    Well I like to know for future reference how much I'll need to heal them in the case that they do get hit and their bar is at 40%. If they have 10k life, I'll need to use a big heal; if they have 5k life, I'll get away with a small heal. I can know this in advance so that when I see them getting hit (but taunted off quickly) then I know reactively what heal I need to give them rather than studying the bar to see whether it says -1500 or -6000. And if they do have 10k life, I might (might) be able to get away with one more heal on one of the squishies before I give the tank a big heal.

    Also it might help to determine who should tank. Help, I say, because it's not completely obvious when you see that someone has more health that they're a better tank. But it does help. And that of course doesn't take into account tank skill, which every good tank does have. And while some people have an addon to show health, so do I so I should use it rather than saying "So, how much health do you two have?" And for that reason I like to show max health for all my partymates, and health deficit rather than fractional health. Even when they're dead max health shows up so between a wipe and recovery I have their max health in mind to determine if I was doing something wrong or what.

    Same situation with mana.

    But maybe that's just me.

    You see the "|" prepended before the mana-display. I want, that the "|" is only displayed when mana AND HP are NOT full.

    Negate takes care of the initial negative sign; what you needed is prepend( | ). Even so, instead of negate you could still have done prepend( | -) so that it prepended a pipe character as well as a negative, if you want to avoid negate. Also that Hide(100) works to hide CurHP only if CurHP = 100, not when at maxhp.

    I'm kinda curious as to why you might want to show health and mana only when it's not at max. It makes sense to a non-healer, I guess, but for that I would just not display curmp either way, and I'd probably not display curhp either. /shrug

    Anything you see under trunk is what most people download. It's the latest official version.
    Anything you see under branches is a branch version, and under each addon in that folder, there might be more than one branch version based on whether more people have tinkered with ideas for that addon.

    I have no idea about the tags folder.

    To download a branch version, you can for instance go to http://www.wowace.com/trac/browser/branches/FuBar_TrainerFu?order=name and at the bottom of the screen in the center is "Download in other formats: Zip archive". You'd want to select that if you want to download that. If you want to only look at it, you can click around in each folder and stuff, to take a look. Make sure, if you do install branches, that you move the correct folder to your addons directory. It's kind of a funky deal.

    Yeah the old highlight was blinding. I love the new style. The trouble here is that I had disabled the highlight module because of that fact, and then I see highlighting. =/

    Can you give us an option to not show the buff timer spiraly thing? It kind of breaks the view to make sure that everyone has my buffs, since I have buffs and debuffs filtered to show only those buffs I or another pally can cast or dispel. The buff timer kinda breaks that. If the option is there and I overlooked it, can you tell me where it is?

    I don't understand. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm counting on it and I'm sure it could be; but I just want to clear it up.

    I have the mod. I group with someone who doesn't know how to tank, can't keep aggro off of me so I can heal, and thinks I'm an idiot for not bubbling off aggro every 40 seconds.
    He doesn't have the mod. I can't give him a rating?
    He does have the mod. I can give him a rating, and he can see that? or is it reciprocal where he sees that I have a rating of 1 or that I gave him a rating of 1?

    Would we be able to give ratings to opposite-faction players? I've met some really awesome Hordies on my server (/wait, /Mind Control, /Fortitude), and I've met some really vicious ones too (/wave, /kiss, /Polymorph, /Pyroblast).


    btw, One reason to add textual flags -- perhaps a predefined list is the best way rather than user-definable -- is that there is a difference (IMO) between noob and loot ninja. And for opposite faction you might be able to say KOS.

    And what about this? Someone told me a while back that they were going to some instance, had to find a replacement, picked up this one; the replacement asked to be leader for marking, and then uninvited everyone. How would you call that?

    And another one: My guildie said that someone on my server (PvP, so all chars on the server are on the same faction) made an agreement to buy an item. The seller put the item in the not-to-be-traded box instead of the traded items boxes.


    In case you choose the path of having a predefined list of flags you can set, my thought would be:
    KOS (enemy)
    Swindler
    Noob, unwilling to learn; doesn't know aggro range; won't give 15-minute buffs because Symbols of Kings and Symbols of Divinity "are too expensive"

    I can't think of anything else right off. You might also consider positive flags such as simply "healer" or "great healer" or such. Just a thought. I'm not especially trying to lead you here; just want to make you think, and maybe other people have good ideas.

    Malice, your UI looks awesome. Where do your party frames appear when you're in a party? I'm interested to know what addons you have. My problem is that when I see a UI like that, I wonder if it has all the addons I have (and I know it doesn't), but I don't want to part with all the addons I have. :(

    I like the reputation element where it shows how much rep you need to get the next level. But it is annoying to see one line showing the main faction you just got rep with, along with all the other factions in that group. For instance, when you get rep with Booty Bay, you get spammed out with info on rep for the rest of Steamwheedle. Likewise of course with Horde and Alliance factions. Can you do something about that?

    Alright. I just thought if it was a fairly easy code it would be an awesome feature. If it's as difficult as you say, then forget about it. The value of the yield is, I think, nowhere near the value of the investment.

    Editing SV ftw. It is indeed very annoying that we can't have set FontStrings that are common to several unit frames so that we can update one and the others will change with it. It's another matter that we can't copy from one frame to another using a UI function. Yeah, either editing your WTF SV files or copy/pasting (Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V) is the way to go until all our dreams come true.
