    Can someone explain this on my tooltip:
    Holy Light Rank 11
    840 mana
    Heals a friendly target for 2196 to 2446. (This here just for context, in case anyone wonders)

    +Heal (eff.): 316.3 -- (dps gear, not healing lol)
    Coeffs: 1/0.714/443
    ...
    +1%/22.08 Crit: +13.2 (17.6 +heal)
    +10 Heal: +7.5
    +1% Total (Cr/Heal): 46.2/36.7
    ...

    My question is about the coefficients. Why three values? What does each value mean?

    EDIT: I see now that the 0.714 = 2.5 / 3.5 (cast time / standard 3.5); and 443 is my spelldamage/healing in that gear. And I assume the 1 is simply the coefficient that the spell uses.

    And I understand the +1%/22.08 crit, and I understand +10 heal, but what are the two values of +1% total (cr/heal)?

    posted a message on Parrot? Link?
    I know that I saw options for filtering out low-damage hits or low-health heals, but I can't find the option right now. I thought I searched high and low in the Niagara menu, so could someone tell me each menu and submenu to go through to get there? Or maybe it was a different bug that I never saw any of my hits or any of my heals in heroic ramps with my pally and hits in Black Morass with my mage.

    I had at one time set my filters to roughly 100 for each category -- heals and hits -- and as you might guess, most of my heals and most of my hits were well above that. But I never saw ANY references to damage, even though I saw loots come from Parrot. Any ideas? Or was it fixed more recently than I had updated? I was using r45452.

    posted a message on CooldownCount (Ace2)
    I think even Windows' Notepad didn't even work for me. In any case, I've used Notepad Plus, and determined that it works if you replace the fairly obvious-looking block (the only one that looks similar) in CooldownCount.lua with this:

    function CooldownCount:GetFormattedTime(secs, useSmallFontSize)
    	-- always perform small font size
    	local size1, size2, size3, size4
    	if useSmallFontSize then
    		size1 = size2
    		size2 = size3
    		size3 = size4
    		size4 = CooldownCount.db.profile.size[1]
    	else
    		size1 = CooldownCount.db.profile.size[1]
    		size2 = CooldownCount.db.profile.size[2]
    		size3 = CooldownCount.db.profile.size[3]
    		size4 = CooldownCount.db.profile.size[4]
    	end
    	-- return cc now value, next update value, font size, toggle two color
    	if secs >= 86400 then
    		return ceil(secs / 86400) .. L["d"], 					mod(secs, 86400), size1
    	elseif secs >= 3600 then
    		return ceil(secs / 3600) .. L["h"], 					mod(secs, 3600), size1
    	elseif secs >= 600 then
    		return ceil(secs / 60) .. L["m"], 					mod(secs, 60), 	size1
    	elseif secs >= 360 then
    		return ceil(secs / 60) .. L["m"], 					mod(secs, 60), 	size2
    	elseif secs >= 60 then
    		return string.format("%d:%02d", floor(secs / 60), secs % 60), 		2, 	size1
    	elseif secs >= 10 then
    		return floor(secs + 0.5), 						secs - floor(secs), size3
    	else
    		return floor(secs + 0.5), 						0.5, size4, true
    	end
    end

    I tabbed out each argument so it'd be easier to read, but it's not necessary to do really. Anyways, basically note the last two non-end lines that say "else / return..." I would think that this is the best way to render it, not with an "end / return".

    The main difference, though, is "elseif secs >= 360" and "elseif secs >= 60". It'll work to show minutes and seconds for cooldowns that are currently lower than 6 minutes. This could be modified, and probably should. Me, I'd recommend less than 2 minutes to be shown this way (change the "360" to "120" or maybe "150" for two and a half minutes. Three minutes is fine, but more than that is kinda pointless. Anyways, I did notice that the font was big, at least on my screen, and bled into the next icon which wouldn't be too bad but I had two cooldowns next to each other.

    I've tinkered with it for the past few minutes, and I've decided to give up. No matter what change I make (even a dummy change), the addon breaks for me, so I have to bring up my backup CooldownCount.lua file to make it work again. Any idea why that is?

