    Thanks for the quick reply - that alpha version allowed me to log in without generating any errors.

    Thanks much - I haven't actually been in a group yet, but I was able to log in with no errors so it's looking good. Appreciate the quick reply!

    "Removed global references for core modules – you will need to update your plugins to work with this release!"

    GridStatusMissingBuffs has begun throwing errors, so I've had to revert back to a less-current version of the Grid core ... any hope of an update to work with the new Grid protocol?

    Hopefully this will be of some assistance too - I notice that if I log in a character and immediately, preemptively, change the Player font to <any font> and then back again, the first time I take a flight somewhere I get no errors. It's just a matter of remembering to do it.

    Related - is there anyway I could automate this a bit through a macro, rather than having to open the options window, open the font drop down, etc?

    Definitely do-able, and usually what I end up trying to do. The problem is the inevitable 'AFK-nazis' on the constant prowl for people to report and grouse about. Guess I just don't configure quick enough.

    What I'd love to see is an AddOn that can somehow make the game think you are in a raid when you aren't, for the purposes of configuring Raid AddOns like Grid and Decursive. Some AddOns, like Shadowed Unit Frames and PitBull and others, have 'configuration modes' for setting up Party and Raid frames, but many don't.

    The biggest stumbling block I can see is, I'm not sure there's any way to do it in a generic way, given that I'm sure Blizz blocks anything that would allow solo players to enter Raid content. So it would probably have to specifically hook into other AddOns by name, and then it quickly gets unwieldy trying to support so many other AddOns.

    Would still be nice though - it can be a pain having to join a BG just to be able to see how certain things would look in a 25-man.

    posted a message on IceHUD
    Does anyone else have issues with the "Incoming Heals" display on the Player Health bar sometimes working, sometimes not? It's been kind of a recurring problem for me, but I generally use some kind of other unit frame as well as IceHud so I haven't worried too much about it. Now I'm using only IceHud though, and can't seem to pin down why it's usually off and will only display occasionally.

    If it's just me, I'll download VisualHeal or something to work around it. :P

    EDIT: I threw a copy of LibHealComm-4.0 into the /libs folder just for giggles, but no change.

    I have discovered that if I go to the 'PlayerHealth' module and check the "Always show at 100%" checkbox, I can see incoming heals ... as soon as I uncheck that box though, they are no longer visible (and naturally I don't want my Health bar showing at full alpha, all the time).

    EDIT2: Weird - I've been playing my Shaman for about an hour, incoming heals not showing ... then all of a sudden, they started showing. I didn't make any options changes to anything at the time, I was just around killing things. :) I wish I was able to reproduce it reliably, but it seems pretty random.

    Yeah, enabling the Player module seems to pretty consistently prevent this error - that doesn't really work for me though, I'm using a Hud for my and my target cast bars, using Quartz only for Pet / Focus / Mirror / Flight.

    I also can't just enable the Player module to prevent the error and then make
    the bar alpha 0% or anything, cuz the Flight module inherits from Player.

    Thanks for reading. :cool:

    EDIT: Seems like it might be somehow not initializing. What I mean is, let's say I log in to the game - the first flight I take is going to spawn the above error (unless I have the Player module enabled), and continue to stack errors until I log out or change the font for the Player module. After the font is changed it seems to work fine on subsequent flights, even if I change it to whatever the original 'problem' font was. The problem won't return until the next time I log in.

    posted a message on Quartz: Modular Casting Bar
    Oh man, I really hope this isn't another of those "right in front of my face" things!

    Since the 3.0.2 series started, I've been getting two errors when I take a flight somewhere. Odd thing is, doesn't seem to affect all my characters, just some, even though all 10 are using the same Profile.

    This one occurs only once:

    Quartz-3.0.2-2-gf3ede34\modules\Flight.lua:146: <unnamed>:SetText(): Font not set
    Quartz-3.0.2-2-gf3ede34\modules\Flight.lua:146: in function `BeginFlight'
    Quartz-3.0.2-2-gf3ede34\modules\Flight.lua:118: in function <Interface\AddOns\Quartz\modules\Flight.lua:116>
    (tail call): ?:
    Flightmap-3.0-2\FlightMapTimes.lua:325: in function `FlightMapTimesRecorderFrame_OnUpdate'
    <string>:"*:OnUpdate":1: in function <[string "*:OnUpdate"]:1>

    This one continues to propagate unless I either log out and back in, or open /quartz and change the font on the Player bar (which the Flight uses as a base) to a different font. It doesn't matter which font, as long as it's different than the one it was - I've tried about 8 fonts and they all have this new error (using SharedMedia):

    Quartz-3.0.2-2-gf3ede34\CastBarTemplate.lua:91: <unnamed>:SetFormattedText(): Font not set
    Quartz-3.0.2-2-gf3ede34\CastBarTemplate.lua:91: in function <Interface\AddOns\Quartz\CastBarTemplate.lua:58>

    It seems to only be the Flight timer, I'm having no other errors generated - could it possibly be because I have the underlying Player bar disabled, but am still using the Flight timer?

    @mook:

    Thats the Mirror Bar. You should be able to turn the ready-check-bar off individually in the options of the mirror bar, or well just turn the whole thing off.

    Thanks for the quick reply Nevcairiel - I eventually realized it was the Mirror module when I noticed the same 'Ready Check' bar showing the 'Logout' timer. Noticed the specific toggle-box for 'Ready Check' shortly after.

    I really need to stop updating AddOns on so little sleep, it was all right there in front of me. :cool:

    At any rate - keep up the great work, Quartz is a definite "must-have" for me!

    Love love *love* this AddOn, so happy it's still going strong - thanks for all your hard work!

    One thing I can't find an option for though - I just updated to the very latest version (all Ace3), now every time someone calls for a Ready Check, I get a tiny timer bar that says 'Ready Check' on-screen. Can't seem to figure out which bar I need to un-enable to make that not show up.

    I'm assuming that's a Quartz bar, I only updated a few AddOns today, and none of the others are bar-related. :cool:

    Thanks!

    EDIT: It's apparently a new function of the 'Mirror Bar' module for anyone else interested. On the "Mirror" module options there's a "Bars and Settings" tab, including a toggle checkbox for "Ready Check".

    Having an issue with the 'Sounds' module for notifications on Quest Objectives and Quest Completed - as in, they don't seem to fire anymore? Wondering if anyone else is having the same issue, or knows of a way to kick it into working.

    Thanks!
