I really hope I'm posting in the right forum, but I'm also hoping someone can inform me about WoWAceUpdater.
I'm a technically illiterate person, that doesn't know how to write mods, but I do appreciate the great work of others who do. Unfortunately for me though, with my inability to use computers, I cannot seem to get WoWAceUpdater to work. So I'm hoping someone can explain this to me.
Here's what I think I have to do, but am still confused:
1. I click on http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Main_Page
2. I then clicked on 'Ace Updater' in the left hand side navigation column, which linked me to this http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WinAceUpdater
3. I go to the download bit, and I try to download the file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/wowaceupdater but there are multiple files here. So which one should I be getting?
4. I refer back to the URL in #2, and notice I have to get some .NET 2.0 Runtime. I have no idea what that is, nor what version to get.
5. Well after that, assuming I've just downloaded the correct WoWAceUpdater and the .NET thing, would I be right to install the .NET thing, then extract the WOWAceUpdater file/s, then click on the icon to execute the file?
Ok, so that's the steps, I think I have to follow, I'm hoping for someone to confirm or correct me in what to do, because I'm so terribly confused. Thanks in advance for helping.
however - go to microsoft.com and download .net framework 2.0 or short - .net 2.0 and the updater will function normally.

In the mean time, you could always focus yourself, if you don't use the focus frame, and position that with the party.
Yeah doing that atm and works like a charm - just could use the focus for other things like good ol' Millhouse Manastorm on Arcatraz endfight :)
I know I could use grid but I don't like it (sRaidFrames ftw) so this would really be the best way imho :)

Do you mean having two player frames, or simply grouping player with party? Besides the simple moving player next to the party group, I thought there used to be an option to attach the party frame to the player frame.
nah I mean like having redundant information - having your player frame but still having your window in the party frame.
This idd sounds wierd but it worked out so good for me I don't want to miss it and it would be great to have that (in my opinion not too big feature) in AGUF :)
Jan 29, 2007Hello,Posted in: Unit Frames
first of all I'd like to congratulate the author(s) on AGUF for their good work. They're by far the best UFs I've seen around :) There's just one thing which disturbs me as healer pretty much and I'd like to ask if you could at least think about it.
"Growing up" with castparty I was always used to have one place where all the partymembers including me go so I've one spot on the screen to spend special attention to in fights.
Now having AGUF this works out very good, big HP bars, combat text animation. Just my own unitframe is not near the partyframes as I'm used to have em in the middle right above a black border (viewport ftw)
Is it possible to add a (default disabled) option to show yourself in the party aswell with the other party frames? Died 1 time yesterday due to having my HP in another place and found it very disturbing to switch focus between the 2 places on my screen. I do think thats not much developing effort and as far I've spoken with other healers they also agree on having yourself under the partyframes aswell.
