Oh my, this thread got big while I wasn't looking.
Does it still happen if you hit escape a couple times then re-open the menu?Quote from
OK, I'm getting the breakage where things don't show up in menus again. The debug output looks like this:
(blah blah blah)
-----MENU STARTED----- Special Minerals nil nil nil
-----STARTING SECOND LEVEL-----
line660error Smelt Silver
-----SUB MENU STARTED-----
-----SUB MENU COMPLETE-----
Yep. I'll let you know if I still get it with the new version. Weird little problem.
I get the same behavior and debug messages (no enchants show up in the menu, just blank spots that report "nil" in the debug output) for enchanting with Manufac r24917 (1/13/2007 8:46 AM time stamp on folder). It only affects Enchanting; Tailoring, first aid and cooking all work fine. No, hitting escape does nothing to change this. Deleting the .lua file does nothing. It seems that if I DE something, the menu starts to work correctly. I will try to confirm this tonight.
Other than that, great add-on. I like the effect it has on tailoring and mid-combat bandage making. I really really really hope I can help solve the enchanting bug. Let me know what I can do to contribute to your debugging effort.
Confirmed! I had to have a minimum of enchant mats (5 vision dust for my test) to show ANY enchants. This may only apply to those who are having trouble viewing the enchant menu; if that is the case, try getting the min mats for any enchant, refresh your list, it should appear. you may have to switch the "Can Make" option on as well. I did not have time to exclude that as a factor.
Thanks again Nymbia. Let me know if I can do anything else to help fix or improve this add on.
