    posted a message on Omen3
    Just a suggestion, as I don't really know much about mod writing, but is it not possible to send untiID's to each other via a comm channel or something? Raid scanning is CPU intensive, but if omen3 can send unitID's to each other would it be any better proformance wise? Assuming it does work, the only disadvantage i see is it requires everyone to run omen3 to be able to send unitID's to each other. Players have for years have gotted used to all using the same threat meter, so it's not exactly a major problem to for a raid to all use the same threat meter.

    On a side note, using ZTM in native mode, I have always found that it never returns any threat info about mobs that are not tagged by you (grey name), even if you attack and damage it.

    I have a question, I use both Grid and Xperl. If I install Grid Quickhealth, do I also need to install the libquickhealth separately for xperl to use it as well? I noticed Grid Quickhealth has the library within the folder (with externals as they call it) so I am asking if xperl will pick it up as well.

    This may be a stupid question, but why isn't there a "Refresh" button in the blessings assignments, like in pally power? The Broadcast button only sends out your setting assignments to other players. The Refresh button should READ what the other paladins have set. I have found that when you don't have raid assist, the blessings manager still lets you assign blessing for other pallys, but they don't register on their pally power. So what you set for them changes in your interface, but doesn't update on theirs.

    I don't know how in technical terms how pally power works, but I'm sure in PP whenever someone clicks a blessing, a "challenge and response" request is sent to the other player's PP. Then it replies if the new setting is accepted or not. If the reply is yes, THEN it is reflected in your own interface. Because ZOMG doesn't do this (again i'm not sure technically) it's the cause of many compatibility problems between ZOMG and PP. The problem with ZOMG is it is written assuming that it will accept all assignments, but with PP the default is to not accept assignment from other unless they have raid assist.

    Although the blessing manager of ZOMG is far superior than that of PP's, until the compatibility problems are ironed out, I am still forced to use PP as unfortunately I'm the only one in the guild that uses ZOMG, and our class leader refuses to use ZOMG for some reason, and it's him most of the time that has raid assist and not me.

    Makaijin: It's probably best to use Teksloot, it's a direct clone of Group, and has that feature. If and when I re-write Group, that is one of the features on the list to include.

    Thanks for the heads up. Didn't someone else have done a rewrite of Group.

    I don't know if this has been suggested before, but on the roll window with the NGP (need/greed/pass} count turned on, is there a way so that there is a small window with a list of names when i mouseover the NGP saying who chose what? The reason I ask for this is our guild 10 man runs, most of the time we use group loot instead of master looter. Our sharder will always choose greed, and because of it I can't choose greed for offspec items. Normally I tend to wait for most people to choose their option, and a list of names on a window displaying who chose what will help loads in deciding if I should take need on an item. The mainspecs might all pass on an item, but someone might choose need for their offspec use. Having a list of people show who chose what saves me asking on raid chat alot of times, especially on ZA timed runs when we're trying to squeeze as much time as possible.

    I'm not sure if this was recently added, but I have noticed the blessings manager now allows dragging of individual blessings icons from one paladin to another paladin. This is a nice addition, making it easier for me to rearrange which paladin gets which blessing assignment per class. But one thing it doesn't do, is it doesn't move the exceptions along to the new paladin when I drag it around.

    Another thing I do like the generator to do, like i said last time, is to prioritise giving greater Salvation over instead of giving it an exception. Apart from the case of a DPS warrior and maybe a Feral where they would want a small salvation, in most other cases (for all hybrid, non tanking classes) I prefer to give the DPS spec a greater Salvation over say, giving a healing spec a greater Wisdom. Salvation dropping mid fight for a DPS is more breaking compared to a healer losing his Wisdom mid fight. Over a course of a fight, someone with say wisdom may only regen enough mana for maybe 2-3 extra casts, while a DPS losing a -30% threat is almost effectively a 30% DPS loss if he's riding the threat meters already.

    I'm not sure how the generator is setup, you did say the generator tries to make it so to minimise people with having to assign fewer smaller buffs as possible. But in 10 man situations, chances are there is only 1 of each spec per class, say only a Resto shammy and a Elemental shammy. In this case I want the generator to give the Elemental a greater Salvation, and the Resto the smaller Wisdom. Currently in these cases all hybrid DPS always gets a smaller Salvation, and every raid I have to manually change them around.

