    Interestingly in tonight's raid, although there was no way to configure it Bossblock wasn't blocking the boss emotes which is how my saved variables would be setup. I haven't looked at the code (not enough hours in the day) but it looks like it hasn't been killed outright just the options to change the config. Fingers crossed...

    You can setup an MT frame by creating a raid frame and using the filter option to just show MTs. This works for raid targets and raid targets'-targets frames as well.

    This is the only topic I could find for the FuBar_RestFu addon.

    There has been a long running bug that meant faction wasn't displayed for max level characters. This finally annoyed me enough for me to take a look. Turns out to be a simple logic bug. The following unified diff fixes it. Any chance someone can commit it?

    posted a message on PerfectTargets / SmartAssist type addon?
    Currently seing an error when showing the anchor, moving it and then hiding it again. The result of which is that the new position is not being saved. This is on live with addons updated via WAU earlier this evening.

    Swatter debug as an attachment due to excessive addon list =)

    I was playing with replacing my MT frames with ones generated with my main unit frame addon and I ran into a problem.

    I'd like to keep oRA2 running because of all the other features it gives me, but I could not find any way to disable the MT frame.

    Have I somehow just failed to find where the switch for this is? Or is this option really not there and so something that I can put forward as feature request?

    Omen2 uses character specific profiles, as such, positioning along with every other option is also per-character.


    If that was the intended behaviour then fair enough.

    It looks like this is the patch that changed things for me.

    Omen: Delay anchoring code to PLAYER_LOGIN event instead of VARIABLES_LOADED. Should fix remainder anchoring issues.

    So it looks like what I seeing before was Omen's frame using the Anchor from layout-cache.txt which was effectively setting the frame position per character. Clearly that patch was fixing a real issue and the behaviour I was seeing was basically a bug. Ah well, was handy for me while it was there =)

    That's... interesting. I suspect a number of other addons I use have the same (unintended) behaviour because of similar bugs =)

    Quick headsup.

    From what I can tell Omen:SetAnchors() only sets frame position not size. As a result it looks like size is still coming from layout-cache.txt which ties in with what I'm seeing. Even though all my characters are having the same frame position set they are each keeping their own frame size. It's possible that might be an issue in the problems that r70623 was fixing.

    Sometime in the last day or two Omen has started storing the frame position per character which is a change in behaviour. Didin't spot anything about this in the change logs.

    Is this an intentional, permanent change?

    Would be useful to know as it'll mean setting up & keeping synced profiles for all my characters just to have different frame positions. A bit of a pain =(

    I'd rather hold hold off until I know if this is a feature rather than a bug =)

    Now that AOE mode is starting to get some work I've been raiding in that mode most of the tme, as a healer AOE mode seems more intuitive then the actual Healer mode. Because I'm sitting with it in that mode I'm seeing one or two bits of odd behaviour that perhaps would be missed by people just susing for th odd bit of AEO (as iintended).

    1) Threat to dead things.
    It takes a while for things to be removed after they die. This isn't noticeable in single target mode or when doing damage in AOE mode because you stop generating threat since you can't damage dead things. When using AOE mode as a healer dead things still gather threat from your heals and you pretty oon end up with big red bars at the top of the list showing 100%+ threat on dead things. They do seem to get removed after a while but can be a bit distracting.

    2) Threat to 'pets'
    Like other posters I'm seeing my Mana Spring Totem and sometimes Hunter pets appear int he AOE threat list. It's very,very rare but it does happen. Seeing it about one fight every 2 hours or so.

    Even with these two minor problems I'm finding the new AOE mode really, really good as a healer. keep up the excellent work =)

    Quick request for the fubar timer.

    Can we have an option to turn this into a 'Blizzard style' timer so that it shows '12m' rather than '12mins 53secs'? It would help reduce the space on fubar consumed by the timer without any real functionality reduction.

    Found a couple of odd little quirks.

    ZOMGBUffs understand that some buffs are mutually exclusive. Warlock armour spells and Shaman weapon enchants are working great in this respect. However this logic isn't working for Shaman elemental shields. Rather than showing up as a single ability 'slot' where you can choose which buff you want to use it's possible to enable both Lightning Shield and Water Shield and you will constantly be reminded to rebuff whichever one you don't currently have. Things get even more fun when you add in Earth Shield as now you have three buffs only one of which can be active on you at once while ZOMGBuffs keeps telling you to buff the other two =) Since this is working for some abilities already should be possible to fix this?

    Also the Warlock spell Detect Invisibility is completely missing from the available buffs for that class.

    Can Macro Code & Macro Name binding have an Outside Unitframe option the same as Spell Name?

    This is something I'd find really useful and as it's already there in Spell Name should be possible.

    As for the trinkets, it is a side effect of equipping one. Unfortunately the workaround is big, complicated and ugly. I plan on putting it into the rewrite (which will have a different name), but not in this one. Sorry about that.


    No problem. I realise that anything with multiple cooldowns is going to be 'fun' to code elegantly.


    Basically for those that want the details, trinkets have 2 cooldowns.. One when you equip, which is usually shared with other trinkets, and one when you use, which is usually shared with other trinkets of the same type (eg, one that gives you AP on use will share with another that does the same, but not one that gives you crit on use)..


    I make it 3 cooldowns =)

    • 30s cooldown when first equiped - not shared
    • Cooldown shared by trinkets of the same 'type' to prevent two running at once. Runs for the duration of the buff
    • Cooldown of the actual trinket used itself - not shared

    I have too many trinkets for my own good =)