    Anyways, can you make it so that it shows shorter cooldowns (like less than 2 or 3 minutes, same as with OmniCC) so that it shows minutes and seconds? It's especially helpful for when the trinket cooldown is 1:30 rather than 2m that it shows.

    posted a message on PitBull - official topic
    I might have missed such an announcement, but I did search for HealComm on the forum. Is there any plan to make it so that the heal estimator in PitBull will take information about heals coming from other than yourself? It would help significantly enough in a 5-man group (as an offhealer, or as a tank), let alone a 10-man or larger raid. VisualHeal would work well as a tank, but I'd rather see it in PitBull.

    posted a message on Parrot? Link?
    If I could make a suggestion in this thread, I don't know if it'll get to ckknight, but maybe someone could pass it on. Or maybe someone knows how to do what I want done.

    I see that when you loot something it shows how many you gained and how many total that you have. Can this be done for soul shards, and how? I looked a bit at the code, but I can't make heads or tails as to how you can rig it. And for the tags, for loot it uses [Total] for the total number of items by that name. I tried it with shards and it doesn't work.

    Edit: I think I've found my problem. I'll find out shortly to see if it works. In the CombatEvents.lua file, you'd change the most obvious block with the following:
    if playerClass == "WARLOCK" then
    	Parrot:RegisterCombatEvent{
    		category = "Notification",
    		name = "Soul shard gains",
    		localName = L["Soul shard gains"],
    		defaultTag = "+[Name] ([Total])",
    		parserEvent = {
    			eventType = "Create",
    			itemString_match = "item:6265:[%-%d:]+",
    			isCreated = true,
    		},
    		tagTranslations = {
    			Name = "itemName",
    			Icon = function(info)
    				local itemLink = info.itemLink
    				if itemLink then
    					local _, _, _, _, _, _, _, _, _, texture = GetItemInfo(itemLink)
    					return texture
    				end
    			end
    			Total = function(info)
    				local oldTotal = GetItemCount(info.itemLink or info.itemName)
    				return oldTotal + info.amount
    			end,
    		},
    		tagTranslationHelp = {
    			Name = L["The name of the soul shard."],
    		},
    		color = "990099", -- purple
    		sticky = true,
    	}
    end

    Also, running in full cpu profiling mode, it seems that AuldLangSyne uses significantly more "cput per second" than any other mod I have, including big ones like PitBull and Bartender3.

    Using embedded libraries? Then don't worry about it. It's the libs, not the addon.

    Thanks for the heads up :) Turning it back on!

    Yeah, notice that if you turned off AuldLangSyne and did CPU profiling again, something else would show up as consuming all that activity.

    Na it didn't work, must be a bug then.

    And Seerah, I know of the option but I like the white health. I just want it red at 20% as a small simple notice that I'm in execute range.

    Here's what I would have for what you're asking for:

    [~status?percenthp:lessequal(20)?red][surehp?curhp!percenthp:percent]

    What I would add is a conditional to make health color red if I have the necessary rage. I'd take into account that execute costs 10-15 rage (depending on talents) and most other skills cost 10 to 20 rage (10-15 for heroic strike; 20 for cleave). I'd say if you ever have more than 30 rage (heroic strike + execute) it's red; if it's 15-30 it's yellow; if it's 0-15 it's white.

    [israge#player?[curmp#player:greater(29)?red]![curmp#player:greater(14)?yellow]] [surehp?curhp] | [percenthp:percent]

    That's probably what I'd do. I can't say for sure that it works as written, but it probably does, and while it could be rewritten in a more streamlined fashion, it should do the job at least.

    I can't seem to get the latency on the right side of the bar when I'm casting a non channeled spell. In the original screen shot the latency is on the right but mine is on the left. How do I move it to the right?

    Is the latency embed option selected? If it is, it's on the left. If it isn't, it's on the right. I couldn't tell you the rationale for this decision, but that's the way it is. In fact, I'm curious as to why it is, that if it's embedded the latency shows up on the left.

    Oh and how is it 'faster' ? The ad in WAU is loaded Once per load, its only a few KB. Its more likely that perception is entirely in your head.

    I don't know much about stuff like this, but if WAU loads IE (even a segment of it), won't that take longer to load WAU than if it didn't?

    Because no file on files.wowace.com is a release version! We are getting automatically packaged files from the development SVN repository. The developers are not the ones putting a strain on wowace.com. We users are.

    How about files.wowace.com becoming a repository (or whatever you want to call it) of only tag versions, rather than the trunk versions? For those that aren't familiar, see http://www.wowace.com/trac/browser and bear in mind that tags is the directory for "official, stable" versions; trunk is the directory for current, stable developer versions; and branch is the directory for working copies that different people might be writing.
