What distance checks you can use depends on the class you are playing. For 30 and 40 yard checks you need to have spells that cast on friendly targets with those ranges. If your class doesn't have spells like that Grid also can't detect if someone is within that range.

If you are a class with spells like that then I suppose it's a bug.

I noticed this with my Warlock. That makes sense about the distance options, I noticed when changing to another character than other options were available. I use 1 profile for all characters, so it confused me a bit. :) However, when using the Warlock units that are over yds away will not register as that. The only thing I see in common here is that the [Range] dogtag shows 28+ for units it works on and 30+ for units it does not work on. The units can be on the other side of EotS or AV, so they are way over 30 in all cases.

I'm having a problem with Grid's range checking. I have it set to turn down the opacity for targets over 30yds away. What appears to happen is it works fine for a bit then some targets are no longer dimmed anymore. I turned on the [Range] dogtag in pitbull to check what range these players were at. Strange enough players where the opacity works correctly are shown as range 28+ in pitbull. The targets that do not function show up as 30+ range in pitbull. I'm not even sure if this is related but it is the only thing in common I can find with these targets. All targets are WELL over 30 yds away from me and should always be dimmed in Grid. Does anyone have some ideas of settings I can check or something I can edit?

When looking through the vars LUA file I see 40 yds range and something about 28 yds but I have neither of these options available to me in the Grid configuration in game. Not sure...just pointing out some observations. Any help would be appreciated.

posted a message on [PitBull, omnicc] Aura duration only appears half the time
I've noticed this same issue. I just switched to AltAura to see if that helps, no go :( Same thing. So I posted this per the advice from the happy folks in #wowace:

    http://jira.wowace.com/browse/PB-237

If you have any information that might help in pointing to the solution of this issue, please add to it.

Small issue I noticed when using this mod. On the tooltips when recommending if a recipe is learnable or not, it says:

Design: Truesilver Boar which creates Figurine - Truesilver Boar

is Learnable when they are known. This also happens with Design: Golden Hare which let's you learn Figurine - Golden Hare. I'm just assuming the reason is because the item and the recipe name do not entirely match up and it probably does this for others as well.

I'll post next time the error pops up. I was really hoping development would continue and this would take over for Opium (think that is the one). From what I can tell, there really is no active development on any KoS mod, and something like this appears integral to the game to me. :)

posted a message on Comparable mod to ICU or TrackerAssist?
Bumping this old thread, but that ICU link doesn't appear to have anymore active development than Personal Sentry does. What we need is an active project to switch too. For now though, PS still works fine for me. I need something to help me quickly target enemy players, that is mainly what I am looking for.

I'm going to assume this project is no longer in development. Package still appears to work but getting some errors now and then. Can someone point me to a similar package that is being maintained? Thank you.

I am also having issues with CowTip not hiding the tips when in combat. I see there are several references to that in the past, any chance of a work around or a fix for this? Thank you.

    Quote from Pasus Nauran »

My only issue with it (from a technical standpoint) was that AuctionFilterPlus did not get along with it (prevented the search results list from building). Since I didn't use AFP much, I de-installed it and all was good.

AucAdvanced still needs some polish (as I mentioned). The lack of a scan button is a bit of a pain (I hate having to remember slash commands), and the seach results list is a bit small for my eyes. But the performance gain is phenomenal, and background scans (logging auction data of the pages you browse) is great, since it ensures you have data on the items that really matter to you even if you're not scanning regularly.

It hurt a bit to lose all my old data with the switch (and there's no plan to allow importing of Auctioneer 4 data), but it's not a big deal as the numbers were off due to long-term skewing anyways.

It can use Auc4 data in a limited fashion. There is a scan button as of the latest release on the top of the frame now.

There is a program out there called Website Watcher that can be configured to monitor changes on webpages. Perhaps that might give you additional ideas.

    This is awesome! :)

The only issue I see is that set bonuses are not calculated correctly. For instance if I swap out 1 item it shows me losing +20 stam, but that bonus only requires two of the other set which I do have. Just letting you know in case you did not. If there isn't a method around this automatically, perhaps manual adjustments could be applied so that the right totals could be seen.

Set Bonuses are already taken into account of in WoWEquip. If you believe this is not the case, can you report exactly which set and which set bonus is not being added correctly, and under what circumstances/combinations of gear? Feel free to try on different sets, their bonuses when the appropriate number is worn should be included already.

Syeren reported a similar bug with the season 2 priest set 35 resilience bonus not being added, but he somehow fixed it on his end by unequipping everything in WoWEquip, and then equipping them back on one by one and watching the bonuses add.

Ah! Ok, but don't laugh. :) Warlord's Pursuit the epic 60 pvp gear. For 2 items you get a +20 stamina boost. I have the full set and removing any one of the items removes the +20 stam boost.

I would like some sort of visible option when a buff is ending. Flashing bar, or something like that. I wasn't able to find anything when setting this up, so if it is already there someone please point me to it. :)

Not sure if it will be implemented. If you use PitBull, turn on the mouseover unit frame.

Was primarily interested in the frame following the cursor around. :( Anyway here is one vote for that feature. I recently moved from tinytip or tipbuddy (can't remember what it was) but that is the main thing I'm missing as it allowed me to check over targets very quickly.
