Throndorin, the functionality you want doesn't exist in QuestFu. I was clarifying your request for Henrick, who thought your request was already implemented. QuestFu doesn't currently do what you're after.

It does that for quests you've already obtained. But I think the request was to have this option added to all items, regardless of whether you've already picked up the quest or not. So if you happen upon a [Snargleblaster], it'll list in the item's tooltip that these are collected for the "Gnome Hygenics" quest, even if you've never seen/accepted the 'Gnome Hygenics' quest before.

I don't know the exact command, but titles can already be shutoff.

A way to copy settings between panels would be handy. I made a nice (relative) panel for my General Chat, with custom colors/etc., then realized I needed a second one for my other chat window and had a heck of a time getting all the settings to match (mostly colors). Maybe an option of holding additional 'presets' beyond Global and Defaults? Or create new panel from Panel 1/2/3/etc?

The first true replacement for EngInv/Bags. I could never get vBagnon to work the way I wanted it to (I really wanted it to work just like EngBags, just with the performance gains). This appears to be that replacement. I see you already have stubs to add quality coloring and the like, which is about the only request I had.

I was going to suggest having some defaults sets for categorization, but really - it was so easy to configure that it wasn't a huge deal.

Ah... I guess I do have one request. Maybe a 'swap' ability, to in effect allow wholesale group moving. For example, let's say I have group 1 as Default, and group 15 as Quest Items. An option to 'swap' 1 and 15 so that 1 becomes Quest Items and 15 becomes default would be handy. Obviously, this is an easy case, but it would be of greater use if you have complex categorization. This is a very minor feature though.

Someone in another thread noted that externals will not force a mod to be marked 'updated' by WoWAceUpdater (changes to externals don't bump the revision number for the mod that depends on it). What you might want to do is set your prefs in WAU to skip the version check, and force it to re-download everything, at least once. This corrected a lot of strange inconsistencies for me (including ItemBonusesFu). No need to download additional libs or fix anything by hand after doing this.

I decided to try something completely different for my new UI, and it actually works really well:

Thanks for the inspiration. I'm now using something similar, and you're right, it does work pretty well. The traditional way of shoving _everything_ at the bottom of the screen makes it hard to separate out the information there - now cooldowns and the like are off to the side so they are still visible and in the field of view, but not dominating over the chat boxes (and allowed more room to add extra chat boxes/etc).

One major issue with this mod currently is that it will de-select your current target after about 3seconds. Very disconcerting mid-fight when you start getting skill errors ;)

Shouldn't be doing that any more -- are you using the latest version?

So I claim, but I will need to double-check. I may have updated it after having disabled it.

The locale issue seems to be a conflict with SimpleMiniMap, though I don't know the solution.

hey thirstenhall, can u tell me where i can download mik`s scrolling combat text?
I believe I got it from WoWInterface. It's not an Ace addon so check the regular addon sites for it.

Curse-gaming has it as well (search on "mik", and it'll come up as the default). I hadn't ever looked into MSBT until this thread... having it "wrap" the HUD is just excellent. I've switched from SCT to MSBT just for that feature. I happen to prefer MetaHUD over Ice/AceHud, and it works just the same there (even though MetaHUD isn't the same 'parabolic' shape).

Another vote for a file containing your custom textures Vill... your setup is quite nice. I'd almost be willing to run DART again just to get a look like that.

HUDs ftl, especially when you have the unitframes bottomcenter..

Odd. I tend to love HUDs when they correctly stack your HP and target HP bars next to each other. Makes it much easier to determine (for me) when to cut loose and flee. Prior to HUDs, I depended 100% on mods like Watchdog to cleanly stack hp bars (both for fighting and for party healing prior to things like PerfectRaid/Squishy existing).

thanks for the fix! Appreciate it!

understand what u mean about the scaling. Minor for me,..its a matter of taste i guess.
Or maybe a thinner image border on the 8 buttons. So its not overbearing...rather than scale itself.

    Just throwing out ideas...thnksa n a GREAT Mod..really!

I'd second the request for an optional 'thinner' sprocket gear border on the icons. I love the style, but the current gear thickness is a bit overbearing in relation to the icons (largely because I got used to the original minimap-button version). It is obviously a very minor request ;)

Sounds like an external addon call to me, have you looked at Consumer by chance?

use consumer + sprocket using the consumer macros and voila, there ya have it ;)

*swoon* I hadn't looked into Consumer. Apparently I will need to do so! Thanks for the pointer.
