to work)
I only did some brief testing, but the client ran ok until you tried to actually install/update something. At that point, it bugged out about unzipping the files into tmp space or something and I ended up with a bunch of empty addon folders.
Does this imply that CC is cleaning the AddOn folders prior to update? If so, do we need an option to change that behavior since there may be AddOns with extra files in there (i.e. I have some texture files in my eePanels2 directory)?
Oct 8, 2008I'd love to test and play with the new client, is there any ETA on the Linux version? I saw that the plan was to get the Windows version polished up first, I didn't know if there was a projected timeline for that.Posted in: Updaters
*shudder* Come patch day, updating addons is not going to be fun.
For what it's worth, I'm happy to contribute via premium subscription and/or donations once there is a working Linux client.
Aug 2, 2008Sorry to post about this, I saw it was mentioned once before.Posted in: General AddOns
I have two chat frames on display, using YurrCL with ChatFrame2. I have all buttons hidden via the Prat config menu, this works fine. Once I added YurrCL into the mix (just today, I like it so far) the buttons on ChatFrame2 have reappeared.
Anyone think of a reason this might be? I can post to the Prat thread about it, but since it only shows up via the addition of YurrCL, I thought I'd start here and maybe some some information or something. :)
Thanks in advance.
Jul 18, 2008Did anyone ever figure out a fix for pet health bar color not updating to happiness level changes except via respawning it (i.e. dismiss/summon or mount/dismount)?Posted in: Unit Frames
Works great otherwise, I really like it.
Actually, looks like it sorta happens in other situations too. For example, I was invited to a group by a Pally so there was a Pally bar in the Party UF area, then he invited a hunter and both bars were pink until I /rl'd.
Jun 2, 2008Hey all. I read through the thread but never saw a resolution to this...Posted in: General AddOns
Has anyone figured out how to fix Parrot from saying "Survival Tree Ready!" and "Elemental Combat Tree Ready!" instead of "Traps Ready!" and "Shocks Ready!" like it should and used to?
Apr 18, 2008I am running a reasonably decent system, Athlon 64 dual core processor, 3GB of RAM, 2 nvidia 8 series cards in SLI, etc... operating system wise I am running Linux and WoW via WINE although the other person who mentioned the idea to me runs WinXP.Posted in: General AddOns
I will test tonight and see if the problem persists hiding the window and/or disabling the global data collect as you've requested.
Thank you for the quick response, it is appreciated (as is all your hard work on the addon itself).
Apr 18, 2008Hey there... I wish this post was going to have more useful information, but I didn't have much time to test this out.Posted in: General AddOns
For a couple weeks now, in Hyjal, I've seen my FPS drop from a normal in combat ~60FPS to <5FPS, sometimes just 1. I saw others on the WoW forums saying similar, and guildies, so I just tried to struggle through.
Last night, in BT, a guildie mentioned that disabling BOTH Omen and Recount shot his performance back up to normal. Previous to doing anything, my performance in BT was similarly crappy to in Hyjal (5-10FPS in combat, closer to 100 out of combat). So... I tried it, disabled both and to my surprise it worked. My performance jumped back up to the norm. I tried re-enabling both addons one at a time. First Recount w/o Omen and then Omen w/o Recount... both times performance was bad again. The only time it was back to normal was with both disabled.
For what it's worth, with both addons, I have tried removing and reinstalling and deleting all the (global and toon-specific) settings files several times.
Anyway, I know this is probably worthless without more info, if there is something specific I can do, please let me know.
Apr 3, 2008So /ttip or /tinytip options still doesn't work... but as someone said, who cares since the Interface menu works. (only even commenting on it at all so as to confirm that it does work for me)Posted in: General AddOns
The only other issue I have is that if I install TinyTip w/ no externals, it loads but doesn't work (at all, default Blizz tooltips). Not the end of the world, I just have to download TT and unzip/install normally. Just figured I'd mention in case there was a better way or a fix.
