I saw updates to HandyNotes (wowace) and TomTom (wowinterface) whose changelogs say they include a new Astrolabe. I copy 'n pasted the new Astrolabe from HandyNotes into my other addons that embed Astrolabe in case they didn't bump the library version number.

Did doing that make the CTRL+Right click behavior work?

There's a 3.1 compatible beta under that tab on the TomTom page at WowI - seems to work hunky-dory.

Thanks. I was using the release version (04-05), and that one wasn't working.

However, is the CTRL-Right click to make notes on the map working for you?

    Seems that is still broken.

@Twumi: I do recommend running embedded unless you want to debug something.
@Vux911: DeathTrack should no longer show double entries with the latest version. Can you test and verify?

I will! Thanks for the update! :)

Everyone keeps getting listed twice in RecountDeathTrack. Is this happening to anyone else?

Possibly modifying this line to just include the "last hit" data?

    	for i=1,Entries do
    	    SendChatMessage(string.format("+%.2f - "..DeathTrack[i].Name,DeathTrack[i].Time),loc,nil,loc2)
    	end

Woops, I'm a mad editor when it comes to forums heh, so you probably saw an old post. It does show this information in the tooltip, but would be great for reports too.

There are too many times when we wipe on a boss and we're sitting there wondering "so what happened?" With a click of a button I could report RecountDeathTrack and save the day. :)

Oh I see what you are saying. I'll look into it.

    Awesome!

I'm subscribed to this thread (as you could probably tell heh).

While you're looking into DeathTrack, is there any chance you might be able to add an option to show what killed the person in a report? For example:

In the above screenshot, it would be even more helpful if it could list a brief reason next to the person's name in a report saying what actually killed them (such as "Hateful Strike 23000", "Flame Tsunami 6000" etc). It shows this information when you mouseover a person in the window, but if it could do it in reporting as well this would make RecountDeathTrack just an incredibly amazing mod.

I could try to help as well, I'm just not sure where to look exactly for which function to modify the reporting and what variable holds the "last hit" details.

    Great little mod.

[Edit]: And I did just log into the game a few minutes ago solely for the purpose of dying in Crystalsong and getting a screenshot haha. :)

There is an external module that you'll have to install separately called RecountDeathTrack. It lists deaths in chronological order and you can can report the window data. It's still beta though.

Woops, I was talking about RecountDeathTrack.

In my experience it outputs in top down order. So whatever is at the top gets reported first, and unfortunately the top of the window often contains the latest events, rather than the first events.

Is this not how it should be?

Is there a way to make the reports output based on chronological order? In other words, report "top 5" outputs the first 5 people to die. As it is now, it outputs the LAST 5 people to die. The first people to die is the much more useful information.

If there is a way to manually do this by editing the lua files, please let me know that too. I know lua, but the reporting functions are a bit confusing to me.
