    If I replace ItemRack 3 (that's what it says for the version) with ClosetGnome, I anticipate that I'll lose the functionality of having my two trinket slots (and whatever other items) on my screen available for me to click them when I need them. I'd rather not have them on my actionbar since it burns slots, and because I have two different gear sets. Is there another addon that you know of that could let me do this?

    I know this has been requested, but I might have missed a response on it:

    Is there a chance that we could get account-wide bag profiles? I don't want to set up the same bag format for all my characters, and I would rather not set up a format and then exit the game then copy the profile to the rest of my character saved variables folders.

    A little late, but at last I reply.

    I understood based on what you wrote before that the following two lines are equivalent (not that they're practical):
    1  [~Status?text([CurHP:Hide([MaxHP])] | [CurMP:Hide([MaxMP])])]
    2  [~Status?CurHP:Hide([MaxHP])] | [~Status?CurMP:Hide([MaxMP])]

    What I saw is that line 1 will show the pipe whether or not the unit is at maxhp and/or maxmp. So if it's at maxmp and maxhp, all it will show is a pipe. At maxmp, it will show curhp and a pipe following it and that's it.

    Line 2 will drop the pipe when either value is hidden.


    I just wanted to let you know that. I have another concern:
    On my threat fontstring, I have [~HasNoThreat?PercentThreat:AggroColor]. It's always green. I used to also have the [Target:AggroColor] in the name fontstring. It was also green, at least in combat (I can't remember what color it was when ooc). AggroColor appears to be green whether or not someone actually is being attacked. This doesn't make sense to me; could you explain?

    Also, could you add a tag [HasAggro] or something, or change [AggroColor] so that it's blank (not white, or any other color) when especially ooc or else simply not being attacked? This way I can use [HasAggro?...] or else [AggroColor? ...]. This is just a thought; if it doesn't make sense let me know. It's really not all that important to me, but it would be a little helpful.

    I noticed that selecting to install/update addons with no externals no longer binds F12 to that option. F12 is always bound to *with externals*. Can you change it back? I'm running 1.9.3.365.

    Wow, that looks really nice.

    What you probably haven't done and what you'll need to do is go to the unitframe's menu, go to Other > Layout > Save layout, and type the name of the layout that you want. Make it a spiffy name. Your layout deserves it.

    Having done that, go to the Pitbull menu and try exporting again. If you have any further trouble, post again regarding it.

    And you have to tell me what addon shows "20 Holy (Seal of Righteousness)", not that I can think of a reason that would be helpful; it just looks like something that I might like. lol

    In case you're still wanting to get the same information in the same fashion still, use the following:
    [CurMP:HideZero:Hide(100):Short][MissingMP:HideZero:Hide([MaxMP]):Prepend(-):Color(ff7f7f)] [IsMana?PercentMP:Hide(100):HideZero:Percent:Paren]


    The IsMana? is a check so if it's nonmana (rage, energy), it doesn't show percent, because otherwise it'll show "46-54 (46%)" and that probably isn't desirable.

    If you got the new Ace2 ElkBuffBars as Phanx suggested, you could use EBB to:

    display all the buffs you have that is relevant to normal operation (display them in the corner or wherever else)
    have a set of buffs for yourself (if you so desired) in a whitelist which would include whatever buffs you feel is relevant to combat, and have that anchored near your castbar if you so desire
    have a set of buffs for your target (and focus, I believe) in another whitelist with the same intent -- to include Scorch and Polymorph if you so desire

    If you have further questions on EBB, another thread would be more relevant: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=5467.0. It's pretty easy to use, once you get to be familiar with it. If you wound up using EBB, you could disable the Quartz buffs feature; they would both wind up displaying the same stuff, for the most part. I know Quartz does have some filtering involved (or at least I think I've detected it), but I couldn't tell you how it works.


    To Nymbia and whoever else is working on Quartz, could you add some functionality that would let Quartz and EBB work hand in hand on buffs? For instance, letting EBB anchor to our own castbars as well as our target's and focus'. Another interesting thought is also to work with PitBull to anchor the castbar to the unitframes. Nothing at all necessary, but something to consider if it's not over the top.

    No, unless it was lost on me. For all values DogTag supports, see /wiki/DogTag-1.0. If you are confused about how any values are used or the conditional phrases, another thread might be more relevant to that, but in any case I'll probably be able to answer because I've looked into it and have good familiarity with it.

    Navy, your sequence for your own power is equivalent to that for your partyframes, and is more complex than it needs to be. Both could be shortened to with no loss:
    [IsMana?MissingMP:HideZero:Negate:Red:Append( [CurMP:Bracket:White])!CurMP]

    You might want to add to that last CurMP a :HideZero, so it's blank instead of 0 if they don't have any rage.

    To be honest, these days I just display maxmana; my bar is sufficient to tell me roughly whether or not I am low or if anyone else is. Certainly MissingMP won't tell me anything worthwhile. If you're a druid or draenei priest, it might be of more use, but still doesn't make sense to me.

    Your health could be rewritten as the following, for a tad more functionality:
    [~Status?SureHP?CurHP:Short] | [Status:SmartMissingHP:Red] [~Status?PercentHP:Hide(100):Percent:Paren]

    This looks pretty good, but could you add an option to (or could someone suggest an addon that can) track common cooldowns that would be relevant though they're not you're own?

    What I'm talking about is stuff like
    Righteous Defense (if it was only 10 seconds, no need, but 16 seconds is sometimes very relevant as I saw in Old Hillsbrad recently--aggro was all over the place, hard to keep track)
    the shout and roar that forces everything to attack the warrior or druid
    battle res
    soulstone
    and whatever else.
