I've been fiddling with my mod list this weekend and noticed that suddenly my item tooltips had info related to my character in them. I play a druid and when I would mouse over an item in my inventory, the tool tip would show a readout with Wowhead info claiming that the item was rated 500 for Resto or 300 for ferals, etc.
Then there'd be a little comparison saying that if I swapped the item in my inventory for my current gear, it would do (for example):
-75 armor
+4 stam
+4 crit rate
I was intrigued and wanted to look into this but suddenly it stopped showing up again. Unfortunately I was experimenting wiht a lot of new mods this weekend and don't know which one put the info there.
So is this ringing any bells for anyone? Which mod causes a display like this? Thanks in advance for any leads you might give me!
Is it possible to hide the header on the tracker when you have a background showing? I like to keep a background because I have bad eyesight and need the contrast with the text. But I don't need a random bar saying "Objectives".
After removing teknicolor from my game, the problem cleared up. I'll send a bug report to Tekkub but I suspect the new chat color system makes the mod obsolete.
Thanks for helping me get to the bottom of things.
Hmm - That makes it sound like teknicolor might be the cuplrit. It colors player names by their class color in chat. I wonder if it's redundant in PhanxChat (I've had teknicolor around for ages.)
Hi - I'm having a weird problem with the chat announcements whenever someone (other than myself) earns an achievement.
For example, if I get my first mini-pet, in my Chat panel, it will say"
[Merneith] has earned the achievement [Can I Keep Him?]
And if I hover of the words Can I keep him, I get a tool tip showing what the achievement is.
But if a party member or guildie gets an achievement, it says:
[PartyMemeber] has earned the achievement [PartyMember]!
And again, if I hover over the words in red, I get a tool tip that actually identifies what the achievement is.
So I have a few mods I think could be the culprit. Normally, I'd go through and try to disable them one by one but because the error only shows up if my party or guildmates earn something, I can't test it. Like I said above, when I earn something myself, I don't see the bug.
Here's the mods I'm using which I think might be relevant:
PhanxChat
Overachiever (overall Achievement mod)
Damn Achievments (cleans up the Achievement frame)
Achieved! (adjusts the Achievement popup)
ChatColorSync
NeonChat
TipTac
teknicolor
tekticles
GFW_Linkerator
I can print my full list here but these are the main suspects.
Just wanted to say - I upgraded to Premium today and the Client handled the switch seamlessly. I'm really happy that I upgraded. I liked the Client before but it's even better now. I'm also happy to be contributing to the Author program. Cheers, Curse staff!
I've been using it in my UI for awhile now and really like it.
Late to the party but I wanted to say - thanks for the link to this. That is one gorgeous font. I prefer sans-serif in my UI but I'm planning to use Linux Libertine to replace TNR on my system fonts.
Where are the jewelcrafter statues listed under Periodic Tables, please? I'm trying to add them to a Baggins config and I can't seem to find them anywhere.
I'm sorry to be so dim, but I'm having trouble figuring out the colorizing options in the quest tracker. I'd like for the colors to go from a light teal to a dark teal as I progress. I hate to be demanding, but are there any plans to let us choose a color with the default color picker?
Also, is there a way to not display images in the achievement tracker?
I don't mean to be negative. This is a really terrific quest mod!
Yeah, I thought that might be the trouble. With windows set to a dpi of 120, the whole screen gets cut off. All I see is this:
If there was a way to scroll the screen or resize it, it wouldn't be a problem but as it is, people with desktop resolution set to large can't get it to work.
I just got a new machine and I can't get CC to recognize my new Option choices. I want to check the box that says "close client whn I click X" and uncheck the box that says "start Curse at Windows startup". But the choices aren't saving.
I wonder - I have dpi set to large and I don't see any button that says "save my choices" or some such. I've just been clicking the red button on the top right. Am I missing something? Is that something related to the larger font display because of my dpi settings?
Or is it something else altogether.
I'm using Vista 32bit Home Premium, at 1280x1040 with Radeon 4850 graphics.
Oh - I'm not a premium subsciber so I'm just using the basic client, fwiw.