    Another suggestion.
    Is it possible to make it so I can assign/switch which paladin gets assigned to which row on the blessing manager? For example, when the generator generates an (almost) complete row of Kings and Salvation, I want to be able to switch who gets which row. Reason I ask this, a few paladins insists on doing all Kings etc, and I want to be able to swap the paladin list order in the blessings assignment, by dragging or pulldown list or whatever works. Currently, if i wanted someone else to be assigned a particular row of assignments, I have to click each class separately for both paladins, which kinda defeats the purpose of the generator in the first place. Reason I ask for this is, as a Prot Paladin, I want to be the one buffing them Salvation, which some lazy Holy Paladin insists on Kings. I want to be able to rotate which paladin is assigned to which row.

    For example, lets assume the auto generator gives the first paladin A a complete Salvation, and paladin B all Kings. But paladin A wants to buff all Kings instead. I want to have a little arrow or a pulldown list which lets me move paladin A down the list, so swapping the listing order of each paladin on the blessings manager.

    Simply put, I want to be able to move the paladin listing order around on the blessings manager, so I can assign who gets which row with ease.

    In the Blessings Manager, is there a way to set greater/normal priorities for a sub-class for a given paladin to buff? For example, When there is both a shadow and holy priest, I want to be able to set it so that Greater Salvation is always cast first, and the Holy Priest will always be assigned as an exception to buff Wisdom. As it currently is, the subclasses reading from left to right, the left will always be the one to get the greater blessing (typically a healer subclass). I want to be able to assign which gets the greater blessing, and which gets the shorter blessings for a given sub class manually within the blessings manager.

    The current way around it is to manually buff the person(s) involved using the learning function. I want to be able to assign it in the manager, generate, and be done with it.

    Edit:
    Other examples I can think off is that I would want to make sure the Prot Warrior gets the Greater Kings and with the DPS warrior getting the shorter Salv, or a Bear Druid getting Greater Light over a Moonkin getting a shorter Wisdom, etc etc. I'm sure different people have their own preferences on which subclass gets the Greater Blessing over which other subclass classified as an exception.

    posted a message on DrDamage - Official Thread
    Hi, I'm new to these forums, and I don't know where to post this, so I post it here.

    It's a correction to the paladin's Improved Holy Shield talent, and it giving wrong calculations.
    Currently, if you take the imp. version, on DrDamage, it displays 8 charges correctly, but the spell co-effcient does not increase to compensate for the extra charges. With the normal Holy Shield, it has 4 charges, with a 5% co-effcient per charge totalling 20%. If you take the improved talent, the charges are increased to 8, but the spell co-efficent calculation does not reflect the changes staying at 20%. With this DrDamage is dividing the total damage wrong, still assuming co-effcient of 4 charges but is dividing it by 8. For each point in the improved Holy Shield talent, the co-effcient needs to increase by 10%. The talent works like this;

    Holy Shield co-effcient is fixed at 5% per charge, no matter the rank and talent points spent.
    Stock Holy Shield - 4 charges, total co-effcient 20%
    1 Point in Improved - 6 charges, total co-effcient 30%
    2 Points in Improved - 8 charges, total c0-effcient 40%

    I had a quick look into mage.lua to see how the code affects the Enpowered Frostbolt talent, and applied it to the paladin.lua file under the self.talentInfo section.

    [3] = { Effect = 0.1, Spells = "Holy Shield", ModType = "SpellDamage", },

    With this, for every point in improved holy shield, it will add an extra 10% co-effcient in the calculation, and it should now return the correct values.

    Also as a bug report, since I don't know where to report bugs for this addon. If you have points in 1 hand weapon specialisation, I've noticed that as a paladin, if you login with a 1 hand weapon equiped, the 1 hand bonus talent damage multiplier gets applied twice, but if you login with a 2 hand weapon and relog or do a /reloadui then equip a 1 hand weapon afterwards, the multiplier is applied correctly.
